Titus 2:9 Cross References - Anderson

9 Exhort servants to be subject to their own masters, and to please them well in all things, not contradicting,

Ephesians 5:24

24 But as the church is subject to the Christ, so, also, let the wives be subject to their own husbands in every thing.

Ephesians 6:5-8

5 Servants, be subject to your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in the simplicity of your heart, as to the Christ; 6 not with eye-service, as pleasing men, but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the soul; 7 with good will doing service as to the Lord, and not as to men; 8 knowing that whatever good any one does, the same shall he receive from the Lord, whether he is a servant or a freeman.

Colossians 3:22-25

22 Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh, not with eye-service, as pleasing men, but with simplicity of heart, fearing God. 23 And whatever you do, do from the soul, as to the Lord, and not to men; 24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance: for you serve the Lord Christ. 25 But he that does wrong shall receive for the wrong which he has done; and there is no respect of persons.

1 Timothy 6:1-2

1 Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honor, that the name of God, and his teaching, be not reviled. 2 And those who have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren: but rather let them serve them, because they who partake of the benefit of their service, are believers and beloved brethren. These things enforce in your teaching and exhortation.

1 Peter 2:18-25

18 Servants, be subject to your masters with all respect; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the perverse. 19 For this is praiseworthy, if any one, on account of conscience to ward God, endure sorrows, suffering unjustly. 20 For what praise is due, if, when you are punished for your faults, you endure it patiently? But if, when you do well, and suffer for it, you endure it patiently, this is praiseworthy in the- sight of God. 21 To this, indeed, you have been called; because even Christ suffered for us, leaving you an example, that you should follow his footsteps. 22 He did no sin, nor was guile found in his mouth. 23 When he was reviled, he did not revile again; when he suffered, he did not threaten, but committed himself to him that judges righteously. 24 He himself bore our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness. By his stripes you were healed. 25 For you were like sheep that had gone astray; but now you have returned to the shepherd and bishop of your souls.
