⁷ And they shall no more sacrifice their sacrifices to the he-goats, after which they play the harlot. This shall be a statute forever to them throughout their generations.

³⁰ take heed to thyself that thou be not ensnared to follow them, after they are destroyed from before thee, and that thou not inquire after their gods, saying, How do these nations serve their gods? Even so I will do likewise. ³¹ Thou shall not do so to LORD thy God. For every abomination to LORD, which he hates, they have done to their gods, for they even burn their sons and their daughters in the fire to their gods.

¹⁰ There shall not be found with thee anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, a psychic, he who practices augury, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer,

¹⁷ They sacrificed to demons, not God, to gods that they knew not, to new gods that came up of late, which your fathers did not dread.

³ But he walked in the way of the kings of Israel. Yes, and made his son to pass through the fire, according to the abominations of the nations whom LORD cast out from before the sons of Israel.

¹⁷ And they caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire, and used divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do that which was evil in the sight of LORD to provoke him to anger.

⁶ And he made his son to pass through the fire, and practiced augury, and used enchantments, and dealt with psychics, and with sorcery. He wrought much evil in the sight of LORD to provoke him to anger.

¹⁵ And he appointed priests for him for the high places, and for the he-goats, and for the calves which he had made.

²⁰ Moreover thou have taken thy sons and thy daughters, whom thou have borne to me, and thou have sacrificed these to them to be devoured. Were thy whoredoms a small matter, ²¹ that thou have slain my children, and delivered them up, in causing them to pass through the fire to them?

²⁶ And I polluted them in their own gifts, in that they caused to pass through the fire all that opens the womb, that I might make them desolate, to the end that they might know that I am LORD.

³⁷ For they have committed adultery, and blood is in their hands. And with their idols they have committed adultery. And they have also caused their sons, whom they bore to me, to pass through the fire for them to be devoured.

⁴⁷ And the company shall stone them with stones, and dispatch them with their swords. They shall kill their sons and their daughters, and burn up their houses with fire.

²⁰ Rather, O man, who are thou answering back to God? No, will the thing formed say to him who formed it, Why did thou make me this way?

²⁰ Rather, that which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons and not to God, and I do not want you to become partakers of demons.
