¹⁰ Now Ephron was sitting in the midst of the sons of Heth. And Ephron the Hittite answered Abraham in the audience of the sons of Heth, even of all who went in at the gate of his city, saying,

¹⁸ to Abraham for a possession in the presence of the sons of Heth, before all who went in at the gate of his city.

¹⁰ And the servant took ten camels, of the camels of his master, and departed, having all goodly things of his master's in his hand. And he arose, and went to Mesopotamia, to the city of Nahor.

²⁰ And Hamor and Shechem his son came to the gate of their city, and conversed with the men of their city, saying,

If thou will redeem it, redeem it, but if thou will not redeem it, then tell me that I may know, for there is none to redeem it besides thee, and I am after thee. And he said, I will redeem it.

⁷ when I went forth to the gate to the city, when I prepared my seat in the street.

⁶ and a spirit of justice to him who sits in judgment, and strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate.

¹ And after entering into the boat, he passed over, and came into his own city.

³ And all went to be enrolled, each into his personal city. ⁴ And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and patriarchy of David,
