⁵ Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus,

²⁹ Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am meek and lowly in heart; and you shall find rest for your souls.

²⁶ It shall not be so among you. But whoever will be great among you, let him be your minister. ²⁷ And whoever will be first among you, let him be your servant; ²⁸ even as the Son of man came, not to be ministered to, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

²⁷ For which is greater, he that reclines at table, or he that serves? Is not he that reclines at table? But I am among you as one that serves.

¹⁴ If, then, I, your Lord and your Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. ¹⁵ For I have given you an example, that you also may do as I have done for you.

³⁸ how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit, and with power; who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed by the devil; for God was with him.

³⁵ In all things I have taught you by ex ample, that by thus laboring, you ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus; for he himself said, It is more blessed to give, than to receive.

¹⁵ But if your brother is grieved on account of your food, you no longer walk according to love. Do not, with your food, destroy him, for whom Christ died.

³ For the Christ did not please himself; but as it is written: The reproaches of them that reproached thee, fell on me.

⁵ Now, may the God of patience and comfort make you of the same mind one toward another, according to Christ Jesus;

³³ even as I please all men in all things, not seeking my own good, but that of the many, in order that they may be saved.

² and walk in love, as the Christ also loved us, and gave him self for us as an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet odor.

²¹ To this, indeed, you have been called; because even Christ suffered for us, leaving you an example, that you should follow his footsteps.

¹ Since, then, Christ has suffered for us in the flesh, do you also arm yourselves with the same determination; for he that has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,

⁶ He that says, he abides in him, ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
