⁴ Σίμων (Simon) ὁ (the) Καναναῖος (Zealot), καὶ (and) Ἰούδας (Judas) ὁ (-) Ἰσκαριώτης (Iscariot), ὁ (the one) καὶ (also) παραδοὺς (having betrayed) αὐτόν (Him).

¹⁶ καὶ (and) Ἰούδαν (Judas son) Ἰακώβου (of James); καὶ (and) Ἰούδαν (Judas) Ἰσκαριὼθ (Iscariot), ὃς (who) ἐγένετο (became) προδότης (the betrayer).

⁷⁰ Ἀπεκρίθη (Answered) αὐτοῖς (them) ὁ (-) Ἰησοῦς (Jesus), “Οὐκ (Not) ἐγὼ (I) ὑμᾶς (you) τοὺς (the) δώδεκα (Twelve) ἐξελεξάμην (did choose), καὶ (and) ἐξ (of) ὑμῶν (you) εἷς (one) διάβολός (a devil) ἐστιν (is)?” ⁷¹ ἔλεγεν (He was speaking) δὲ (now) τὸν (-) Ἰούδαν (of Judas) Σίμωνος (son of Simon) Ἰσκαριώτου (Iscariot); οὗτος (he) γὰρ (for) ἔμελλεν (was about) παραδιδόναι (to betray) αὐτόν (Him), εἷς (one) ἐκ (of) τῶν (the) δώδεκα (Twelve).

² καὶ (And) δείπνου (supper) γινομένου (taking place), τοῦ (the) διαβόλου (devil) ἤδη (already) βεβληκότος (having put) εἰς (into) τὴν (the) καρδίαν (heart) ἵνα (that) παραδοῖ (he should betray) αὐτὸν (Him) Ἰούδας (of Judas), Σίμωνος (son of Simon) Ἰσκαριώτου (Iscariot),

²⁶ Ἀποκρίνεται (Answers) 〈οὖν〉 (then) ὁ (-) Ἰησοῦς (Jesus), “Ἐκεῖνός (He) ἐστιν (it is) ᾧ (to whom) ἐγὼ (I) βάψω (will dip) τὸ (the) ψωμίον (morsel) καὶ (and) δώσω (will give) αὐτῷ (him).” βάψας (Having dipped) οὖν (then) τὸ (the) ψωμίον (morsel), λαμβάνει (He takes it) καὶ (and) δίδωσιν (gives it) Ἰούδᾳ (to Judas), Σίμωνος (son of Simon) Ἰσκαριώτου (Iscariot).

² ᾔδει (Knew) δὲ (now) καὶ (also) Ἰούδας (Judas), ὁ (who) παραδιδοὺς (was delivering up) αὐτὸν (Him), τὸν (the) τόπον (place), ὅτι (because) πολλάκις (often) συνήχθη (gathered together) Ἰησοῦς (Jesus) ἐκεῖ (there) μετὰ (with) τῶν (the) μαθητῶν (disciples) αὐτοῦ (of Him). ³ ὁ (-) οὖν (Therefore) Ἰούδας (Judas), λαβὼν (having procured) τὴν (the) σπεῖραν (cohort) καὶ (and) ἐκ (from) τῶν (the) ἀρχιερέων (chief priests) καὶ (and) ἐκ (from) τῶν (the) Φαρισαίων (Pharisees) ὑπηρέτας (officers), ἔρχεται (comes) ἐκεῖ (there) μετὰ (with) φανῶν (lanterns), καὶ (and) λαμπάδων (torches), καὶ (and) ὅπλων (weapons). ⁴ Ἰησοῦς (Jesus) οὖν (therefore), εἰδὼς (knowing) πάντα (all things) τὰ (that) ἐρχόμενα (are coming) ἐπ’ (upon) αὐτὸν (Him), ἐξῆλθεν (having gone forth) καὶ (also) λέγει (said) αὐτοῖς (to them), “Τίνα (Whom) ζητεῖτε (seek you)?” ⁵ Ἀπεκρίθησαν (They answered) αὐτῷ (Him), “Ἰησοῦν (Jesus) τὸν (of) Ναζωραῖον (Nazareth).” Λέγει (He says) αὐτοῖς (to them), “Ἐγώ (I) εἰμι (am He).” Εἱστήκει (Had been standing) δὲ (now) καὶ (also) Ἰούδας (Judas), ὁ (who) παραδιδοὺς (is delivering up) αὐτὸν (Him), μετ’ (with) αὐτῶν (them).
