² He said, therefore, to them: The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; pray, therefore, the Lord of the harvest that he send out laborers into his harvest.

³⁶ And when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion for them, because they were troubled and scattered as sheep that had no shepherd. ³⁷ Then he said to his disciples: The harvest is abundant, but the laborers are few. ³⁸ Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.

¹ For the kingdom of heaven is like the master of a house, who went out early in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard.

³⁴ As a man, going into another country, leaves his house, and gives authority to his servants, and to each one his own work, and commands the door-keeper to watch;

¹⁵ And he said to them: Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

²⁰ And they went forth and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following.

¹ And he called his twelve disciples to him, and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure dis eases:

³⁵ Do you not say, There are yet four months, and harvest comes? Behold, I say to you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields, for they are already white for the harvest. ³⁶ And he that reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for life eternal; that he that sows, and he that reaps, may rejoice together. ³⁷ For in this is the saying true, One sows and another reaps. ³⁸ I have sent you to reap that on which you bestowed no labor. Others have labored, and you have entered into their labors.

⁴ Then they that were dispersed went everywhere preaching the word.

¹⁹ Now those who had been dispersed by the persecution that arose after the death of Stephen, traveled as far as Phenicia and Cyprus and Antioch, speaking the word to none but Jews.

² And while they were ministering to the Lord, and fasting, the Holy Spirit said: Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul, to the work to which I have called them.

⁴ Therefore, having been sent forth by the Holy Spirit, they went down to Seleucia, and thence sailed to Cyprus.

⁹ And, during the night, a vision appeared to Paul. A certain man of Macedonia stood and besought him, saying: Come over to Macedonia and help us. ¹⁰ After he had seen the vision, we immediately endeavored to go into Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to preach the gospel to them.

²⁸ Therefore, take heed to yourselves, and to all the flock over which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, that you be shepherds to the church of God, which he has purchased with his own blood.

²¹ And he said to me, Depart, for I will send you far off to the Gentiles.

¹⁵ And I said, Who art thou, Lord? He replied, I am Jesus, whom you persecute. ¹⁶ But arise, and stand upon your feet; for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness of the things which you have seen, and of those in which I will appear to you, ¹⁷ delivering you from the people, and from the Gentiles, to whom now I send you, ¹⁸ in order to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the authority of Satan to God, that they may receive remission of sins, and an inheritance among the sanctified, by faith in me.

⁶ I planted, Apollos watered: but God made to grow. ⁷ So, neither he that plants nor he that waters is any thing: but God that makes to grow. ⁸ But he that plants and he that waters are one; and each one shall receive his own reward, according to his own labor. ⁹ For we are fellow-laborers for God: you are God's field, you are God's building.

²⁸ And God has placed some in the church, first, apostles; secondly, prophets; thirdly, teachers; then mighty deeds; then gifts of healing; helps, governments, kinds of tongues.

¹⁰ But, by the grace of God, I am what I am; and his grace, which was bestowed on me, has not been bestowed in vain: but I have labored more abundantly than they all; not I, how ever, but the grace of God which was with me.

¹ As co-workers with him, we beseech you, that you receive not the grace of God in vain:

⁷ But grace has been given to each one of us, according to the measure of the gift of the Christ. ⁸ For which reason, the scripture says: When he ascended on high, he led captive a multitude of captives, and gave gifts to men. ⁹ But this He ascended what does it mean, but that he also descended into the lower earthly regions? ¹⁰ He that descended is also he that ascended high above all the heavens, that he might fill all things. ¹¹ And he himself gave some to be apostles, and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; ¹² for the complete instruction of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the building up of the body of the Christ,

²¹ for all seek their own, not the things of Jesus Christ.

²⁵ Yet I thought it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus my brother and companion in labor and fellow-soldier, but your apostle, who also ministered to my want,

³⁰ because for the work of the Christ he was near to death, not regarding his life, that he might supply that which was lacking in your service to me.

²⁹ to which end I also labor, striving according to his energy, which works in me mightily.

¹² Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, salutes you; he always strives earnestly for you in his prayers, that you may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.

⁹ For you remember, brethren, our labor and toil; for, laboring night and day, that we might not be burdensome to any one of you, we preached to you the gospel of God.

¹² Now we beseech you, brethren, to have regard for those who labor among you, and preside over you in the Lord, and admonish you,

¹ Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may run and be glorified even as among you;

¹² And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me power, because he counted me faithful, and put me into the ministry; ¹³ me, I say, who before was a reviler and a persecutor and an overbearing man. But I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief: ¹⁴ and the grace of our Lord was very abundant with faith, and love which is in Christ Jesus.

¹⁰ for to this end we both labor, and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe.

¹⁵ Meditate upon these things; give yourself wholly to them, that your advancement may be manifest in all things. ¹⁶ Take heed to yourself, and to your teaching; continue in them; for by doing this, you will save both yourself, and those who hear you.

¹⁷ Let the elders who rule well, be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in word and teaching. ¹⁸ For the scripture says: You shall not muzzle the ox that treads out the grain; and, The laborer is worthy of his hire.

³ Do you, there fore, suffer evil, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. ⁴ Every one that serves as a soldier keeps himself free from the business of this life, that he may please him that has chosen him to be a soldier. ⁵ And if any one also contend in the public games, he is not crowned, unless he contend according to the laws. ⁶ It is necessary that, the farmer should labor, before he partakes of the fruits.

⁵ But do you be watchful in all things, endure evil, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.?

¹ PAUL, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy my brother, to Philemon my beloved, and our fellow-laborer,

⁶ but Christ, as a Son over his own house; whose house we are, if we hold the confidence and the joy of our hope firm to the end.

¹ To the angel of the church in Ephesus, write: These things says he that holds the seven stars in his right hand, that walks in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;

² But the court that is without the temple leave out, and measure it not: for it is given to the Gentiles, and the holy city they shall tread under foot forty-two months. ³ And I will give to my two witnesses, that they may prophesy a thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.
