¹⁶ For I said, Lest they rejoice over me. When my foot slips, they magnify themselves against me.

³⁵ Vengeance is for me, and recompense at the time when their foot shall slide. For the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that are to come upon them shall make haste.

³ Consider and answer me, O LORD my God. Lighten my eyes, lest I sleep the death, ⁴ lest my enemy say, I have prevailed against him, lest my adversaries rejoice when I am moved.

²⁴ Judge me, O LORD my God, according to thy righteousness, and let them not rejoice over me. ²⁵ Let them not say in their heart, Aha, so would we have it. Let them not say, We have swallowed him up. ²⁶ Let them be put to shame and confounded together who rejoice at my hurt. Let them be clothed with shame and dishonor who magnify themselves against me.
