1 Peter 3 Cross References - Anderson

1 Likewise, you wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they may, without the word, be won by the conduct of their wives, 2 by observing your blameless and reverential conduct. 3 Let not your adorning be that which is outward, which consists in plaiting the hair, and wearing gold, and putting on apparel: 4 but let it be the hidden man of the heart, adorned with the incorruptible ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which, in the sight of God, is of great price. 5 For, in former times, the holy women also, who trusted in God, thus adorned themselves, being in subjection to their own husbands, 6 as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: and you are her children, if you do good, and fear no dismay. 7 Likewise, you husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, bestowing honor on the wife as the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, in order that your prayers may not be hindered. 8 Finally, be all of the same mind, be sympathizing, lovers of the brethren, kind-hearted, humble-minded; 9 not repaying evil for evil, nor reviling for reviling, but, on the other hand, blessing, since you know that for this end you were called, that you might inherit blessing. 10 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking guile: 11 let him turn from evil and do good: let him seek peace, and pursue it. 12 For the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open to their cry: but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. 13 And who is he that will harm you, if you be followers of that which is good? 14 But yet, if you even suffer for righteousness, happy are you. Yet fear not their terror, nor be troubled: 15 but reverence the Lord God in your hearts, and be always ready to answer every one that asks of you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; 16 having a good conscience, that, inasmuch as they speak against you as evil-doers, they may be ashamed who traduce your good con duct in Christ. 17 For it is better, if such be the will of God, that you suffer for doing good, than for doing evil. 18 For Christ also once suffered for sins, the Just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, having been put to death in flesh, but made alive in spirit; 19 in which- also he went and preached to the spirits in prison, 20 who formerly were disobedient, when the long-suffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while an ark was preparing, in which few, that is, eight souls, were brought in safety through the water; 21 the likeness of which, even immersion, (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the seeking of a good conscience toward God,) does now also save us, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, 22 who has gone into heaven, and is at the right hand of God, angels and authorities and powers having become subject to him.

10 Now, I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no schisms among you, but that you be perfectly united in the same mind, and in the same judgment.

1 Corinthians 4:6

6 And these things, brethren, I have, in figure, applied to my self and Apollos, for your sakes, that you may learn in us not to think more of teachers than what has been written; and that no one of you be vain of one to the injury of another.

1 Corinthians 4:12-13

12 and labor, working with our own hands. When reviled, we bless; when persecuted, we endure; 13 when defamed, we entreat; we have become like the outcasts of the world, the offscouring of all things to this day.

1 Corinthians 7:3

3 Let the husband render to the wife that which is due, and likewise, also, the wife to the husband.

1 Corinthians 7:16

16 For how do you know, wife, but that you may save your husband? Or how do you know, husband, but that you may save your wife?

1 Corinthians 9:19-22

19 For, though I am free from all men, yet have I made my self a servant to all, that I may gain the more. 20 And to the Jews, I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews: to those who are under law, as under law, (not being myself under law,) that I might gain those who are under law; 21 to those who are without law, as without law, (not being myself without law to God, but under law to Christ,) that I might gain those who are without law: 22 to the weak I became like one who was weak, that I might gain the weak: I have become all things to all men, that I may, by all means, save some.

1 Corinthians 11:3

3 But I wish you to know, that the head of every man is the Christ, and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

1 Corinthians 12:13

13 For by one Spirit we all were immersed into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bond or free; and we all have been made to drink of one Spirit.

1 Corinthians 12:22-24

22 But much more are those members of the body necessary, which seem to be more feeble. 23 And those members of the body, which, we think, are less honorable, around these we place the more abundant honor; and our uncomely members have the more abundant comeliness: 24 for our comely members have no need. But God has so arranged the body, giving more abundant honor to that part which is deficient,

1 Corinthians 12:26

26 and if one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.

1 Corinthians 14:1

1 Cultivate love, and earnestly desire spiritual gifts, but rather that you may prophesy.

1 Corinthians 14:34

34 Let your women keep silence in the assemblies; for they ire not permitted to speak; but they must be in subjection, as also says the law.

1 Corinthians 15:24

24 Then comes the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down every principality and authority and power:

2 Corinthians 1:12

12 For the ground of our rejoicing is this: the testimony of our conscience that we have lived in the world more abundantly, indeed, for you in sincerity and godly purity, not in carnal wisdom, but in the grace of God.

2 Corinthians 1:24

24 not that we are lords over your faith, but fellow- workers for your joy: for by faith you stand.

2 Corinthians 2:15-16

15 For, through God, we are a sweet odor of Christ, among the saved, and among the lost: 16 to the one, we are the odor of death ending in death; to the other, the odor of life ending in life: and who is sufficient for these things?

2 Corinthians 4:2

2 but we have renounced the secret works of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor adulterating the word of God; but, by the manifestation of the truth, commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

2 Corinthians 4:16

16 For this reason we faint not: but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day. by day.

2 Corinthians 5:21

21 for he has made him, who knew no sin, a sin-offering for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in him.

2 Corinthians 7:1

1 Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every pollution of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

2 Corinthians 10:1

1 Now I, the same Paul, who, when present among you, am timid, but when absent, am bold toward you, entreat you, by the mildness and gentleness of Christ;

2 Corinthians 12:10

10 For this reason, I take pleasure in infirmities, in outrages, in necessities, in persecutions, in straits, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong.

2 Corinthians 13:4

4 for though he was crucified in weakness, yet he lives by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God toward you.

Galatians 1:4

4 who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father,

Galatians 3:13

13 Christ has bought us off from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us: (for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangs on a tree:)

Galatians 3:27

27 for as many of you as have been immersed into Christ, have put on Christ.

Galatians 4:22-26

22 For it is written, that Abraham had two sons; one by a bondmaid, and one by a free woman. 23 But the one by the bondmaid was born according to the flesh; the other, by the free woman, was by promise. 24 These things are allegorized: for these women are the two covenants; the one from the Mount Sinai that brings forth for bondage, which is Hagar. 25 For Hagar represents Mount Sinai in Arabia, and corresponds to the present Jerusalem, for she is in bondage with her children. 26 But Jerusalem which is above is free; and she is the mother of us all.

Galatians 5:22

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 meekness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, but especially to those who are the household of the faith.

20 which he made active in the Christ when he raised him from the dead, and caused him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly places, 21 high above every principality and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come;

Ephesians 2:16-18

16 and that he might reconcile both, in one body, to God, through the cross, having by it put to death the cause of enmity; 17 and having come, he preached peace to you who were far off, and to those who were near: 18 for, through him, we both have access in one Spirit to the Father.

Ephesians 3:6

6 that the Gentiles should be fellow-heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in the Christ, through the gospel,

Ephesians 4:2

2 with all lowliness and meekness, with long-suffering, bearing with one another in love,

Ephesians 4:22-24

22 that, as to your former life, you put off the old man, which is corrupt, according to its deceitful desires, 23 and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and put on the new man, which, according to the will of God, is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Ephesians 4:30

30 and grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, with which you have been sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness and anger and wrath and clamor and impious speaking be put away from you, with all malice: 32 and be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving one another, as God in Christ has forgiven you.

Ephesians 5:1

1 Be you, therefore, imitators of God, as beloved children;

Ephesians 5:22-24

22 Wives, be subject to your own husbands as to the Lord: 23 for the husband is the head of the wife, as the Christ also is the head of the church; and he is the savior of the body. 24 But as the church is subject to the Christ, so, also, let the wives be subject to their own husbands in every thing. 25 Husbands, love your wives, as the Christ also loved the church, and delivered himself up for it, 26 that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the bath of water through the word,

Ephesians 5:26

26 that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the bath of water through the word, 27 in order that he might present it to himself a glorious church, having neither stain, nor wrinkle, nor any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. 28 So ought men to love their own wives as their own bodies. He that loves his wife loves himself;

Ephesians 5:33

33 But yet, let each one of you so love his wife as himself; and let the wife see that she reverence her husband.

Ephesians 6:5

5 Servants, be subject to your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in the simplicity of your heart, as to the Christ;

Ephesians 6:18

18 praying with all prayer and supplication, at all times, in the Spirit; and to this end being watchful in all perseverance, and supplication for all the saints:

Philippians 1:27

27 Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of the Christ, that, whether I come and see you, or be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one soul striving together for the faith of the gospel,

Philippians 1:29

29 For to you it is given in behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but, also, to suffer for him,

20 But our citizenship is in heaven, whence also we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,

Philippians 4:8-9

8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue, or any praise, think of these things. 9 Do those things which you have learned and received, and heard and seen in me, and the God of peace will be with you.

Colossians 1:5

5 in consequence of the hope which is laid up for you in the heavens, of which you heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel,

Colossians 1:21-22

21 And you, who were formerly alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now has he reconciled 22 by means of death in his fleshly body, that he may present you holy, and without spot, and blameless in his sight; 23 if you continue in the faith, founded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard, which has been preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, have been made a minister.

Colossians 1:27

27 to whom God would make known what is the glorious riches of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory,

Colossians 2:12

12 when you were buried with him in immersion, in which you were also raised with him by your faith in the energy of God, who raised him from the dead.

Colossians 3:1

1 If, then, you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where the Christ sits at the right hand of God;

Colossians 3:3

3 for you are dead, and your life is hid with the Christ in God.

Colossians 3:9-10

9 Lie not one to another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his deeds, 10 and have put on the new man, which is renewed for knowledge, ac cording to the image of him that created him;

Colossians 3:12

12 Put on, therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, a merciful disposition, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, long-suffering:

Colossians 3:15

15 And let the peace of God, to which you are called in one body, rule in your hearts, and be thankful.

Colossians 3:18

18 Wives, be subject to your husbands, as it is becoming in the Lord. 19 Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.

Colossians 3:22

22 Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh, not with eye-service, as pleasing men, but with simplicity of heart, fearing God.

Colossians 4:5

5 Walk in wisdom toward those who are without, redeeming the time. 6 Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer every one.

1 Thessalonians 4:4

4 That each one of you know how to keep his vessel in sanctification and in honor,

1 Thessalonians 4:11

11 and that you earnestly endeavor to live quietly, and that you attend to your own business, and work with your own hands, as we commanded you;

1 Thessalonians 5:15

15 See that no one render evil for evil to any, but always pursue that which is good toward one another and toward all.

2 Thessalonians 1:8

8 in flaming fire, to take vengeance on those who know not God, and who obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ;

2 Thessalonians 3:12

12 Now we command such, and exhort them by our Lord Jesus Christ, that they work with quietness, and eat their own bread.

1 Timothy 1:5

5 (Now the end of the commandment is love out of a pure heart, and out of a good conscience, and out of faith unfeigned:

1 Timothy 1:19

19 holding faith and a good conscience, which some having thrust from them, as it respects faith have made shipwreck; of whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander,

1 Timothy 2:2

2 for kings, and for all that are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and gravity.

1 Timothy 2:9-10

9 In like manner, also, I will that the women adorn themselves with decorous dress, with modesty and sobriety, not with plaited hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly raiment, 10 but with good works; since this becomes women who profess godliness.

1 Timothy 2:10

10 but with good works; since this becomes women who profess godliness. 11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. 12 I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

1 Timothy 2:15

15 but they shall be saved by the bearing of children, if they continue in faith and love and holiness with sobriety.

1 Timothy 4:12

12 Let no one despise your youth; but be an example to the believers, in word, in behavior, in love, in spirit, in faithfulness, in purity.

1 Timothy 6:12

12 Fight the good fight of the faith; lay hold on eternal life, to which you have been called, and for which you confessed the good confession before many witnesses.

1 Timothy 6:18

18 that they do good, that they be rich in good works, that they be ready to distribute, liberal,

2 Timothy 1:3

3 I thank God, whom I serve with a pure conscience, after the custom of my forefathers, that, without ceasing, I have remembrance of you in my prayers night and day,

2 Timothy 2:25

25 in meekness instructing those who oppose themselves, if, possibly, God may give them repentance in order to the acknowledgment of the truth,

2 Timothy 2:25-26

25 in meekness instructing those who oppose themselves, if, possibly, God may give them repentance in order to the acknowledgment of the truth, 26 and that they may awake to sobriety out of the snare of the devil, after having been taken captive by him according to his will.

Titus 1:2

2 in hope of eternal life, which God, who can not lie, promised be fore the times of the ages,

Titus 2:3-6

3 that the aged women likewise be, in deportment, as it becomes holy women, not slanderers, not enslaved to much wine, teachers of good things,

Titus 2:3-15

3 that the aged women likewise be, in deportment, as it becomes holy women, not slanderers, not enslaved to much wine, teachers of good things,

Titus 2:3-4

3 that the aged women likewise be, in deportment, as it becomes holy women, not slanderers, not enslaved to much wine, teachers of good things, 4 That they may teach the young women to be sober-minded, to love their husbands, to love their children,

Titus 2:4-15

4 That they may teach the young women to be sober-minded, to love their husbands, to love their children,

Titus 2:4-4

4 That they may teach the young women to be sober-minded, to love their husbands, to love their children, 5 to be discreet, chaste, fond of home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not reviled.

Titus 2:5-15

5 to be discreet, chaste, fond of home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not reviled. 6 Exhort the young men likewise to be sober-minded,

Titus 2:6-15

6 Exhort the young men likewise to be sober-minded, 7 in all things showing yourself an example of good works; in teaching, showing incorruptness, gravity, 8 sound speech that can not be condemned; that he that is opposed may be ashamed, seeing he has no evil thing to say of us.

Titus 2:8

8 sound speech that can not be condemned; that he that is opposed may be ashamed, seeing he has no evil thing to say of us. 9 Exhort servants to be subject to their own masters, and to please them well in all things, not contradicting, 10 not stealing, but showing all good faithfulness, that they may adorn the teaching of God our Savior in all things. 11 For the grace of God, which brings salvation to all men, has appeared, 12 teaching us, that denying ungodliness and worldly desires, we should live soberly and righteously and godly in the present age; 13 looking for the blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify for himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

Titus 2:14

14 who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify for himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. 15 Speak these things, and exhort and rebuke with all strictness. Let no one despise you.

Titus 3:2

2 to revile no one, not to be contentious, but gentle, showing all meekness to all men.

Titus 3:5-7

5 not by works of righteousness which we had done, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Spirit, 6 which he poured out on us richly, through Jesus Christ our Savior; 7 that, being justified by his grace, we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Titus 3:7-7

7 that, being justified by his grace, we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Hebrews 1:3

3 who, being the effulgence of his glory and the exact representation of his essence, and upholding all things by his own powerful word, when he had by himself made expiation for our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

Hebrews 1:13

13 But to which of the angels has he said at any time: Sit on my right hand, till I make thy enemies thy footstool? 14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister to those who shall inherit salvation?

Hebrews 3:6

6 but Christ, as a Son over his own house; whose house we are, if we hold the confidence and the joy of our hope firm to the end.

Hebrews 5:9

9 and, having been made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation to all that obey him,

Hebrews 6:1

1 Therefore, omitting the elementary Christian teaching, let us go on to the perfection of Christian instruction, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

Hebrews 6:14

14 saying: Most surely will I abundantly bless you, and abundantly multiply you.

Hebrews 6:18-19

18 that by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled to lay hold on the hope set before us; 19 which, hope we have as an anchor for the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters in beyond the vail, 20 whither a forerunner for us has gone, even Jesus, who is made a high priest forever after the order of Melchisedec.

Hebrews 8:1

1 Now concerning the things that have been spoken, the principal point is this: We have such a high priest, who has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;

Hebrews 9:14

14 how much more will the blood of the Christ, who, through the eternal Spirit, offered himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works, in order that you may serve the living God?

24 For the Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands, the copies of the true; but he has entered heaven itself, now to present himself in the presence of God for us.

Hebrews 9:26

26 for then, he must have suffered often since the foundation of the world. But now once in the end of the ages, he has appeared in order to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

Hebrews 9:28

28 so the Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and to those who look for him he will appear the second time, without a sin-offering, in order to salvation.

Hebrews 10:12

12 but after offering one sacrifice for sins, he himself sits continually at the right hand of God,

Hebrews 11:7

7 By faith Noah, after being warned concerning things not yet seen, moved with fear, prepared an ark for the salvation of his house; by which faith he condemned the world, and became an heir of the righteousness which is by faith. 8 By faith Abraham, when called to go out into a place that he should afterward receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.

Hebrews 11:11

11 By faith also Sarah herself received strength for the conception of seed, and brought forth a child when past the time of life, because she counted him faithful who had promised.

19 for he concluded that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; wherefore he received him even in like manner.

Hebrews 12:2

2 looking to Jesus the author and finisher of the faith, who, for the joy that was set before him, endured the cross, despising the shame, and has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of God.

1 Let brotherly love continue.

16 But forget not to do good, and to be liberal: for with such, sacrifices God is well pleased.

Hebrews 13:18

18 Pray for us: for we trust that we have a good conscience, willing to live honor ably in all things.

James 1:12

12 Blessed is the man that endures trial: for, being approved, he shall receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love him.

James 1:21

21 Wherefore, laying aside all filthiness, and every excess caused by malice, receive with meekness the ingrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

James 1:26

26 If any one among you seems to be religious, and bridles not his tongue, but deceives his own heart, this man's religion is vain.

James 2:13

13 For he shall have judgment without mercy, who has shown no mercy. Mercy glories over judgment.

James 3:1-10

1 My brethren, be not many teachers, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation. 2 For in many things we all offend. If any one offends not in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body. 3 Behold, we put bits into horses mouths that they may obey us, and we turn about their whole body. 4 Behold also the ships, which are very great, and are driven by violent winds; yet they are turned about by a very small helm, to whatever point the will of him that directs it may determine. 5 So, also, the tongue is a little member, and boasts great things. Behold, how great a forest does a little fire set in a blaze. 6 And the tongue is a fire, the world of iniquity. So is the tongue placed among our members, defiling the whole body, setting on fire the course of life, and being set on fire by hell. 7 For every kind of beasts and of birds, of creeping things and of things in the sea, is tamed, and has been tamed by man: 8 but the tongue no man can tame; it is an unruly evil; it is full of deadly poison. 9 With it we bless God, even the Father: and with it we curse men, who are made in the likeness of God. 10 Out of the same mouth come forth blessing and cursing. These things, my brethren, ought not so to be.

James 3:13-17

13 Who is wise and discreet among you? Let him show, by a good behavior, his works, with the meekness of wisdom. 14 But if you have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. 15 This wisdom comes not from above, but is earthly, animal, demoniac. 16 For where envy and strife are, there is commotion, and every evil work. 17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

James 3:17

17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

James 3:17-18

17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. 18 And those who cultivate peace, sow for themselves a harvest of righteousness in peace.

James 4:17

17 Therefore, to him that knows how to do good, and does it not, to him it is sin.

James 5:6

6 You have condemned and killed the Just One: and he does not set himself against you.

James 5:11

11 Behold, we count those happy who endure. You have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the final dealing of the Lord, that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful.

James 5:16

16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray for one another, that you may be restored to health: the fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

James 5:19-20

19 Brethren, if any among you should err from the truth, and one should turn him back, 20 let him know that he who turns back a sinner from the error of his way, will save a soul from death, and cover a multitude of sins.

1 Peter 1:3-4

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who, according to his abundant mercy, has, by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, regenerated us for a living hope

1 Peter 1:3

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who, according to his abundant mercy, has, by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, regenerated us for a living hope 4 in respect to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fades not away, reserved in heaven for us,

1 Peter 1:11-12

11 inquiring what things, and what time, the Spirit of Christ that was in them did signify, when it testified, before hand, the sufferings of Christ, and the glories that should follow them; 12 to whom it was revealed, that, not for themselves, but for us, they ministered the things that are now preached to you by those who have made known to you the gospel, through the Holy Spirit sent down from heaven; into which things angels desire to look.

1 Peter 1:15

15 but as he who has called you is holy, so be you holy in all your behavior:

1 Peter 1:17

17 And since you call on the Father, who, without respect of persons, judges according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning in fear:

1 Peter 1:22

22 Having purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit, to unfeigned love of the brethren, love one another with a pure heart fervently, 23 having been begotten again, not with corruptible seed, but with incorruptible, by the word of God, which lives and abides forever.

1 Peter 2:1

1 Therefore, laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envyings, and all evil speakings,

1 Peter 2:12

12 maintaining an honorable mode of life am one the Gentiles, that, inasmuch as they speak against you as evil-doers, they may, on account of your good works which they witness, glorify God in the day of visitation.

1 Peter 2:15

15 For such is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men;

1 Peter 2:17

17 Honor all men; love the brotherhood; reverence God; honor the king.

1 Peter 2:19-20

19 For this is praiseworthy, if any one, on account of conscience to ward God, endure sorrows, suffering unjustly.

1 Peter 2:19

19 For this is praiseworthy, if any one, on account of conscience to ward God, endure sorrows, suffering unjustly. 20 For what praise is due, if, when you are punished for your faults, you endure it patiently? But if, when you do well, and suffer for it, you endure it patiently, this is praiseworthy in the- sight of God.

1 Peter 2:20-20

20 For what praise is due, if, when you are punished for your faults, you endure it patiently? But if, when you do well, and suffer for it, you endure it patiently, this is praiseworthy in the- sight of God.

1 Peter 2:20

20 For what praise is due, if, when you are punished for your faults, you endure it patiently? But if, when you do well, and suffer for it, you endure it patiently, this is praiseworthy in the- sight of God. 21 To this, indeed, you have been called; because even Christ suffered for us, leaving you an example, that you should follow his footsteps.

1 Peter 2:21-24

21 To this, indeed, you have been called; because even Christ suffered for us, leaving you an example, that you should follow his footsteps. 22 He did no sin, nor was guile found in his mouth.

1 Peter 2:22

22 He did no sin, nor was guile found in his mouth.

1 Peter 2:22-24

22 He did no sin, nor was guile found in his mouth. 23 When he was reviled, he did not revile again; when he suffered, he did not threaten, but committed himself to him that judges righteously.

1 Peter 2:23-24

23 When he was reviled, he did not revile again; when he suffered, he did not threaten, but committed himself to him that judges righteously. 24 He himself bore our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness. By his stripes you were healed.

1 Peter 3:1-2

1 Likewise, you wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they may, without the word, be won by the conduct of their wives, 2 by observing your blameless and reverential conduct.

1 Peter 3:2

2 by observing your blameless and reverential conduct.

1 Peter 3:2-2

2 by observing your blameless and reverential conduct. 3 Let not your adorning be that which is outward, which consists in plaiting the hair, and wearing gold, and putting on apparel: 4 but let it be the hidden man of the heart, adorned with the incorruptible ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which, in the sight of God, is of great price.

1 Peter 3:4

4 but let it be the hidden man of the heart, adorned with the incorruptible ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which, in the sight of God, is of great price. 5 For, in former times, the holy women also, who trusted in God, thus adorned themselves, being in subjection to their own husbands, 6 as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: and you are her children, if you do good, and fear no dismay.

1 Peter 3:6

6 as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: and you are her children, if you do good, and fear no dismay. 7 Likewise, you husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, bestowing honor on the wife as the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, in order that your prayers may not be hindered.

1 Peter 3:14-15

14 But yet, if you even suffer for righteousness, happy are you. Yet fear not their terror, nor be troubled:

1 Peter 3:14

14 But yet, if you even suffer for righteousness, happy are you. Yet fear not their terror, nor be troubled: 15 but reverence the Lord God in your hearts, and be always ready to answer every one that asks of you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear;

1 Peter 3:15

15 but reverence the Lord God in your hearts, and be always ready to answer every one that asks of you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear;

1 Peter 3:15-15

15 but reverence the Lord God in your hearts, and be always ready to answer every one that asks of you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; 16 having a good conscience, that, inasmuch as they speak against you as evil-doers, they may be ashamed who traduce your good con duct in Christ.

1 Peter 3:21

21 the likeness of which, even immersion, (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the seeking of a good conscience toward God,) does now also save us, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

1 Peter 4:1

1 Since, then, Christ has suffered for us in the flesh, do you also arm yourselves with the same determination; for he that has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,

1 Peter 4:6

6 For this cause, indeed, even those who have died had the gospel preached to them, that though they might be judged according to the will of men in the flesh, yet they might live according to the will of God in the spirit.

1 Peter 4:13-16

13 But, inasmuch as you are partakers of the sufferings of the Christ,, rejoice, that, at the revelation of his glory, you may also be exceedingly joyful. 14 If you are reproached on account of Christ, happy are you: for the glorious Spirit of God rests upon you. On their part he is reviled, but on your part he is glorified: 15 for no one of you should suffer as a murderer, or a thief, or an evil-doer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.

1 Peter 4:15

15 for no one of you should suffer as a murderer, or a thief, or an evil-doer, or as a busybody in other men's matters. 16 But if any one suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God on this account. 17 For the time has come that judgment must begin at the house of God; and if it begin first at us, what shall be the end of those who obey not the gospel of God?

1 Peter 4:19

19 Wherefore, let those also who suffer according to the will of God, by doing good, commit their souls to him as to a faithful Creator.

1 Peter 5:5

5 Likewise, you younger, be in subjection to the older: do you all indeed be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resists the proud, but gives grace to the lowly.

1 Peter 5:10

10 But may the God of all grace, who has called us to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, confirm you.

2 Peter 1:7

7 and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love.

2 Peter 2:5

5 and if he spared not the old world, but brought a flood on the world of the ungodly, and saved Noah, the eighth person, who was a preacher of righteousness;

2 Peter 3:11

11 Seeing, then, that all these things shall be dissolved, what sort of persons ought you to be in all holy behavior, and godliness,

2 Peter 3:15

15 and count the long-suffering of our Lord, salvation, even as our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given him, has written to you;

1 John 1:9

9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just, so that he will forgive us our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

1 John 3:14

14 We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren: he that loves not his brother, abides in death.

1 John 3:18-19

18 My little children, let us not love in word, nor in tongue, but in deed, and in truth. 19 And by this we know that we are of the truth; and we shall have our hearts at rest before him:

3 John 1:11

11 Beloved, do not imitate that which is evil, but that which is good. He that does good is of God: he that does evil has not seen God.

Revelation 14:5

5 And in their mouth was found no guile; for they are blameless.

Revelation 19:10

10 And I fell at his feet to worship him; and he said to me: See that you do it not; I am your fellow-servant, and of your brethren that have the testimony of Jesus; worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

Revelation 20:7

7 And when the thousand years shall have been completed, Satan shall be loosed from his prison,
