¹ Blessed is the man that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful. ² But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law does he meditate day and night. ³ And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper. ⁴ The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind drives away. ⁵ Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. ⁶ For the LORD knows the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

²⁴ And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

⁶ O my soul, come not you into their secret; to their assembly, my honor, be not you united: for in their anger they slew a man, and in their self-will they dig down a wall.

²⁷ And if you will not for all this listen to me, but walk contrary to me; ²⁸ Then I will walk contrary to you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins.

² And all these blessings shall come on you, and overtake you, if you shall listen to the voice of the LORD your God. ³ Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the field. ⁴ Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, and the fruit of your ground, and the fruit of your cattle, the increase of your cows, and the flocks of your sheep. ⁵ Blessed shall be your basket and your store. ⁶ Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out. ⁷ The LORD shall cause your enemies that rise up against you to be smitten before your face: they shall come out against you one way, and flee before you seven ways. ⁸ The LORD shall command the blessing on you in your storehouses, and in all that you set your hand to; and he shall bless you in the land which the LORD your God gives you. ⁹ The LORD shall establish you an holy people to himself, as he has sworn to you, if you shall keep the commandments of the LORD your God, and walk in his ways. ¹⁰ And all people of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of you. ¹¹ And the LORD shall make you plenteous in goods, in the fruit of your body, and in the fruit of your cattle, and in the fruit of your ground, in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers to give you. ¹² The LORD shall open to you his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain to your land in his season, and to bless all the work of your hand: and you shall lend to many nations, and you shall not borrow. ¹³ And the LORD shall make you the head, and not the tail; and you shall be above only, and you shall not be beneath; if that you listen to the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day, to observe and to do them: ¹⁴ And you shall not go aside from any of the words which I command you this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them. ¹⁵ But it shall come to pass, if you will not listen to the voice of the LORD your God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command you this day; that all these curses shall come on you, and overtake you: ¹⁶ Cursed shall you be in the city, and cursed shall you be in the field. ¹⁷ Cursed shall be your basket and your store. ¹⁸ Cursed shall be the fruit of your body, and the fruit of your land, the increase of your cows, and the flocks of your sheep. ¹⁹ Cursed shall you be when you come in, and cursed shall you be when you go out. ²⁰ The LORD shall send on you cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that you set your hand to for to do, until you be destroyed, and until you perish quickly; because of the wickedness of your doings, whereby you have forsaken me. ²¹ The LORD shall make the pestilence stick to you, until he have consumed you from off the land, where you go to possess it. ²² The LORD shall smite you with a consumption, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue you until you perish. ²³ And your heaven that is over your head shall be brass, and the earth that is under you shall be iron. ²⁴ The LORD shall make the rain of your land powder and dust: from heaven shall it come down on you, until you be destroyed. ²⁵ The LORD shall cause you to be smitten before your enemies: you shall go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them: and shall be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth. ²⁶ And your carcass shall be meat to all fowls of the air, and to the beasts of the earth, and no man shall fray them away. ²⁷ The LORD will smite you with the botch of Egypt, and with the tumors, and with the scab, and with the itch, whereof you can not be healed. ²⁸ The LORD shall smite you with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart: ²⁹ And you shall grope at noonday, as the blind gropes in darkness, and you shall not prosper in your ways: and you shall be only oppressed and spoiled ever more, and no man shall save you. ³⁰ You shall betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: you shall build an house, and you shall not dwell therein: you shall plant a vineyard, and shall not gather the grapes thereof. ³¹ Your ox shall be slain before your eyes, and you shall not eat thereof: your ass shall be violently taken away from before your face, and shall not be restored to you: your sheep shall be given to your enemies, and you shall have none to rescue them. ³² Your sons and your daughters shall be given to another people, and your eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day long; and there shall be no might in your hand. ³³ The fruit of your land, and all your labors, shall a nation which you know not eat up; and you shall be only oppressed and crushed always: ³⁴ So that you shall be mad for the sight of your eyes which you shall see. ³⁵ The LORD shall smite you in the knees, and in the legs, with a sore botch that cannot be healed, from the sole of your foot to the top of your head. ³⁶ The LORD shall bring you, and your king which you shall set over you, to a nation which neither you nor your fathers have known; and there shall you serve other gods, wood and stone. ³⁷ And you shall become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all nations where the LORD shall lead you. ³⁸ You shall carry much seed out into the field, and shall gather but little in; for the locust shall consume it. ³⁹ You shall plant vineyards, and dress them, but shall neither drink of the wine, nor gather the grapes; for the worms shall eat them. ⁴⁰ You shall have olive trees throughout all your coasts, but you shall not anoint yourself with the oil; for your olive shall cast his fruit. ⁴¹ You shall beget sons and daughters, but you shall not enjoy them; for they shall go into captivity. ⁴² All your trees and fruit of your land shall the locust consume. ⁴³ The stranger that is within you shall get up above you very high; and you shall come down very low. ⁴⁴ He shall lend to you, and you shall not lend to him: he shall be the head, and you shall be the tail. ⁴⁵ Moreover all these curses shall come on you, and shall pursue you, and overtake you, till you be destroyed; because you listened not to the voice of the LORD your God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded you: ⁴⁶ And they shall be on you for a sign and for a wonder, and on your seed for ever. ⁴⁷ Because you served not the LORD your God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things; ⁴⁸ Therefore shall you serve your enemies which the LORD shall send against you, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron on your neck, until he have destroyed you. ⁴⁹ The LORD shall bring a nation against you from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flies; a nation whose tongue you shall not understand; ⁵⁰ A nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor show favor to the young: ⁵¹ And he shall eat the fruit of your cattle, and the fruit of your land, until you be destroyed: which also shall not leave you either corn, wine, or oil, or the increase of your cows, or flocks of your sheep, until he have destroyed you. ⁵² And he shall besiege you in all your gates, until your high and fenced walls come down, wherein you trusted, throughout all your land: and he shall besiege you in all your gates throughout all your land, which the LORD your God has given you. ⁵³ And you shall eat the fruit of your own body, the flesh of your sons and of your daughters, which the LORD your God has given you, in the siege, and in the narrow place, with which your enemies shall distress you: ⁵⁴ So that the man that is tender among you, and very delicate, his eye shall be evil toward his brother, and toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the remnant of his children which he shall leave: ⁵⁵ So that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his children whom he shall eat: because he has nothing left him in the siege, and in the narrow place, with which your enemies shall distress you in all your gates. ⁵⁶ The tender and delicate woman among you, which would not adventure to set the sole of her foot on the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil toward the husband of her bosom, and toward her son, and toward her daughter, ⁵⁷ And toward her young one that comes out from between her feet, and toward her children which she shall bear: for she shall eat them for want of all things secretly in the siege and narrow place, with which your enemy shall distress you in your gates. ⁵⁸ If you will not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that you may fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD; ⁵⁹ Then the LORD will make your plagues wonderful, and the plagues of your seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance. ⁶⁰ Moreover he will bring on you all the diseases of Egypt, which you were afraid of; and they shall stick to you. ⁶¹ Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the LORD bring on you, until you be destroyed. ⁶² And you shall be left few in number, whereas you were as the stars of heaven for multitude; because you would not obey the voice of the LORD your God. ⁶³ And it shall come to pass, that as the LORD rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so the LORD will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to nothing; and you shall be plucked from off the land where you go to possess it. ⁶⁴ And the LORD shall scatter you among all people, from the one end of the earth even to the other; and there you shall serve other gods, which neither you nor your fathers have known, even wood and stone. ⁶⁵ And among these nations shall you find no ease, neither shall the sole of your foot have rest: but the LORD shall give you there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind: ⁶⁶ And your life shall hang in doubt before you; and you shall fear day and night, and shall have none assurance of your life: ⁶⁷ In the morning you shall say, Would God it were even! and at even you shall say, Would God it were morning! for the fear of your heart with which you shall fear, and for the sight of your eyes which you shall see. ⁶⁸ And the LORD shall bring you into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I spoke to you, You shall see it no more again: and there you shall be sold to your enemies for slaves and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you.

²⁹ Happy are you, O Israel: who is like to you, O people saved by the LORD, the shield of your help, and who is the sword of your excellency! and your enemies shall be found liars to you; and you shall tread on their high places.

³¹ And it came to pass, as if it had been a light thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he took to wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Zidonians, and went and served Baal, and worshipped him.

³ He also walked in the ways of the house of Ahab: for his mother was his counselor to do wickedly.

³ Is it good to you that you should oppress, that you should despise the work of your hands, and shine on the counsel of the wicked?

¹⁶ See, their good is not in their hand: the counsel of the wicked is far from me.

⁵ If I have walked with vanity, or if my foot has hurried to deceit;

⁶ For the LORD knows the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

¹² Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

⁴ I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers. ⁵ I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked.

¹² My foot stands in an even place: in the congregations will I bless the LORD.

¹ Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. ² Blessed is the man to whom the LORD imputes not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

⁸ O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusts in him.

⁴ He devises mischief on his bed; he sets himself in a way that is not good; he abhors not evil.

² Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity:

¹² So I gave them up to their own hearts' lust: and they walked in their own counsels.

¹² O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusts in you.

³ Blessed are they that keep judgment, and he that does righteousness at all times.

¹ Praise you the LORD. Blessed is the man that fears the LORD, that delights greatly in his commandments.

¹² The LORD has been mindful of us: he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron. ¹³ He will bless them that fear the LORD, both small and great. ¹⁴ The LORD shall increase you more and more, you and your children. ¹⁵ You are blessed of the LORD which made heaven and earth.

¹ Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD. ² Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.

¹¹⁵ Depart from me, you evildoers: for I will keep the commandments of my God.

¹⁵ Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yes, happy is that people, whose God is the LORD.

⁵ Happy is he that has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God:

⁹ The LORD preserves the strangers; he relieves the fatherless and widow: but the way of the wicked he turns upside down.

¹⁵ My son, walk not you in the way with them; refrain your foot from their path:

²² How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?

¹² To deliver you from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaks fraudulent things;

³⁴ Surely he scorns the scorners: but he gives grace to the lowly.

¹⁴ Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men. ¹⁵ Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away.

¹⁹ The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.

¹² If you be wise, you shall be wise for yourself: but if you scorn, you alone shall bear it.

¹⁵ Good understanding gives favor: but the way of transgressors is hard.

²⁰ He that walks with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.

²⁹ Judgments are prepared for scorners, and stripes for the back of fools.

¹⁷ I sat not in the assembly of the mockers, nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of your hand: for you have filled me with indignation.

⁷ Blessed is the man that trusts in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.

¹⁸ But I said to their children in the wilderness, Walk you not in the statutes of your fathers, neither observe their judgments, nor defile yourselves with their idols:

¹³ Enter you in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: ¹⁴ Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads to life, and few there be that find it.

¹⁷ And Jesus answered and said to him, Blessed are you, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood has not revealed it to you, but my Father which is in heaven.

²⁸ But he said, Yes rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

¹² Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.

⁸ I delight to do your will, O my God: yes, your law is within my heart.

¹ O lord God of my salvation, I have cried day and night before you:

³⁴ My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD.

¹¹ Your word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against you.

¹⁵ I will meditate in your precepts, and have respect to your ways. ¹⁶ I will delight myself in your statutes: I will not forget your word.

³⁵ Make me to go in the path of your commandments; for therein do I delight.

⁴⁷ And I will delight myself in your commandments, which I have loved. ⁴⁸ My hands also will I lift up to your commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate in your statutes.

⁷² The law of your mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver.

⁹² Unless your law had been my delights, I should then have perished in my affliction.

⁹⁷ O how I love your law! it is my meditation all the day. ⁹⁸ You through your commandments have made me wiser than my enemies: for they are ever with me. ⁹⁹ I have more understanding than all my teachers: for your testimonies are my meditation.

¹⁶ Your words were found, and I did eat them; and your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart: for I am called by your name, O LORD God of hosts.

³⁷ And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day.

⁷ And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night to him, though he bear long with them?

²² For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:

⁹ For you remember, brothers, our labor and travail: for laboring night and day, because we would not be chargeable to any of you, we preached to you the gospel of God.

¹⁵ Meditate on these things; give yourself wholly to them; that your profiting may appear to all.

³ I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of you in my prayers night and day;

³ For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

³ And his master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand.

²³ The keeper of the prison looked not to any thing that was under his hand; because the LORD was with him, and that which he did, the LORD made it to prosper.

⁷ Only be you strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded you: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. ⁸ This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth; but you shall meditate therein day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success.

¹¹ Now, my son, the LORD be with you; and prosper you, and build the house of the LORD your God, as he has said of you.

²¹ And in every work that he began in the service of the house of God, and in the law, and in the commandments, to seek his God, he did it with all his heart, and prospered.

²³ And many brought gifts to the LORD to Jerusalem, and presents to Hezekiah king of Judah: so that he was magnified in the sight of all nations from thereafter.

⁹ Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant.

¹⁴ They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;

² For you shall eat the labor of your hands: happy shall you be, and it shall be well with you.

⁸ Neither do they which go by say, The blessing of the LORD be on you: we bless you in the name of the LORD.

¹⁰ Say you to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.

¹¹ When the boughs thereof are withered, they shall be broken off: the women come, and set them on fire: for it is a people of no understanding: therefore he that made them will not have mercy on them, and he that formed them will show them no favor.

⁴ And they shall spring up as among the grass, as willows by the water courses.

⁸ For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreads out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat comes, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

⁸ It was planted in a good soil by great waters, that it might bring forth branches, and that it might bear fruit, that it might be a goodly vine.

¹⁰ Your mother is like a vine in your blood, planted by the waters: she was fruitful and full of branches by reason of many waters.

¹² And by the river on the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine.

⁶ And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.

¹⁹ And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said to it, Let no fruit grow on you henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away.

³⁴ And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the farmers, that they might receive the fruits of it.

⁴¹ They say to him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out his vineyard to other farmers, which shall render him the fruits in their seasons.

⁶ If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

¹² These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit wither, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;

² In the middle of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bore twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

¹⁸ They are as stubble before the wind, and as chaff that the storm carries away.

⁵ Let them be as chaff before the wind: and let the angel of the LORD chase them.

¹³ The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: but God shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind.

⁵ Moreover the multitude of your strangers shall be like small dust, and the multitude of the terrible ones shall be as chaff that passes away: yes, it shall be at an instant suddenly.

³ Therefore they shall be as the morning cloud and as the early dew that passes away, as the chaff that is driven with the whirlwind out of the floor, and as the smoke out of the chimney.

¹² Whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.

⁵ The foolish shall not stand in your sight: you hate all workers of iniquity.

⁷ But the LORD shall endure for ever: he has prepared his throne for judgment. ⁸ And he shall judge the world in righteousness, he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness.

¹⁶ The LORD is known by the judgment which he executes: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah.

³ Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?

⁹ Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloody men:

¹⁸ Then shall you return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serves God and him that serves him not.

⁴⁹ So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,

³² And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats:

⁴¹ Then shall he say also to them on the left hand, Depart from me, you cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

⁴⁶ And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

³⁶ Watch you therefore, and pray always, that you may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

¹⁵ To execute judgment on all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.

¹⁰ But he knows the way that I take: when he has tried me, I shall come forth as gold.

⁶ O you enemy, destructions are come to a perpetual end: and you have destroyed cities; their memorial is perished with them.

¹⁸ The LORD knows the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever. ¹⁹ They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied. ²⁰ But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away. ²¹ The wicked borrows, and pays not again: but the righteous shows mercy, and gives. ²² For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off. ²³ The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delights in his way. ²⁴ Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholds him with his hand.

¹⁰ The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.

¹ O lord, you have searched me, and known me. ² You know my sitting down and my rising up, you understand my thought afar off.

³ When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then you knew my path. In the way wherein I walked have they privately laid a snare for me.

¹² There is a way which seems right to a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

⁹ The way of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but he loves him that follows after righteousness.

⁷ The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knows them that trust in him.

¹³ Enter you in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

¹⁴ I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

²⁷ My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

¹⁹ Nevertheless the foundation of God stands sure, having this seal, The Lord knows them that are his. And, Let every one that names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

¹² But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;
