¹⁰ καὶ (And) τὰ (things) ἐμὰ (of mine) πάντα (all), σά (Yours) ἐστιν (are); καὶ (and) τὰ (-) σὰ (Yours), ἐμά (Mine); καὶ (and) δεδόξασμαι (I have been glorified) ἐν (in) αὐτοῖς (them).

²³ ἵνα (so that) πάντες (all) τιμῶσι (may honor) τὸν (the) Υἱὸν (Son), καθὼς (even as) τιμῶσι (they honor) τὸν (the) Πατέρα (Father). ὁ (He who) μὴ (not) τιμῶν (is honoring) τὸν (the) Υἱὸν (Son), οὐ (not) τιμᾷ (is honoring) τὸν (the) Πατέρα (Father), τὸν (the One) πέμψαντα (having sent) αὐτόν (Him).

³⁰ ἐγὼ (I) καὶ (and) ὁ (the) Πατὴρ (Father) ἕν (one) ἐσμεν (are).”

⁴ Ἀκούσας (Having heard) δὲ (then), ὁ (-) Ἰησοῦς (Jesus) εἶπεν (said), “Αὕτη (This) ἡ (-) ἀσθένεια (sickness) οὐκ (not) ἔστιν (is) πρὸς (unto) θάνατον (death), ἀλλ’ (but) ὑπὲρ (for) τῆς (the) δόξης (glory) τοῦ (-) Θεοῦ (of God), ἵνα (that) δοξασθῇ (may be glorified) ὁ (the) Υἱὸς (Son) τοῦ (-) Θεοῦ (of God) δι’ (by) αὐτῆς (it).”

²³ Ὁ (-) δὲ (And) Ἰησοῦς (Jesus) ἀποκρίνεται (answered) αὐτοῖς (them) λέγων (saying), “Ἐλήλυθεν (Has come) ἡ (the) ὥρα (hour) ἵνα (that) δοξασθῇ (should be glorified) ὁ (the) Υἱὸς (Son) τοῦ (-) ἀνθρώπου (of Man).

¹⁴ ἐκεῖνος (He) ἐμὲ (Me) δοξάσει (will glorify), ὅτι (for) ἐκ (from) τοῦ (that which is) ἐμοῦ (Mine) λήμψεται (He will take), καὶ (and) ἀναγγελεῖ (will disclose) ὑμῖν (to you). ¹⁵ πάντα (All things) ὅσα (whatever) ἔχει (has) ὁ (the) Πατὴρ (Father), ἐμά (Mine) ἐστιν (are); διὰ (because of) τοῦτο (this), εἶπον (I said) ὅτι (that) ἐκ (from) τοῦ (that which is) ἐμοῦ (Mine) λαμβάνει (He will take) καὶ (and) ἀναγγελεῖ (will disclose) ὑμῖν (to you).

¹⁷ Τοῦτο (This) δὲ (now) ἐγένετο (became) γνωστὸν (known) πᾶσιν (to all) Ἰουδαίοις (Jews) τε (both) καὶ (and) Ἕλλησιν (Greeks), τοῖς (those) κατοικοῦσιν (inhabiting) τὴν (-) Ἔφεσον (Ephesus); καὶ (and) ἐπέπεσεν (fell) φόβος (fear) ἐπὶ (upon) πάντας (all) αὐτούς (them), καὶ (and) ἐμεγαλύνετο (was being magnified) τὸ (the) ὄνομα (name) τοῦ (of the) Κυρίου (Lord) Ἰησοῦ (Jesus).

²¹ Ὥστε (Therefore) μηδεὶς (no one) καυχάσθω (let boast) ἐν (in) ἀνθρώποις (men). πάντα (All things) γὰρ (for) ὑμῶν (of you) ἐστιν (are), ²² εἴτε (whether) Παῦλος (Paul), εἴτε (or) Ἀπολλῶς (Apollos), εἴτε (or) Κηφᾶς (Cephas), εἴτε (or the) κόσμος (world), εἴτε (or) ζωὴ (life), εἴτε (or) θάνατος (death), εἴτε (or) ἐνεστῶτα (things present), εἴτε (or) μέλλοντα (things to come)— πάντα (all) ὑμῶν (yours), ²³ ὑμεῖς (you) δὲ (now) Χριστοῦ (of Christ), Χριστὸς (Christ) δὲ (now) Θεοῦ (of God).

²⁴ καὶ (And) ἐδόξαζον (they were glorifying) ἐν (in) ἐμοὶ (me) τὸν (-) Θεόν (God).

²⁰ κατὰ (according to) τὴν (the) ἀποκαραδοκίαν (earnest expectation) καὶ (and) ἐλπίδα (hope) μου (of me) ὅτι (that) ἐν (in) οὐδενὶ (nothing) αἰσχυνθήσομαι (I will be ashamed), ἀλλ’ (but) ἐν (in) πάσῃ (all) παρρησίᾳ (boldness), ὡς (as) πάντοτε (always) καὶ (also) νῦν (now), μεγαλυνθήσεται (will be magnified) Χριστὸς (Christ) ἐν (in) τῷ (the) σώματί (body) μου (of me), εἴτε (whether) διὰ (by) ζωῆς (life) εἴτε (or) διὰ (by) θανάτου (death).

⁹ Διὸ (Therefore) καὶ (also) ὁ (-) Θεὸς (God) αὐτὸν (Him) ὑπερύψωσεν (highly exalted), καὶ (and) ἐχαρίσατο (granted) αὐτῷ (to Him) τὸ (the) ὄνομα (name) τὸ (-) ὑπὲρ (above) πᾶν (every) ὄνομα (name), ¹⁰ ἵνα (that) ἐν (at) τῷ (the) ὀνόματι (name) Ἰησοῦ (of Jesus) πᾶν (every) γόνυ (knee) κάμψῃ (should bow), ἐπουρανίων (in the heavens) καὶ (and) ἐπιγείων (on earth) καὶ (and) καταχθονίων (under the earth), ¹¹ καὶ (and) πᾶσα (every) γλῶσσα (tongue) ἐξομολογήσηται (should confess) ὅτι (that) ΚΥΡΙΟΣ (is Lord) ΙΗΣΟΥΣ (Jesus) ΧΡΙΣΤΟΣ (Christ), εἰς (to) δόξαν (the glory) Θεοῦ (of God) Πατρός (the Father).

¹⁵ Ὅς (He) ἐστιν (is) εἰκὼν (the image) τοῦ (of the) Θεοῦ (God) τοῦ (-) ἀοράτου (invisible), πρωτότοκος (the firstborn) πάσης (over all) κτίσεως (creation), ¹⁶ ὅτι (because) ἐν (in) αὐτῷ (Him) ἐκτίσθη (were created) τὰ (-) πάντα (all things) ἐν (in) τοῖς (the) οὐρανοῖς (heavens) καὶ (and) ἐπὶ (upon) τῆς (the) γῆς (earth), τὰ (the) ὁρατὰ (visible) καὶ (and) τὰ (the) ἀόρατα (invisible), εἴτε (whether) θρόνοι (thrones) εἴτε (or) κυριότητες (dominions) εἴτε (or) ἀρχαὶ (rulers) εἴτε (or) ἐξουσίαι (authorities); τὰ (-) πάντα (all things) δι’ (through) αὐτοῦ (Him) καὶ (and) εἰς (unto) αὐτὸν (Him) ἔκτισται (have been created). ¹⁷ Καὶ (And) αὐτός (He) ἐστιν (is) πρὸ (before) πάντων (all things), καὶ (and) τὰ (-) πάντα (all things) ἐν (in) αὐτῷ (Him) συνέστηκεν (hold together). ¹⁸ καὶ (And) αὐτός (He) ἐστιν (is) ἡ (the) κεφαλὴ (head) τοῦ (of the) σώματος (body), τῆς (the) ἐκκλησίας (church), ὅς (who) ἐστιν (is) (ἡ) (the) ἀρχή (beginning), πρωτότοκος (firstborn) ἐκ (out from) τῶν (the) νεκρῶν (dead), ἵνα (so that) γένηται (might be) ἐν (in) πᾶσιν (all things) αὐτὸς (He) πρωτεύων (holding preeminence), ¹⁹ ὅτι (because) ἐν (in) αὐτῷ (Him) εὐδόκησεν (was pleased) πᾶν (all) τὸ (the) πλήρωμα (fullness) κατοικῆσαι (to dwell),

⁹ ὅτι (For) ἐν (in) αὐτῷ (Him) κατοικεῖ (dwells) πᾶν (all) τὸ (the) πλήρωμα (fullness) τῆς (of the) Θεότητος (Deity) σωματικῶς (bodily);

¹⁰ ὅταν (when) ἔλθῃ (He shall come) ἐνδοξασθῆναι (to be glorified) ἐν (in) τοῖς (the) ἁγίοις (saints) αὐτοῦ (of Him), καὶ (and) θαυμασθῆναι (to be marveled at) ἐν (among) πᾶσιν (all) τοῖς (those) πιστεύσασιν (having believed), ὅτι (because) ἐπιστεύθη (was believed) τὸ (the) μαρτύριον (testimony) ἡμῶν (of us) ἐφ’ (to) ὑμᾶς (you) ἐν (in) τῇ (the) ἡμέρᾳ (day) ἐκείνῃ (that),

¹² ὅπως (so that) ἐνδοξασθῇ (may be glorified) τὸ (the) ὄνομα (name) τοῦ (of the) Κυρίου (Lord) ἡμῶν (of us) Ἰησοῦ (Jesus) ἐν (in) ὑμῖν (you), καὶ (and) ὑμεῖς (you) ἐν (in) αὐτῷ (Him), κατὰ (according to) τὴν (the) χάριν (grace) τοῦ (of the) Θεοῦ (God) ἡμῶν (of us) καὶ (and) Κυρίου (the Lord) Ἰησοῦ (Jesus) Χριστοῦ (Christ).

⁹ Ὑμεῖς (You) δὲ (however) γένος (are a race) ἐκλεκτόν (chosen), βασίλειον (a royal) ἱεράτευμα (priesthood), ἔθνος (a nation) ἅγιον (holy), λαὸς (a people) εἰς (for His) περιποίησιν (possession), ὅπως (so that) τὰς (the) ἀρετὰς (excellencies) ἐξαγγείλητε (you may proclaim) τοῦ (of the One) ἐκ (out of) σκότους (darkness) ὑμᾶς (you) καλέσαντος (having called), εἰς (to) τὸ (the) θαυμαστὸν (marvelous) αὐτοῦ (of Him) φῶς (light),

⁸ Καὶ (And) ὅτε (when) ἔλαβεν (He had taken) τὸ (the) βιβλίον (scroll), τὰ (the) τέσσαρα (four) ζῷα (living creatures) καὶ (and) οἱ (the) εἴκοσι (twenty) τέσσαρες (four) πρεσβύτεροι (elders) ἔπεσαν (fell down) ἐνώπιον (before) τοῦ (the) Ἀρνίου (Lamb), ἔχοντες (having) ἕκαστος (each) κιθάραν (a harp) καὶ (and) φιάλας (bowls) χρυσᾶς (golden) γεμούσας (being full) θυμιαμάτων (of incenses), αἵ (which) εἰσιν (are) αἱ (the) προσευχαὶ (prayers) τῶν (of the) ἁγίων (saints). ⁹ καὶ (And) ᾄδουσιν (they are singing) ᾠδὴν (a song) καινὴν (new), λέγοντες (saying), “Ἄξιος (Worthy) εἶ (are You) λαβεῖν (to take) τὸ (the) βιβλίον (scroll), καὶ (and) ἀνοῖξαι (to open) τὰς (the) σφραγῖδας (seals) αὐτοῦ (of it), ὅτι (because) ἐσφάγης (You were slain), καὶ (and) ἠγόρασας (You purchased) τῷ (-) Θεῷ (to God) ἐν (by) τῷ (the) αἵματί (blood) σου (of You), ἐκ (out of) πάσης (every) φυλῆς (tribe) καὶ (and) γλώσσης (tongue) καὶ (and) λαοῦ (people) καὶ (and) ἔθνους (nation), ¹⁰ καὶ (and) ἐποίησας (You have made) αὐτοὺς (them) τῷ (to the) Θεῷ (God) ἡμῶν (of us), βασιλείαν (a kingdom) καὶ (and) ἱερεῖς (priests); καὶ (and) βασιλεύσουσιν (they will reign) ἐπὶ (upon) τῆς (the) γῆς (earth).” ¹¹ Καὶ (And) εἶδον (I looked), καὶ (and) ἤκουσα (I heard) φωνὴν (the voice) ἀγγέλων (of angels) πολλῶν (many) κύκλῳ (around) τοῦ (the) θρόνου (throne), καὶ (and) τῶν (of the) ζῴων (living creatures), καὶ (and) τῶν (of the) πρεσβυτέρων (elders); καὶ (and) ἦν (was) ὁ (the) ἀριθμὸς (number) αὐτῶν (of them) μυριάδες (myriads) μυριάδων (of myriads) καὶ (and) χιλιάδες (thousands) χιλιάδων (of thousands), ¹² λέγοντες (saying) φωνῇ (in a voice) μεγάλῃ (loud): “Ἄξιόν* (Worthy) ἐστιν (is) τὸ (the) Ἀρνίον (Lamb) τὸ (-) ἐσφαγμένον (having been slain), λαβεῖν (to receive) τὴν (the) δύναμιν (power) καὶ (and) πλοῦτον (riches) καὶ (and) σοφίαν (wisdom) καὶ (and) ἰσχὺν (strength) καὶ (and) τιμὴν (honor) καὶ (and) δόξαν (glory) καὶ (and) εὐλογίαν (blessing)!” ¹³ Καὶ (And) πᾶν (every) κτίσμα (creature) ὃ (which) ἐν (in) τῷ (-) οὐρανῷ (heaven), καὶ (and) ἐπὶ (upon) τῆς (the) γῆς (earth), καὶ (and) ὑποκάτω (under) τῆς (the) γῆς (earth), καὶ (and) ἐπὶ (on) τῆς (the) θαλάσσης (sea) 〈ἐστίν〉 (is), καὶ (and) τὰ (-) ἐν (in) αὐτοῖς (them) πάντα (everything), ἤκουσα (I heard) λέγοντας (saying): “Τῷ (To the One) καθημένῳ (sitting) ἐπὶ (on) τῷ (the) θρόνῳ (throne), καὶ (and) τῷ (to the) Ἀρνίῳ (Lamb), ἡ (-) εὐλογία (blessing) καὶ (and) ἡ (-) τιμὴ (honor) καὶ (and) ἡ (-) δόξα (glory) καὶ (and) τὸ (-) κράτος (might) εἰς (to) τοὺς (the) αἰῶνας (ages) τῶν (of the) αἰώνων (ages).” ¹⁴ Καὶ (And) τὰ (the) τέσσαρα (four) ζῷα (living creatures) ἔλεγον (kept saying), “Ἀμήν (Amen).” καὶ (And) οἱ (the) πρεσβύτεροι (elders) ἔπεσαν (fell down) καὶ (and) προσεκύνησαν (worshiped).
