¹¹ When thou have corrected man with rebukes for iniquity, thou make his beauty to disintegrate like a moth. Surely every man is vanity. Selah.

¹⁹ How much more those who dwell in houses of clay, whose foundation is in the dust, who are crushed before the moth!

²⁸ Though I am like a rotten thing that decays, like a garment that is moth-eaten.

³⁰ My skin is black, and falls from me. And my bones are burned with heat.

¹ O LORD, rebuke me not in thy wrath, nor chasten me in thy hot displeasure. ² For thine arrows stick fast in me, and thy hand presses me severely. ³ There is no soundness in my flesh because of thine indignation, nor is there any health in my bones because of my sin. ⁴ For my iniquities have gone over my head. As a heavy burden they are too heavy for me. ⁵ My wounds are loathsome and corrupt, because of my foolishness. ⁶ I am pained and bowed down greatly. I go mourning all the day long. ⁷ For my loins are filled with burning, and there is no soundness in my flesh. ⁸ I am faint and severely bruised. I have groaned because of the disquietness of my heart.

⁷ For we are consumed in thine anger, and in thy wrath are we troubled. ⁸ Thou have set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance. ⁹ For all our days are passed away in thy wrath. We bring our years to an end as a sigh. ¹⁰ The days of our years are threescore years and ten, or even by reason of strength fourscore years, yet their pride is but labor and sorrow, for it is soon gone, and we fly away.

¹⁰ because of thine indignation and thy wrath. For thou have taken me up, and cast me away. ¹¹ My days are like a shadow that declines, and I am withered like grass.

⁹ Behold, the lord LORD will help me. Who is he who shall condemn me? Behold, all they shall grow old as a garment; the moth shall eat them up.

¹² Therefore I am to Ephraim as a moth, and to the house of Judah as rottenness.

⁵ to deliver such a man to Satan for destruction of the flesh, so that the spirit might be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

³⁰ Because of this many are weak and sickly among you, and a considerable sleep. ³¹ But if we were discerning ourselves we would not be judged. ³² But when we are judged by the Lord, we are chastened so that we may not be condemned with the world.

⁶ For whom the Lord loves he chastens. And he whips every son whom he receives.

¹⁶ But he had a rebuke of his own lawbreaking. A mute donkey, uttering in a man's voice, restrained the madness of the prophet.

¹⁹ As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Be zealous therefore, and repent.
