³⁴ And he took and sent portions to them from before him, but Benjamin's portion was five times so much as any of theirs. And they drank, and were merry with him.

⁸ And David said to Uriah, Go down to thy house, and wash thy feet. And Uriah departed out of the king's house, and a gift from the king followed him.

⁶ Give strong drink to him who is ready to perish, and wine to the bitter in soul.

⁷ Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart, for God has already accepted thy works.

¹⁹ A feast is made for laughter, and wine makes glad the life, and money answers all things.

¹ I have come into my garden, my sister, my bride. I have gathered my myrrh with my spice. I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey. I have drunk my wine with my milk. Eat, O friends. Drink, yea. Drink abundantly, O beloved.
