²⁸ Προσέχετε (Take heed) ἑαυτοῖς (to yourselves) καὶ (and) παντὶ (to all) τῷ (the) ποιμνίῳ (flock) ἐν (among) ᾧ (which) ὑμᾶς (you) τὸ (the) Πνεῦμα (Spirit) τὸ (-) Ἅγιον (Holy) ἔθετο (has set) ἐπισκόπους (overseers), ποιμαίνειν (to shepherd) τὴν (the) ἐκκλησίαν (church) τοῦ (-) Θεοῦ (of God), ἣν (which) περιεποιήσατο (He purchased) διὰ (with) τοῦ (-) αἵματος (blood) τοῦ (the) ἰδίου (own).

³² ἀπρόσκοποι (Without offense) καὶ (both) Ἰουδαίοις (to Jews) γίνεσθε (be you), καὶ (and) Ἕλλησιν (Greeks), καὶ (and) τῇ (to the) ἐκκλησίᾳ (church) τοῦ (-) Θεοῦ (of God) —

²² καὶ (And) πάντα (all things) ὑπέταξεν (He put) ὑπὸ (under) τοὺς (the) πόδας (feet) αὐτοῦ (of Him), καὶ (and) αὐτὸν (Him) ἔδωκεν (gave) κεφαλὴν (to be head) ὑπὲρ (over) πάντα (all things) τῇ (to the) ἐκκλησίᾳ (church),

²⁴ ἀλλὰ (But) ὡς (even as) ἡ (the) ἐκκλησία (church) ὑποτάσσεται (is subjected) τῷ (-) Χριστῷ (to Christ), οὕτως (so) καὶ (also) αἱ (-) γυναῖκες (wives) τοῖς (to the own) ἀνδράσιν (husbands) ἐν (in) παντί (everything).

³² τὸ (The) μυστήριον (mystery) τοῦτο (this) μέγα (great) ἐστίν (is); ἐγὼ (I) δὲ (however) λέγω (speak) εἰς (as to) Χριστὸν (Christ), καὶ (and) εἰς (as to) τὴν (the) ἐκκλησίαν (church).

¹⁵ ἐὰν (if) δὲ (however) βραδύνω (I should delay), ἵνα (so that) εἰδῇς (you may know) πῶς (how) δεῖ (it behooves one) ἐν (in) οἴκῳ (the household) Θεοῦ (of God) ἀναστρέφεσθαι (to conduct oneself), ἥτις (which) ἐστὶν (is) ἐκκλησία (the church) Θεοῦ (of God) ζῶντος (the living), στῦλος (the pillar) καὶ (and) ἑδραίωμα (base) τῆς (of the) ἀληθείας (truth).
