⁴⁰ Him God raised up the third day, and gave him to be made manifest,

¹ Now late on the sabbath day, as it began to dawn toward the first [day] of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. ² And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled away the stone, and sat upon it.

²⁴ whom God raised up, having loosed the pangs of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.

³⁰ But God raised him from the dead: ³¹ and he was seen for many days of them that came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are now his witnesses unto the people.

³¹ inasmuch as he hath appointed a day in which he will judge the world in righteousness by the man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

⁴ who was declared [to be] the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead; [even] Jesus Christ our Lord,

²⁴ but for our sake also, unto whom it shall be reckoned, who believe on him that raised Jesus our Lord from the dead, ²⁵ who was delivered up for our trespasses, and was raised for our justification.

⁴ We were buried therefore with him through baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life. ⁵ For if we have become united with [him] in the likeness of his death, we shall be also [in the likeness] of his resurrection; ⁶ knowing this, that our old man was crucified with [him], that the body of sin might be done away, that so we should no longer be in bondage to sin; ⁷ for he that hath died is justified from sin. ⁸ But if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him; ⁹ knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death no more hath dominion over him. ¹⁰ For the death that he died, he died unto sin once: but the life that he liveth, he liveth unto God. ¹¹ Even so reckon ye also yourselves to be dead unto sin, but alive unto God in Christ Jesus.

¹¹ But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwelleth in you, he that raised up Christ Jesus from the dead shall give life also to your mortal bodies through his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

⁹ For to this end Christ died and lived [again], that he might be Lord of both the dead and the living.

³ For I delivered unto you first of all that which also I received: that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; ⁴ and that he was buried; and that he hath been raised on the third day according to the scriptures;

¹² Now if Christ is preached that he hath been raised from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? ¹³ But if there is no resurrection of the dead, neither hath Christ been raised: ¹⁴ and if Christ hath not been raised, then is our preaching vain, your faith also is vain. ¹⁵ Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we witnessed of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead are not raised. ¹⁶ For if the dead are not raised, neither hath Christ been raised: ¹⁷ and if Christ hath not been raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. ¹⁸ Then they also that are fallen asleep in Christ have perished. ¹⁹ If we have only hoped in Christ in this life, we are of all men most pitiable.
²⁰ But now hath Christ been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of them that are asleep.

¹⁴ knowing that he that raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also with Jesus, and shall present us with you.

²⁰ Now the God of peace, who brought again from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep with the blood of an eternal covenant, [even] our Lord Jesus,

²¹ who through him are believers in God, that raised him from the dead, and gave him glory; so that your faith and hope might be in God.
