²² And whatever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

¹⁷ LORD, you have heard the desire of the humble: you will prepare their heart, you will cause your ear to hear:

⁴ I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

¹⁵ The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their cry. ¹⁶ The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. ¹⁷ The righteous cry, and the LORD hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.

¹⁵ And call on me in the day of trouble: I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.

¹⁸ If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me: ¹⁹ But truly God has heard me; he has attended to the voice of my prayer.

¹⁸ The LORD is near to all them that call on him, to all that call on him in truth. ¹⁹ He will fulfill the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.

²⁹ The LORD is far from the wicked: but he hears the prayer of the righteous.

⁹ He that turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

¹⁵ And when you spread forth your hands, I will hide my eyes from you: yes, when you make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.

⁶ Seek you the LORD while he may be found, call you on him while he is near: ⁷ Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return to the LORD, and he will have mercy on him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

¹² Then shall you call on me, and you shall go and pray to me, and I will listen to you. ¹³ And you shall seek me, and find me, when you shall search for me with all your heart.

³ Call to me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you know not.

⁷ Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you: ⁸ For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened.

²⁴ Therefore whoever hears these sayings of mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man, which built his house on a rock: ²⁵ And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it fell not: for it was founded on a rock.

⁵ While he yet spoke, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear you him.

²² And all things, whatever you shall ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive.

²⁴ Therefore I say to you, What things soever you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them.

⁹ And I say to you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you. ¹⁰ For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened. ¹¹ If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? ¹² Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? ¹³ If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

²⁹ Jesus answered and said to them, This is the work of God, that you believe on him whom he has sent.

²⁹ And he that sent me is with me: the Father has not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.

³¹ Now we know that God hears not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and does his will, him he hears.

¹³ And whatever you shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

⁷ If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done to you.

¹⁰ If you keep my commandments, you shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

²³ And in that day you shall ask me nothing. Truly, truly, I say to you, Whatever you shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. ²⁴ Till now have you asked nothing in my name: ask, and you shall receive, that your joy may be full.

³⁰ And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commands all men every where to repent:

²¹ Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹⁸ But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odor of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, well pleasing to God.

¹⁰ That you might walk worthy of the Lord to all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

²¹ Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

⁵ If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that gives to all men liberally, and upbraides not; and it shall be given him.

¹⁶ Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that you may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

²³ And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. ²⁴ And he that keeps his commandments dwells in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he stays in us, by the Spirit which he has given us.

¹⁴ And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he hears us:
