⁸ Fire, and hail; snow, and vapors; stormy wind fulfilling his word:

²⁴ Then the LORD rained on Sodom and on Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven;

²³ And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven: and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along on the ground; and the LORD rained hail on the land of Egypt. ²⁴ So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation. ²⁵ And the hail smote throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and beast; and the hail smote every herb of the field, and broke every tree of the field.

¹³ And Moses stretched forth his rod over the land of Egypt, and the LORD brought an east wind on the land all that day, and all that night; and when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts.

¹⁹ And the LORD turned a mighty strong west wind, which took away the locusts, and cast them into the Red sea; there remained not one locust in all the coasts of Egypt.

²¹ And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.

² And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD.

³⁵ And there came out a fire from the LORD, and consumed the two hundred and fifty men that offered incense.

¹¹ And it came to pass, as they fled from before Israel, and were in the going down to Bethhoron, that the LORD cast down great stones from heaven on them to Azekah, and they died: they were more which died with hailstones than they whom the children of Israel slew with the sword.

² Hear attentively the noise of his voice, and the sound that goes out of his mouth. ³ He directs it under the whole heaven, and his lightning to the ends of the earth. ⁴ After it a voice roars: he thunders with the voice of his excellency; and he will not stay them when his voice is heard. ⁵ God thunders marvelously with his voice; great things does he, which we cannot comprehend. ⁶ For he said to the snow, Be you on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength.

²² Have you entered into the treasures of the snow? or have you seen the treasures of the hail, ²³ Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war? ²⁴ By what way is the light parted, which scatters the east wind on the earth? ²⁵ Who has divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters, or a way for the lightning of thunder; ²⁶ To cause it to rain on the earth, where no man is; on the wilderness, wherein there is no man; ²⁷ To satisfy the desolate and waste ground; and to cause the bud of the tender herb to spring forth? ²⁸ Has the rain a father? or who has begotten the drops of dew? ²⁹ Out of whose womb came the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who has gendered it? ³⁰ The waters are hid as with a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen. ³¹ Can you bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion? ³² Can you bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or can you guide Arcturus with his sons? ³³ Know you the ordinances of heaven? can you set the dominion thereof in the earth? ³⁴ Can you lift up your voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover you? ³⁵ Can you send lightning, that they may go and say to you, Here we are? ³⁶ Who has put wisdom in the inward parts? or who has given understanding to the heart? ³⁷ Who can number the clouds in wisdom? or who can stay the bottles of heaven,

¹² At the brightness that was before him his thick clouds passed, hail stones and coals of fire.

²⁰ Bless the LORD, you his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening to the voice of his word.

²⁵ For he commands, and raises the stormy wind, which lifts up the waves thereof. ²⁶ They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble. ²⁷ They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wit's end. ²⁸ Then they cry to the LORD in their trouble, and he brings them out of their distresses. ²⁹ He makes the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.

¹⁵ He sends forth his commandment on earth: his word runs very swiftly. ¹⁶ He gives snow like wool: he scatters the hoarfrost like ashes. ¹⁷ He casts forth his ice like morsels: who can stand before his cold? ¹⁸ He sends out his word, and melts them: he causes his wind to blow, and the waters flow.

¹⁶ For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.

³⁰ And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.

¹³ For, see, he that forms the mountains, and creates the wind, and declares to man what is his thought, that makes the morning darkness, and treads on the high places of the earth, The LORD, The God of hosts, is his name.

⁴ Thus has the Lord GOD showed to me: and, behold, the Lord GOD called to contend by fire, and it devoured the great deep, and did eat up a part.

⁴ But the LORD sent out a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty tempest in the sea, so that the ship was like to be broken.

²⁴ And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, so that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep. ²⁵ And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish. ²⁶ And he said to them, Why are you fearful, O you of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. ²⁷ But the men marveled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!

⁸ And the fourth angel poured out his vial on the sun; and power was given to him to scorch men with fire. ⁹ And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which has power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.

²¹ And there fell on men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.
