Thou shall lift up no iron upon them. 6 Thou shall build the altar of LORD thy God of unhewn stones. And thou shall offer burnt offerings on it to LORD thy God. 7 And thou shall sacrifice peace offerings, and shall eat there, and thou shall rejoice before LORD thy God. 8 And thou shall write upon the stones all the words of this law very plainly. 9 And Moses and the priests the Levites spoke to all Israel, saying, Keep silence, and hearken, O Israel. This day thou have become the people of LORD thy God. 10 Thou shall therefore obey the voice of LORD thy God, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command thee this day. 11 And Moses charged the people the same day, saying, 12 These shall stand upon mount Gerizim to bless the people, when ye have passed over the Jordan: Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Joseph, and Benjamin. 13 And these shall stand upon mount Ebal for the curse: Reuben, Gad, and Asher, and Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali. 14 And the Levites shall answer, and say to all the men of Israel with a loud voice, 15 Cursed be the man who makes a graven or molten image, an abomination to LORD, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and sets it up in secret. And all the people shall answer and say, Truly. 16 Cursed be he who dishonors his father or his mother. And all the people shall say, Truly. 17 Cursed be he who removes his neighbor's landmark. And all the people shall say, Truly. 18 Cursed be he who makes the blind to wander out of the way. And all the people shall say, Truly. 19 Cursed be he who distorts the justice to the sojourner, fatherless, and widow. And all the people shall say, Truly. 20 Cursed be he who lies with his father's wife, because he has uncovered his father's skirt. And all the people shall say, Truly. 21 Cursed be he who lies with any manner of beast. And all the people shall say, Truly. 22 Cursed be he who lies with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother. Joshua 3:13

13 And it shall come to pass, when the soles of the feet of the priests who bear the ark of LORD, the Lord of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of the Jordan, that the waters of the Jordan shall be cut off, even the waters that come down from above, and they shall stand in one heap.

Joshua 4:8

8 And the sons of Israel did so as Joshua commanded, and took up twelve stones out of the midst of the Jordan, as LORD spoke to Joshua, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Israel, and they carried them over with them to the place where they lodged, and laid them down there.
