⁶ Hear, for I will speak excellent things;
And the opening of my lips shall be right things.

¹ Howbeit, Job, I pray thee, hear my speech,
And hearken to all my words. ² Behold now, I have opened my mouth;
My tongue hath spoken in my mouth. ³ My words [shall utter] the uprightness of my heart;
And that which my lips know they shall speak sincerely.

⁷ The law of Jehovah is perfect, restoring the soul:
The testimony of Jehovah is sure, making wise the simple. ⁸ The precepts of Jehovah are right, rejoicing the heart:
The commandment of Jehovah is pure, enlightening the eyes. ⁹ The fear of Jehovah is clean, enduring for ever:
The ordinances of Jehovah are true, [and] righteous altogether. ¹⁰ More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold;
Sweeter also than honey and the droppings of the honeycomb. ¹¹ Moreover by them is thy servant warned:
In keeping them there is great reward.

³ My mouth shall speak wisdom;
And the meditation of my heart shall be of understanding.

⁶ For Jehovah giveth wisdom;
Out of his mouth [cometh] knowledge and understanding: ⁷ He layeth up sound wisdom for the upright;
[He is] a shield to them that walk in integrity;

² For I give you good doctrine;
Forsake ye not my law.

²⁰ My son, attend to my words;
Incline thine ear unto my sayings. ²¹ Let them not depart from thine eyes;
Keep them in the midst of thy heart. ²² For they are life unto those that find them,
And health to all their flesh.

²⁰ Have not I written unto thee excellent things
Of counsels and knowledge, ²¹ To make thee know the certainty of the words of truth,
That thou mayest carry back words of truth to them that send thee?

¹⁶ Yea, my heart will rejoice,
When thy lips speak right things.

²⁸ And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these words, the multitudes were astonished at his teaching: ²⁹ for he taught them as [one] having authority, and not as their scribes.

³⁵ that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophet, saying,
I will open my mouth in parables;
I will utter things hidden from the foundation of the world.

⁶ We speak wisdom, however, among them that are fullgrown: yet a wisdom not of this world, nor of the rulers of this world, who are coming to nought: ⁷ but we speak God's wisdom in a mystery, [even] the [wisdom] that hath been hidden, which God foreordained before the worlds unto our glory:

²⁶ [even] the mystery which hath been hid for ages and generations: but now hath it been manifested to his saints,
