⁴² And he said to Jesus: remember me, Lord, when thou comest in thy kingdom.

⁸ And I further say to you, Whoever confesses me before men, him will the Son of man also confess before the angels of God.

¹³ And the publican, standing afar off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying: God, be merciful to me a sinner.

²⁶ Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?

¹⁰ nor thieves, nor defrauders, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. ¹¹ And such were some of you: but you are washed, but you are sanctified, but you are justified, in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

¹¹ inquiring what things, and what time, the Spirit of Christ that was in them did signify, when it testified, before hand, the sufferings of Christ, and the glories that should follow them;

⁶ For it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a chief corner-stone, chosen, precious; and he that believes on him shall not be ashamed. ⁷ To you, then, who believe, is this preciousness: but the stone which the builders rejected, has become the head of the corner,

¹ Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ, has been be gotten of God: and every one that loves him that begot, loves him also that is begotten of him.

¹¹ And this is the testimony, that God has given us eternal life: and this life is in his Son. ¹² He that has the Son, has life: he that has not the Son of God, has not life. ¹³ I have written these things to you that believe on the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may believe on the name of the Son of God.
