20 And as neither sun nor stars appeared for many days, and no small tempest lay upon us, all hope of our being saved was at length taken away. 21 But, after long abstinence from food, Paul stood up in the midst of them, and said: men, you ought to have been persuaded by me, and not to have put to sea from Crete; and you would have avoided this damage and loss. 22 And now, I exhort you to be of good cheer; for there shall be no loss of life among you, but only of the ship. 23 For there stood by me this night an angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve, 24 and said, Fear not, Paul; you must stand in the presence of Caesar; and behold, God has given you all that are sailing with you. 25 For this reason, men, be cheerful; for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told to me. 26 But we must be thrown upon a certain island.

And thus it came to pass, that all got safe to land.
