¹³ Καὶ (And) ἐπέτρεψεν (He allowed) αὐτοῖς (them). καὶ (And) ἐξελθόντα (having gone out), τὰ (the) πνεύματα (spirits) τὰ (-) ἀκάθαρτα (unclean) εἰσῆλθον (entered) εἰς (into) τοὺς (the) χοίρους (pigs), καὶ (and) ὥρμησεν (rushed) ἡ (the) ἀγέλη (herd) κατὰ (down) τοῦ (the) κρημνοῦ (steep bank) εἰς (into) τὴν (the) θάλασσαν (sea), ὡς (about) δισχίλιοι (two thousand), καὶ (and) ἐπνίγοντο (they were drowned) ἐν (in) τῇ (the) θαλάσσῃ (sea).

³² Καὶ (And) εἶπεν (He said) αὐτοῖς (to them), “Ὑπάγετε (Go).” οἱ (-) δὲ (And) ἐξελθόντες (having gone out) ἀπῆλθον (they went away) εἰς (into) τοὺς (the) χοίρους (pigs); καὶ (and) ἰδοὺ (behold), ὥρμησεν (rushed) πᾶσα (all) ἡ (the) ἀγέλη (herd) κατὰ (down) τοῦ (the) κρημνοῦ (steep bank) εἰς (into) τὴν (the) θάλασσαν (sea), καὶ (and) ἀπέθανον (perished) ἐν (in) τοῖς (the) ὕδασιν (waters).

⁴⁴ ὑμεῖς (You) ἐκ (of) τοῦ (the) πατρὸς (father) τοῦ (the) διαβόλου (devil) ἐστὲ (are), καὶ (and) τὰς (the) ἐπιθυμίας (desires) τοῦ (of) πατρὸς (father) ὑμῶν (of you), θέλετε (you desire) ποιεῖν (to do). ἐκεῖνος (He) ἀνθρωποκτόνος (a murderer) ἦν (was) ἀπ’ (from) ἀρχῆς (the beginning), καὶ (and) ἐν (in) τῇ (the) ἀληθείᾳ (truth) οὐκ (not) ἔστηκεν (has stood), ὅτι (because) οὐκ (not) ἔστιν (there is) ἀλήθεια (truth) ἐν (in) αὐτῷ (him). ὅταν (Whenever) λαλῇ (he might speak) τὸ (-) ψεῦδος (falsehood), ἐκ (from) τῶν (the) ἰδίων (own) λαλεῖ (he speaks); ὅτι (for) ψεύστης (a liar) ἐστὶν (he is), καὶ (and) ὁ (the) πατὴρ (father) αὐτοῦ (of it).

²² ὅς (who) ἐστιν (is) ἐν (at) δεξιᾷ (the right hand) [τοῦ] (-) Θεοῦ (of God), πορευθεὶς (having gone) εἰς (into) οὐρανόν (heaven), ὑποταγέντων (having been subjected) αὐτῷ (to Him) ἀγγέλων (angels) καὶ (and) ἐξουσιῶν (authorities) καὶ (and) δυνάμεων (powers).

¹¹ ἔχουσιν (They have) ἐπ’ (over) αὐτῶν (them) βασιλέα (a king), τὸν (the) ἄγγελον (angel) τῆς (of the) ἀβύσσου (abyss). ὄνομα (The name) αὐτῷ (of Him) Ἑβραϊστί (in Hebrew) Ἀβαδδών (is Abaddon), καὶ (and) ἐν (in) τῇ (the) Ἑλληνικῇ (Greek), ὄνομα (the name) ἔχει (he has) Ἀπολλύων (Apollyon).

⁵ Καὶ (And) ἐδόθη (was given) αὐτῷ (to it) στόμα (a mouth) λαλοῦν (speaking) μεγάλα (great things) καὶ (and) βλασφημίας (blasphemy); καὶ (and) ἐδόθη (was given) αὐτῷ (to it) ἐξουσία (authority) ποιῆσαι (to act) μῆνας (months) τεσσεράκοντα (forty) [καὶ] (and) δύο (two). ⁶ καὶ (And) ἤνοιξεν (it opened) τὸ (the) στόμα (mouth) αὐτοῦ (of it) εἰς (unto) βλασφημίας (blasphemies) πρὸς (against) τὸν (-) Θεόν (God), βλασφημῆσαι (to blaspheme) τὸ (the) ὄνομα (name) αὐτοῦ (of Him), καὶ (and) τὴν (the) σκηνὴν (tabernacle) αὐτοῦ (of Him), τοὺς (those) ἐν (in) τῷ (-) οὐρανῷ (heaven) σκηνοῦντας (dwelling). ⁷ Καὶ (And) ἐδόθη (there was given) αὐτῷ (to it) ποιῆσαι (to make) πόλεμον (war) μετὰ (with) τῶν (the) ἁγίων (saints), καὶ (and) νικῆσαι (to overcome) αὐτούς (them). καὶ (And) ἐδόθη (was given) αὐτῷ (to it) ἐξουσία (authority) ἐπὶ (over) πᾶσαν (every) φυλὴν (tribe) καὶ (and) λαὸν (people) καὶ (and) γλῶσσαν (tongue) καὶ (and) ἔθνος (nation).

⁷ Καὶ (And) ὅταν (when) τελεσθῇ (shall have been completed) τὰ (the) χίλια (thousand) ἔτη (years), λυθήσεται (will be released) ὁ (-) Σατανᾶς (Satan) ἐκ (out of) τῆς (the) φυλακῆς (prison) αὐτοῦ (of him),
