³ who, being the effulgence of his glory and the exact representation of his essence, and upholding all things by his own powerful word, when he had by himself made expiation for our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

²⁴ saying: Teacher, Moses commanded, If any one die without children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up children for his brother.

¹⁹ The Lord, therefore, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven: and he sat down at the right hand of God.

⁴² Even David himself says, in the book of Psalms: The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at my right hand, ⁴³ till I make thy enemies thy footstool.

⁴ In him was life, and the life was the light of men.

¹⁴ And the "WORD became flesh, and tabernacled among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and of truth.

²⁹ The next day John saw Jesus coming to him, and said: Behold the Lamb of God, that takes away the sin of the world.

⁹ Jesus said to him: Have I been so long with you, and have you not known me, Philip? He that has seen me, has seen the Father; and how say you, Show us the Father? ¹⁰ Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words that I speak to you, I speak not of myself. The Father who dwells in me, he does the works.

³³ Therefore, having been exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from his Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this, which you now see and hear.

⁵⁶ and he said: Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing at the right hand of God.

¹⁶ For I am not ashamed of the Gospel: for it is the power of God in order to salvation, to every one that believes, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

³⁴ Who is he that condemns? It is Christ that died: rather, indeed, that has risen, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us.

⁴ whose unbelieving minds the god of this age has darkened, so that the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should not shine to them.

⁶ Because God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shined in our hearts, to give the light of the glorious knowledge of God in the person of Jesus Christ. ⁷ But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the exceeding greatness of the power may be God's and not our own.

²⁰ which he made active in the Christ when he raised him from the dead, and caused him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly places, ²¹ high above every principality and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come; ²² and subjected all things under his feet, and made him head over all things for the church,

¹⁵ who is the image of the invisible God, the first-born of every creature; ¹⁶ for by him were all things created, things in heaven and things in earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones, or lordships, or principalities, or authorities; all things were created by him, and for him: ¹⁷ and he is before all things, and by him all things consist:

¹ If, then, you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where the Christ sits at the right hand of God;

¹⁴ Seeing, then, that we have a great high priest, who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.

²⁷ who needs not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.

¹ Now concerning the things that have been spoken, the principal point is this: We have such a high priest, who has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;

¹² entered, not by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood, once for all, into the most holy, having obtained eternal redemption. ¹³ For if the blood of bulls and goats, and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling the unclean, cleanses them as it respects the purity of the flesh, ¹⁴ how much more will the blood of the Christ, who, through the eternal Spirit, offered himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works, in order that you may serve the living God?

¹⁶ For where a testament is, it is necessary that there be brought in the death of the testator:

²⁶ for then, he must have suffered often since the foundation of the world. But now once in the end of the ages, he has appeared in order to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

¹² but after offering one sacrifice for sins, he himself sits continually at the right hand of God,

² looking to Jesus the author and finisher of the faith, who, for the joy that was set before him, endured the cross, despising the shame, and has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of God.

²¹ who through him do believe in God who raised him from the dead, and gave him glory, that your faith and hope might be in God.

²² who has gone into heaven, and is at the right hand of God, angels and authorities and powers having become subject to him.

¹⁶ For we did not follow cunningly devised fables, when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ; but we were eye-witnesses of his majesty.

⁷ But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sin.

⁵ And you know that he was manifested, that he might take away our sins; and in him there is no sin.

²⁵ :

²¹ To him that overcomes, I will give to sit with me in my throne, even as I also have overcome, and have taken my seat with my father in his throne.
