¹⁹ πολλοὶ (Many) δὲ (now) ἐκ (of) τῶν (the) Ἰουδαίων (Jews) ἐληλύθεισαν (had come) πρὸς (unto) τὴν (-) Μάρθαν (Martha) καὶ (and) Μαριὰμ (Mary) ἵνα (that) παραμυθήσωνται (they might console) αὐτὰς (them) περὶ (concerning) τοῦ (the) ἀδελφοῦ (brother).

¹⁵ χαίρειν (to rejoice) μετὰ (with the) χαιρόντων (rejoicing), κλαίειν (to weep) μετὰ (with the) κλαιόντων (weeping);

⁴ ὁ (the One) παρακαλῶν (comforting) ἡμᾶς (us) ἐπὶ (in) πάσῃ (all) τῇ (the) θλίψει (tribulation) ἡμῶν (of us), εἰς (for) τὸ (-) δύνασθαι (to be able) ἡμᾶς (us) παρακαλεῖν (to comfort) τοὺς (those) ἐν (in) πάσῃ (every) θλίψει (tribulation) διὰ (through) τῆς (the) παρακλήσεως (comfort) ἧς (with which) παρακαλούμεθα (we are comforted) αὐτοὶ (ourselves) ὑπὸ (by) τοῦ (-) Θεοῦ (God),

¹⁸ Ὥστε (Therefore) παρακαλεῖτε (encourage) ἀλλήλους (one another) ἐν (with) τοῖς (the) λόγοις (words) τούτοις (these).
