⁵⁰ Ἐξήγαγεν (He led) δὲ (now) αὐτοὺς (them) [ἔξω] (out) ἕως (as far as) πρὸς (to) Βηθανίαν (Bethany), καὶ (and) ἐπάρας (having lifted up) τὰς (the) χεῖρας (hands) αὐτοῦ (of Him), εὐλόγησεν (He blessed) αὐτούς (them).

¹⁷ Καὶ (And) καταλιπὼν (having left) αὐτοὺς (them), ἐξῆλθεν (He went) ἔξω (out of) τῆς (the) πόλεως (city) εἰς (to) Βηθανίαν (Bethany), καὶ (and) ηὐλίσθη (He passed the night) ἐκεῖ (there).

¹⁶ καὶ (And) ἐναγκαλισάμενος (having taken them in arms), αὐτὰ (them) κατευλόγει (He was blessing), τιθεὶς (having laid) τὰς (the) χεῖρας (hands) ἐπ’ (on) αὐτά (them).

¹ Καὶ (And) ὅτε (when) ἐγγίζουσιν (they drew near) εἰς (to) Ἱεροσόλυμα (Jerusalem), εἰς (to) Βηθφαγὴ (Bethphage) καὶ (and) Βηθανίαν (Bethany), πρὸς (near) τὸ (the) ὄρος (Mount) τῶν (-) Ἐλαιῶν (of Olives), ἀποστέλλει (He sends) δύο (two) τῶν (of the) μαθητῶν (disciples) αὐτοῦ (of Him)

¹² Τότε (Then) ὑπέστρεψαν (they returned) εἰς (to) Ἰερουσαλὴμ (Jerusalem) ἀπὸ (from) ὄρους (the mount) τοῦ (-) καλουμένου (called) Ἐλαιῶνος (Olivet), ὅ (which) ἐστιν (is) ἐγγὺς (near) Ἰερουσαλὴμ (Jerusalem), σαββάτου (a Sabbath day’s) ἔχον (holding) ὁδόν (journey).

⁵ καὶ (And) οἱ (those) μὲν (indeed), ἐκ (out from) τῶν (the) υἱῶν (sons) Λευὶ (of Levi), τὴν (the) ἱερατείαν (priestly office) λαμβάνοντες (receiving), ἐντολὴν (a commandment) ἔχουσιν (have) ἀποδεκατοῦν (to take a tenth) τὸν (from the) λαὸν (people) κατὰ (according to) τὸν (the) νόμον (law), τοῦτ’ (that) ἔστιν (is), τοὺς (from the) ἀδελφοὺς (brothers) αὐτῶν (of them), καίπερ (though) ἐξεληλυθότας (having come) ἐκ (out of) τῆς (the) ὀσφύος (loin) Ἀβραάμ (of Abraham). ⁶ ὁ (The one) δὲ (however) μὴ (not) γενεαλογούμενος (tracing his ancestry) ἐξ (from) αὐτῶν (them) δεδεκάτωκεν (has collected a tenth) Ἀβραάμ (from Abraham), καὶ (and) τὸν (the one) ἔχοντα (having) τὰς (the) ἐπαγγελίας (promises) εὐλόγηκεν (has blessed). ⁷ χωρὶς (Apart from) δὲ (now) πάσης (all) ἀντιλογίας (dispute), τὸ (the) ἔλαττον (inferior) ὑπὸ (by) τοῦ (the) κρείττονος (superior) εὐλογεῖται (is blessed).
