¹¹ He says in his heart, God has forgotten. He hides his face. He will never see it.

¹³ And thou say, What does God know? Can he judge through the thick darkness? ¹⁴ Thick clouds are a covering to him, so that he does not see, and he walks on the vault of heaven.

⁶ He says in his heart, I shall not be moved. To all generations I shall not be in adversity.

⁵ They encourage themselves in an evil purpose. They converse of laying snares secretly. They say, Who will see them?

¹¹ And they say, How does God know? And is there knowledge in the Most High?

⁷ And they say, LORD will not see, nor will the God of Jacob consider.

¹¹ Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil. ¹² Then he said to me, Son of man, have thou seen what the elders of the house of Israel do in the dark, each man in his chambers of imagery? For they say, LORD does not see us. LORD has forsaken the land.

⁹ Then he said to me, The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceedingly great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of perverseness. For they say, LORD has forsaken the land, and LORD does not see.

⁶ But some of the scholars were sitting there, and deliberating in their hearts,

³⁹ But when the Pharisee who invited him saw it, he spoke within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would know who and what kind the woman is who touches him, that she is sinful.
