⁶¹ καὶ (And) στραφεὶς (having turned), ὁ (the) Κύριος (Lord) ἐνέβλεψεν (looked at) τῷ (-) Πέτρῳ (Peter), καὶ (and) ὑπεμνήσθη (remembered) ὁ (-) Πέτρος (Peter) τοῦ (the) λόγου (word) τοῦ (of the) Κυρίου (Lord), ὡς (how) εἶπεν (He had said) αὐτῷ (to him) ὅτι (-), “Πρὶν (Before) ἀλέκτορα (the rooster) φωνῆσαι (crows) σήμερον (today), ἀπαρνήσῃ (you will deny) με (Me) τρίς (three times).”

³⁴ Ἔφη (Said) αὐτῷ (to him) ὁ (-) Ἰησοῦς (Jesus), “Ἀμὴν (Truly) λέγω (I say) σοι (to you) ὅτι (that) ἐν (during) ταύτῃ (this) τῇ (-) νυκτὶ (night), πρὶν (before the) ἀλέκτορα (rooster) φωνῆσαι (crowing), τρὶς (three times) ἀπαρνήσῃ (you will deny) με (Me).”

⁷⁵ Καὶ (And) ἐμνήσθη (remembered) ὁ (-) Πέτρος (Peter) τοῦ (the) ῥήματος (word) Ἰησοῦ (of Jesus), εἰρηκότος (He having said) ὅτι (-), “Πρὶν (Before the) ἀλέκτορα (rooster) φωνῆσαι (crowing), τρὶς (three times) ἀπαρνήσῃ (you will deny) με (Me).” καὶ (And) ἐξελθὼν (having gone) ἔξω (out), ἔκλαυσεν (he wept) πικρῶς (bitterly).

³⁰ Καὶ (And) εὐθὺς (immediately) ὁ (-) Ἰησοῦς (Jesus), ἐπιγνοὺς (having known) ἐν (in) ἑαυτῷ (Himself) τὴν (the) ἐξ (out of) αὐτοῦ (Him) δύναμιν (power) ἐξελθοῦσαν (having gone forth), ἐπιστραφεὶς (having turned) ἐν (in) τῷ (the) ὄχλῳ (crowd), ἔλεγεν (said), “Τίς (Who) μου (of Me) ἥψατο (touched) τῶν (the) ἱματίων (garments)?”

¹³ καὶ (And) ἰδὼν (having seen) αὐτὴν (her), ὁ (the) Κύριος (Lord) ἐσπλαγχνίσθη (was moved with compassion) ἐπ’ (on) αὐτῇ (her), καὶ (and) εἶπεν (said) αὐτῇ (to her), “Μὴ (Not) κλαῖε (weep).”

⁴¹ Ἀποκριθεὶς (Answering) δὲ (now), εἶπεν (said) αὐτῇ (to her) ὁ (the) Κύριος (Lord), “Μάρθα (Martha), Μάρθα (Martha), μεριμνᾷς (you are anxious) καὶ (and) θορυβάζῃ (troubled) περὶ (about) πολλά (many things);

³⁴ Ὁ (-) δὲ (And) εἶπεν (He said), “Λέγω (I tell) σοι (you) Πέτρε (Peter), οὐ (not) φωνήσει (will crow) σήμερον (today) ἀλέκτωρ (the rooster), ἕως (until) τρίς (three times) με (Me) ἀπαρνήσῃ (you will deny) 〈μὴ〉 (not) εἰδέναι (knowing).”

³⁸ Ἀποκρίνεται (Answered) Ἰησοῦς (Jesus), “Τὴν (The) ψυχήν (life) σου (of you) ὑπὲρ (for) ἐμοῦ (Me) θήσεις (will you lay down)? ἀμὴν (Truly), ἀμὴν (truly), λέγω (I say) σοι (to you), οὐ (no) μὴ (not) ἀλέκτωρ (the rooster) φωνήσῃ (will crow), ἕως (until) οὗ (that) ἀρνήσῃ (you will deny) με (Me) τρίς (three times).

³¹ τοῦτον (Him) ὁ (-) Θεὸς (God) Ἀρχηγὸν (as Prince) καὶ (and) Σωτῆρα (Savior) ὕψωσεν (exalted) τῇ (by the) δεξιᾷ (right hand) αὐτοῦ (of Him), τοῦ (-) δοῦναι (to give) μετάνοιαν (repentance) τῷ (-) Ἰσραὴλ (to Israel) καὶ (and) ἄφεσιν (forgiveness) ἁμαρτιῶν (of sins).

¹¹ Διὸ (Therefore) μνημονεύετε (remember) ὅτι (that) ποτὲ (formerly) ὑμεῖς (you) τὰ (the) ἔθνη (Gentiles) ἐν (in) σαρκί (the flesh), οἱ (the ones) λεγόμενοι (being called) ἀκροβυστία (the uncircumcision) ὑπὸ (by) τῆς (that) λεγομένης (being called) περιτομῆς (the circumcision), ἐν (in) σαρκὶ (the flesh) χειροποιήτου (made by hands)—

⁵ μνημόνευε (Remember) οὖν (therefore) πόθεν (from where) πέπτωκας* (you have fallen), καὶ (and) μετανόησον (repent), καὶ (and) τὰ (the) πρῶτα (first) ἔργα (works) ποίησον (do). εἰ (If) δὲ (however) μή (not), ἔρχομαί (I am coming) σοι (to you), καὶ (and) κινήσω (I will remove) τὴν (the) λυχνίαν (lampstand) σου (of you) ἐκ (out of) τοῦ (the) τόπου (place) αὐτῆς (of it), ἐὰν (if) μὴ (not) μετανοήσῃς (you should repent).
