³⁷ Οἱ (-) δὲ (And) εἶπαν (they said) αὐτῷ (to Him), “Δὸς (Grant) ἡμῖν (to us) ἵνα (that) εἷς (one) σου (of us) ἐκ (at) δεξιῶν (Your right hand), καὶ (and) εἷς (one) ἐξ (at) ἀριστερῶν (Your left hand), καθίσωμεν (we might sit) ἐν (in) τῇ (the) δόξῃ (glory) σου (of You).”

²⁸ Ὁ (-) δὲ (And) Ἰησοῦς (Jesus) εἶπεν (said) αὐτοῖς (to them), “Ἀμὴν (Truly) λέγω (I say) ὑμῖν (to you) ὅτι (that) ὑμεῖς (you) οἱ (-) ἀκολουθήσαντές (having followed) μοι (Me), ἐν (in) τῇ (the) παλινγενεσίᾳ (regeneration), ὅταν (when) καθίσῃ (shall sit down) ὁ (the) Υἱὸς (Son) τοῦ (-) ἀνθρώπου (of Man) ἐπὶ (upon) θρόνου (the throne) δόξης (of glory) αὐτοῦ (of Him), καθήσεσθε (will sit) καὶ (also) ὑμεῖς* (you) ἐπὶ (on) δώδεκα (twelve) θρόνους (thrones), κρίνοντες (judging) τὰς (the) δώδεκα (twelve) φυλὰς (tribes) τοῦ (-) Ἰσραήλ (of Israel).

³¹ Ὅταν (When) δὲ (then) ἔλθῃ (comes) ὁ (the) υἱὸς (Son) τοῦ (-) ἀνθρώπου (of Man) ἐν (in) τῇ (the) δόξῃ (glory) αὐτοῦ (of Him), καὶ (and) πάντες (all) οἱ (the) ἄγγελοι (angels) μετ’ (with) αὐτοῦ (Him), τότε (then) καθίσει (He will sit) ἐπὶ (upon the) θρόνου (throne) δόξης (of glory) αὐτοῦ (of Him).

³⁸ ὃς (Whoever) γὰρ (for) ἐὰν (if) ἐπαισχυνθῇ (may be ashamed of) με (Me) καὶ (and) τοὺς (-) ἐμοὺς (My) λόγους (words) ἐν (in) τῇ (the) γενεᾷ (generation) ταύτῃ (this) τῇ (-) μοιχαλίδι (adulterous) καὶ (and) ἁμαρτωλῷ (sinful), καὶ (also) ὁ (the) Υἱὸς (Son) τοῦ (-) ἀνθρώπου (of Man) ἐπαισχυνθήσεται (will be ashamed of) αὐτὸν (him) ὅταν (when) ἔλθῃ (He shall come) ἐν (in) τῇ (the) δόξῃ (glory) τοῦ (of the) Πατρὸς (Father) αὐτοῦ (of Him), μετὰ (with) τῶν (the) ἀγγέλων (angels) τῶν (-) ἁγίων (holy).”

¹⁹ Ὁ (-) μὲν (Indeed) οὖν (therefore) Κύριος (the Lord) Ἰησοῦς (Jesus), μετὰ (after) τὸ (-) λαλῆσαι (speaking) αὐτοῖς (to them), ἀνελήμφθη (was taken up) εἰς (into) τὸν (the) οὐρανὸν (heaven) καὶ (and) ἐκάθισεν (sat) ἐκ (at the) δεξιῶν (right hand) τοῦ (-) Θεοῦ (of God).

²⁶ οὐχὶ (Not) ταῦτα (these things) ἔδει (was it necessary for) παθεῖν (to suffer) τὸν (the) Χριστὸν (Christ) καὶ (and) εἰσελθεῖν (to enter) εἰς (into) τὴν (the) δόξαν (glory) αὐτοῦ (of Him)?”
