⁶ And there were certain men, who were defiled by the dead body of a man, that they could not keep the passover on that day: and they came before Moses and before Aaron on that day:

¹⁵ And Moses said to his father in law, Because the people come to me to inquire of God:

¹⁹ Listen now to my voice, I will give you counsel, and God shall be with you: Be you for the people to God-ward, that you may bring the causes to God:

²⁶ And they judged the people at all seasons: the hard causes they brought to Moses, but every small matter they judged themselves.

¹¹ Neither shall he go in to any dead body, nor defile himself for his father, or for his mother;

¹¹ And the Israelitish woman's son blasphemed the name of the Lord, and cursed. And they brought him to Moses: (and his mother's name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan:)

² Command the children of Israel, that they put out of the camp every leper, and every one that has an issue, and whoever is defiled by the dead:

⁶ All the days that he separates himself to the LORD he shall come at no dead body. ⁷ He shall not make himself unclean for his father, or for his mother, for his brother, or for his sister, when they die: because the consecration of his God is on his head.

³³ And they that found him gathering sticks brought him to Moses and Aaron, and to all the congregation.

¹¹ He that touches the dead body of any man shall be unclean seven days.

¹⁶ And whoever touches one that is slain with a sword in the open fields, or a dead body, or a bone of a man, or a grave, shall be unclean seven days.

¹⁸ And a clean person shall take hyssop, and dip it in the water, and sprinkle it on the tent, and on all the vessels, and on the persons that were there, and on him that touched a bone, or one slain, or one dead, or a grave:

² And they stood before Moses, and before Eleazar the priest, and before the princes and all the congregation, by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying,

⁵ And Moses brought their cause before the LORD.

²⁸ Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas to the hall of judgment: and it was early; and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they might eat the passover.
