⁴⁰ Καὶ (And) ἀποκριθεὶς (answering), ὁ (the) Βασιλεὺς (King) ἐρεῖ (will say) αὐτοῖς (to them), ‘Ἀμὴν (Truly) λέγω (I say) ὑμῖν (to you), ἐφ’ (to the extent) ὅσον (as much as) ἐποιήσατε (you did it) ἑνὶ (to one) τούτων (of these) τῶν (the) ἀδελφῶν (brothers) μου (of Me) τῶν (the) ἐλαχίστων (least), ἐμοὶ (to Me) ἐποιήσατε (you did it).’

³⁷ “Ὃς (Whoever) ἂν (-) ἓν (one) τῶν (-) τοιούτων (of such) παιδίων (little children) δέξηται (shall receive) ἐπὶ (in) τῷ (the) ὀνόματί (name) μου (of Me), ἐμὲ (Me) δέχεται (receives); καὶ (and) ὃς (whoever) ἂν (-) ἐμὲ (Me) δέχηται (shall receive), οὐκ (not) ἐμὲ (Me) δέχεται (receives), ἀλλὰ (but) τὸν (the One) ἀποστείλαντά (having sent) με (Me).”

⁴⁸ καὶ (and) εἶπεν (He said) αὐτοῖς (to them), “Ὃς (Whoever) ἐὰν (if) δέξηται (shall receive) τοῦτο (this) τὸ (-) παιδίον (child) ἐπὶ (in) τῷ (the) ὀνόματί (name) μου (of Me), ἐμὲ (Me) δέχεται (receives); καὶ (and) ὃς (whoever) ἂν (-) ἐμὲ (Me) δέξηται (shall receive), δέχεται (receives) τὸν (the One) ἀποστείλαντά (having sent) με (Me). ὁ (The one) γὰρ (for) μικρότερος (least) ἐν (among) πᾶσιν (all) ὑμῖν (you) ὑπάρχων (being), οὗτός (he) ἐστιν (shall be) μέγας (great).”

¹⁶ Ὁ (The one) ἀκούων (hearing) ὑμῶν (you), ἐμοῦ (Me) ἀκούει (hears); καὶ (and) ὁ (the one) ἀθετῶν (rejecting) ὑμᾶς (you), ἐμὲ (Me) ἀθετεῖ (rejects); ὁ (the one) δὲ (now) ἐμὲ (Me) ἀθετῶν (rejecting), ἀθετεῖ (rejects) τὸν (the One) ἀποστείλαντά (having sent) με (Me).”

⁴⁴ Ἰησοῦς (Jesus) δὲ (then) ἔκραξεν (cried out) καὶ (and) εἶπεν (said), “Ὁ (The one) πιστεύων (believing) εἰς (in) ἐμὲ (Me), οὐ (not) πιστεύει (believes) εἰς (in) ἐμὲ (Me), ἀλλὰ (but) εἰς (in) τὸν (the One) πέμψαντά (having sent) με (Me); ⁴⁵ καὶ (and) ὁ (the one) θεωρῶν (beholding) ἐμὲ (Me), θεωρεῖ (beholds) τὸν (the One) πέμψαντά (having sent) με (Me). ⁴⁶ ἐγὼ (I) φῶς (a light) εἰς (into) τὸν (the) κόσμον (world) ἐλήλυθα (have come), ἵνα (so that) πᾶς (everyone) ὁ (-) πιστεύων (believing) εἰς (in) ἐμὲ (Me), ἐν (in) τῇ (the) σκοτίᾳ (darkness) μὴ (not) μείνῃ (should abide). ⁴⁷ Καὶ (And) ἐάν (if) τίς (anyone) μου (of Me) ἀκούσῃ (hears) τῶν (the) ῥημάτων (words) καὶ (and) μὴ (not) φυλάξῃ (keeps them), ἐγὼ (I) οὐ (not) κρίνω (do judge) αὐτόν (him), οὐ (not) γὰρ (for) ἦλθον (I came) ἵνα (that) κρίνω (I might judge) τὸν (the) κόσμον (world), ἀλλ’ (but) ἵνα (that) σώσω (I might save) τὸν (the) κόσμον (world). ⁴⁸ ὁ (The one) ἀθετῶν (rejecting) ἐμὲ (Me) καὶ (and) μὴ (not) λαμβάνων (receiving) τὰ (the) ῥήματά (words) μου (of Me) ἔχει (has) τὸν (one) κρίνοντα (judging) αὐτόν (him): ὁ (The) λόγος (word) ὃν (which) ἐλάλησα (I spoke), ἐκεῖνος (that) κρινεῖ (will judge) αὐτὸν (him) ἐν (in) τῇ (the) ἐσχάτῃ (last) ἡμέρᾳ (day).

¹⁴ καὶ (and) τὸν (the) πειρασμὸν (test) ὑμῶν (of you) ἐν (in) τῇ (the) σαρκί (flesh) μου (of me), οὐκ (not) ἐξουθενήσατε (you did despise me), οὐδὲ (nor) ἐξεπτύσατε (reject me with contempt); ἀλλὰ (but) ὡς (as) ἄγγελον (an angel) Θεοῦ (of God), ἐδέξασθέ (you received) με (me) ὡς (even as) Χριστὸν (Christ) Ἰησοῦν (Jesus).

⁶ Ὡς (Just as) οὖν (therefore) παρελάβετε (you have received) τὸν (-) Χριστὸν (Christ) Ἰησοῦν (Jesus) τὸν (the) Κύριον (Lord), ἐν (in) αὐτῷ (Him) περιπατεῖτε (walk),
