¹⁷ Καὶ (And) εἶπεν (He said) αὐτῷ (to him), ‘Εὖγε (Well done), ἀγαθὲ (good) δοῦλε (servant)! ὅτι (Because) ἐν (in) ἐλαχίστῳ (very little), πιστὸς (faithful) ἐγένου (you were), ἴσθι (to be) ἐξουσίαν (having authority) ἔχων (you are) ἐπάνω (over) δέκα (ten) πόλεων (cities).’

²¹ Ἔφη (Said) αὐτῷ (to him) ὁ (the) κύριος (master) αὐτοῦ (of Him), ‘Εὖ (Well done), δοῦλε (servant) ἀγαθὲ (good) καὶ (and) πιστέ (faithful)! ἐπὶ (Over) ὀλίγα (a few things) ἦς (you were) πιστός (faithful); ἐπὶ (over) πολλῶν (many things) σε (you) καταστήσω (will I set). εἴσελθε (Enter) εἰς (into) τὴν (the) χαρὰν (joy) τοῦ (of the) κυρίου (master) σου (of you)!’

¹⁰ Ὁ (The one) πιστὸς (faithful) ἐν (with) ἐλαχίστῳ (very little), καὶ (also) ἐν (with) πολλῷ (much) πιστός (faithful) ἐστιν (is); καὶ (and) ὁ (the one) ἐν (with) ἐλαχίστῳ (very little) ἄδικος (unrighteous), καὶ (also) ἐν (with) πολλῷ (much) ἄδικός (unrighteous) ἐστιν (is).

³⁰ ἵνα (so that) ἔσθητε (you may eat) καὶ (and) πίνητε (may drink) ἐπὶ (at) τῆς (the) τραπέζης (table) μου (of Me) ἐν (in) τῇ (the) βασιλείᾳ (kingdom) μου (of Me), καὶ (and) καθήσεσθε (may sit) ἐπὶ (on) θρόνων (thrones), τὰς (the) δώδεκα (twelve) φυλὰς (tribes) κρίνοντες (judging) τοῦ (of) Ἰσραήλ (Israel).

²⁹ ἀλλ’ (but) ὁ (he who is) ἐν (on) τῷ (the) κρυπτῷ (inward) Ἰουδαῖος (a Jew is one); καὶ (and) περιτομὴ (circumcision is) καρδίας (of heart), ἐν (in) πνεύματι (spirit), οὐ (not) γράμματι (in letter); οὗ (of whom) ὁ (the) ἔπαινος (praise) οὐκ (is not) ἐξ (of) ἀνθρώπων (men), ἀλλ’ (but) ἐκ (of) τοῦ (-) Θεοῦ (God).

⁵ Ὥστε (So then), μὴ (not) πρὸ (before the) καιροῦ (time) τι (anything) κρίνετε (judge), ἕως (until) ἂν (-) ἔλθῃ (shall have come) ὁ (the) Κύριος (Lord), ὃς (who) καὶ (both) φωτίσει (will bring to light) τὰ (the) κρυπτὰ (hidden things) τοῦ (-) σκότους (of darkness), καὶ (and) φανερώσει (will make manifest) τὰς (the) βουλὰς (motives) τῶν (of the) καρδιῶν (hearts); καὶ (and) τότε (then) ὁ (the) ἔπαινος (praise) γενήσεται (will come) ἑκάστῳ (to each) ἀπὸ (from) τοῦ (-) Θεοῦ (God).

¹⁰ διὰ (Because of) τοῦτο (this), πάντα (all things) ὑπομένω (I endure) διὰ (for the sake of) τοὺς (the) ἐκλεκτούς (elect), ἵνα (so that) καὶ (also) αὐτοὶ (they) σωτηρίας (the salvation) τύχωσιν (may obtain) τῆς (that is) ἐν (in) Χριστῷ (Christ) Ἰησοῦ (Jesus), μετὰ (with) δόξης (glory) αἰωνίου (eternal).

⁷ ἵνα (so that) τὸ (the) δοκίμιον (proven genuineness) ὑμῶν (of your) τῆς (-) πίστεως (faith), πολυτιμότερον (more precious) χρυσίου (than gold), τοῦ (-) ἀπολλυμένου (perishing), διὰ (by) πυρὸς (fire) δὲ (though) δοκιμαζομένου (being refined), εὑρεθῇ (may be discovered) εἰς (to result in) ἔπαινον (praise) καὶ (and) δόξαν (glory) καὶ (and) τιμὴν (honor) ἐν (in) ἀποκαλύψει (the revelation) Ἰησοῦ (of Jesus) Χριστοῦ (Christ),

⁴ καὶ (And) φανερωθέντος (having been revealed) τοῦ (the) Ἀρχιποίμενος (Chief Shepherd), κομιεῖσθε (you will receive) τὸν (the) ἀμαράντινον (unfading) τῆς (-) δόξης (of glory) στέφανον (crown).

²⁶ Καὶ (And) ὁ (the one) νικῶν (overcoming) καὶ (and) ὁ (-) τηρῶν (keeping) ἄχρι (until) τέλους (the end) τὰ (the) ἔργα (works) μου (of Me), δώσω (I will give) αὐτῷ (to him) ἐξουσίαν (authority) ἐπὶ (over) τῶν (the) ἐθνῶν (nations), ²⁷ καὶ (and) ποιμανεῖ (he will shepherd) αὐτοὺς (them) ἐν (with) ῥάβδῳ (a rod) σιδηρᾷ (of iron), ὡς (as) τὰ (the) σκεύη (vessels of) τὰ (the) κεραμικὰ (potter) συντρίβεται (are broken in pieces), — ὡς (just as) κἀγὼ (I also) εἴληφα (have received) παρὰ (from) τοῦ (the) Πατρός (Father) μου (of Me). ²⁸ καὶ (And) δώσω (I will give) αὐτῷ (to him) τὸν (the) ἀστέρα (star) τὸν (-) πρωϊνόν (morning). ²⁹ Ὁ (The one) ἔχων (having) οὖς (an ear), ἀκουσάτω (let him hear) τί (what) τὸ (the) Πνεῦμα (Spirit) λέγει (says) ταῖς (to the) ἐκκλησίαις (churches).
