⁹ Remember what the LORD your God did to Miriam by the way, after that you were come forth out of Egypt.

² Command the children of Israel, that they put out of the camp every leper, and every one that has an issue, and whoever is defiled by the dead:

¹⁰ And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked on Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous. ¹¹ And Aaron said to Moses, Alas, my lord, I beseech you, lay not the sin on us, wherein we have done foolishly, and wherein we have sinned. ¹² Let her not be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he comes out of his mother's womb. ¹³ And Moses cried to the LORD, saying, Heal her now, O God, I beseech you. ¹⁴ And the LORD said to Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her be received in again. ¹⁵ And Miriam was shut out from the camp seven days: and the people journeyed not till Miriam was brought in again.

³ And there were four leprous men at the entering in of the gate: and they said one to another, Why sit we here until we die?

²⁰ And Azariah the chief priest, and all the priests, looked on him, and, behold, he was leprous in his forehead, and they thrust him out from there; yes, himself hurried also to go out, because the LORD had smitten him. ²¹ And Uzziah the king was a leper to the day of his death, and dwelled in a several house, being a leper; for he was cut off from the house of the LORD: and Jotham his son was over the king's house, judging the people of the land.
