¹¹ The counsel of LORD stands fast forever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

¹³ But he is in one mind, and who can turn him? And what his soul desires, even that he does.

⁵ How great are thy works, O LORD! Thy thoughts are very deep.

²¹ There are many devices in a man's heart, but the counsel of LORD, that shall stand.

²⁴ LORD of hosts has sworn, saying, Surely, as I have thought, so shall it come to pass, and as I have purposed, so shall it stand,

²⁷ For LORD of hosts has purposed, and who shall annul it? And his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?

¹⁰ declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure,

⁸ For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways, says LORD. ⁹ For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

¹¹ For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope in your latter end.

³⁷ Who is he that says, and it comes to pass, when the Lord does not command it?

¹⁰ Thus says the lord LORD: It shall come to pass in that day, that things shall come into thy mind, and thou shall devise an evil plan. ¹¹ And thou shall say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages. I will go to those who are at rest, who dwell securely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates, ¹² to take the spoil and to take the prey, to turn thy hand against the waste places that are now inhabited, and against the people who are gathered out of the nations, who have gotten cattle and goods, who dwell in the middle of the earth. ¹³ Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions of it, shall say to thee, Have thou come to take the spoil? Have thou assembled thy company to take the prey, to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take great spoil? ¹⁴ Therefore, son of man, prophesy, and say to Gog, Thus says the lord LORD: In that day when my people Israel dwell securely, shall thou not know it? ¹⁵ And thou shall come from thy place out of the outermost parts of the north, thou, and many peoples with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company and a mighty army. ¹⁶ And thou shall come up against my people Israel, as a cloud to cover the land. It shall come to pass in the latter days, that I will bring thee against my land, that the nations may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes. ¹⁷ Thus says the lord LORD: Are thou he of whom I spoke in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, who prophesied in those days for many years that I would bring thee against them? ¹⁸ And it shall come to pass in that day, when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, says the lord LORD, that my wrath shall come up into my nostrils. ¹⁹ For I have spoken in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath. Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel, ²⁰ so that the fishes of the sea, and the birds of the heavens, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men who are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence. And the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground. ²¹ And I will call for a sword against him to all my mountains, says the lord LORD. Every man's sword shall be against his brother. ²² And I will enter into judgment with him with pestilence and with blood. And I will rain upon him, and upon his hordes, and upon the many peoples who are with him, an overflowing shower, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. ²³ And I will magnify myself, and sanctify myself, and I will make myself known in the eyes of many nations. And they shall know that I am LORD.

³⁷ Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, for all his works are truth, and his ways justice. And he is able to abase those who walk in pride.

¹² But they know not the thoughts of LORD, nor do they understand his counsel, for he has gathered them as the sheaves to the threshing-floor.

²⁷ For in truth, against thy holy Boy Jesus, whom thou anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel, were gathered together, ²⁸ to do as many things as thy hand and thy purpose predetermined to happen.

¹⁸ Known to God from the age are all his works.

¹¹ in him in whom also we obtained an inheritance. Having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the deliberation of his will,
