²² πολλοὶ (Many) ἐροῦσίν (will say) μοι (to Me) ἐν (in) ἐκείνῃ (that) τῇ (the) ἡμέρᾳ (day), ‘Κύριε (Lord), Κύριε (Lord), οὐ (not) τῷ (in) σῷ (Your) ὀνόματι (name) ἐπροφητεύσαμεν (did we prophesy), καὶ (and) τῷ (in) σῷ (Your) ὀνόματι (name) δαιμόνια (demons) ἐξεβάλομεν (cast out), καὶ (and) τῷ (in) σῷ (your) ὀνόματι (name) δυνάμεις (miracles) πολλὰς (many) ἐποιήσαμεν (perform)?’ ²³ καὶ (And) τότε (then) ὁμολογήσω (I will declare) αὐτοῖς (to them) ὅτι (-), ‘Οὐδέποτε (Never) ἔγνων (knew I) ὑμᾶς (you); ἀποχωρεῖτε (depart you) ἀπ’ (from) ἐμοῦ (Me), οἱ (those) ἐργαζόμενοι (working) τὴν (-) ἀνομίαν (lawlessness).’

²⁰ Καὶ (And) λέγει (says) αὐτῷ (to him) ὁ (-) Ἰησοῦς (Jesus), “Αἱ (-) ἀλώπεκες (Foxes) φωλεοὺς (holes) ἔχουσιν (have), καὶ (and) τὰ (the) πετεινὰ (birds) τοῦ (of the) οὐρανοῦ (air) κατασκηνώσεις (nests); ὁ (-) δὲ (but) Υἱὸς (the Son) τοῦ (-) ἀνθρώπου (of Man), οὐκ (no) ἔχει (has) ποῦ (place where) τὴν (the) κεφαλὴν (head) κλίνῃ (He might lay).”

⁴⁹ Οὕτως (Thus) ἔσται (will it be) ἐν (in) τῇ (the) συντελείᾳ (consummation) τοῦ (of the) αἰῶνος (age); ἐξελεύσονται (will go out) οἱ (the) ἄγγελοι (angels), καὶ (and) ἀφοριοῦσιν (will separate) τοὺς (the) πονηροὺς (evil) ἐκ (from) μέσου (the midst) τῶν (of the) δικαίων (righteous),

⁷ Οὐαὶ (Woe) τῷ (to the) κόσμῳ (world) ἀπὸ (because of) τῶν (the) σκανδάλων (causes of sin). ἀνάγκη (Necessary are) γὰρ (for) ἐλθεῖν (to come) τὰ (the) σκάνδαλα (stumbling blocks), πλὴν (but) οὐαὶ (woe) τῷ (to the) ἀνθρώπῳ (man) δι’ (by) οὗ (whom) τὸ (the) σκάνδαλον (offense) ἔρχεται (comes)!

³¹ καὶ (And) ἀποστελεῖ (He will send) τοὺς (the) ἀγγέλους (angels) αὐτοῦ (of Him) μετὰ (with) σάλπιγγος (a trumpet call) μεγάλης (great), καὶ (and) ἐπισυνάξουσιν (they will gather together) τοὺς (the) ἐκλεκτοὺς (elect) αὐτοῦ (of Him), ἐκ (from) τῶν (the) τεσσάρων (four) ἀνέμων (winds), ἀπ’ (from) ἄκρων (the ends) οὐρανῶν (of the heavens) ἕως (to) ‹τῶν› (the) ἄκρων (ends) αὐτῶν (of them).

²⁷ καὶ (And) τότε (then) ἀποστελεῖ (He will send) τοὺς (the) ἀγγέλους (angels), καὶ (and) ἐπισυνάξει (will gather together) τοὺς (the) ἐκλεκτοὺς (elect) αὐτοῦ (of Him), ἐκ (from) τῶν (the) τεσσάρων (four) ἀνέμων (winds), ἀπ’ (from the) ἄκρου (end) γῆς (of earth) ἕως (to the) ἄκρου (end) οὐρανοῦ (of heaven).

²⁶ Τότε (Then) ἄρξεσθε (will you begin) λέγειν (to say), ‘Ἐφάγομεν (We ate) ἐνώπιόν (in presence) σου (of you) καὶ (and) ἐπίομεν (drank), καὶ (and) ἐν (in) ταῖς (the) πλατείαις (streets) ἡμῶν (of us) ἐδίδαξας (you taught).’ ²⁷ Καὶ (And) ἐρεῖ (he will say), ‘Λέγων (I tell) ὑμῖν (you), Οὐκ (not) οἶδα (I do know) [ὑμᾶς] (you) πόθεν (from where) ἐστέ (you are); ἀπόστητε (depart) ἀπ’ (from) ἐμοῦ (me), πάντες (all you) ἐργάται (workers) ἀδικίας (of unrighteousness).’

⁸ τοῖς (to those) δὲ (however) ἐξ (of) ἐριθείας (self-interest) καὶ (and) ἀπειθοῦσι (disobeying) τῇ (the) ἀληθείᾳ (truth), πειθομένοις (being persuaded about) δὲ (however) τῇ (-) ἀδικίᾳ (unrighteousness), ὀργὴ (wrath) καὶ (and) θυμός (anger); ⁹ θλῖψις (tribulation) καὶ (and) στενοχωρία (distress) ἐπὶ (upon) πᾶσαν (every) ψυχὴν (soul) ἀνθρώπου (of man) τοῦ (-) κατεργαζομένου (working) τὸ (-) κακόν (evil), Ἰουδαίου (of Jewish) τε (both) πρῶτον (first), καὶ (and also) Ἕλληνος (of Greek);

¹⁶ ἐν (on) 〈ᾗ〉 (that) ἡμέρᾳ (day) ‹ὅτε› (when) κρίνει (will judge) ὁ (-) Θεὸς (God) τὰ (the) κρυπτὰ (secrets) τῶν (-) ἀνθρώπων (of men), κατὰ (according to) τὸ (the) εὐαγγέλιόν (gospel) μου (of me), διὰ (by) Χριστοῦ (Christ) Ἰησοῦ (Jesus).

¹⁷ Παρακαλῶ (I exhort) δὲ (now) ὑμᾶς (you), ἀδελφοί (brothers), σκοπεῖν (to watch out for) τοὺς (those) τὰς (-) διχοστασίας (divisions) καὶ (and) τὰ (-) σκάνδαλα (obstacles) παρὰ (contrary to) τὴν (the) διδαχὴν (teaching) ἣν (that) ὑμεῖς (you) ἐμάθετε (have learned) ποιοῦντας (causing), καὶ (and) ἐκκλίνετε (turn away) ἀπ’ (from) αὐτῶν (them). ¹⁸ οἱ (-) γὰρ (For) τοιοῦτοι (such) τῷ (the) Κυρίῳ (Lord) ἡμῶν (of us) Χριστῷ (Christ) οὐ (not) δουλεύουσιν (serve), ἀλλὰ (but) τῇ (the) ἑαυτῶν (of themselves) κοιλίᾳ (belly); καὶ (and) διὰ (by) τῆς (-) χρηστολογίας (smooth talk) καὶ (and) εὐλογίας (flattery) ἐξαπατῶσιν (they deceive) τὰς (the) καρδίας (hearts) τῶν (of the) ἀκάκων (naive).

⁶ Ὅταν (When) δὲ (then) πάλιν (again) εἰσαγάγῃ (He brings) τὸν (the) πρωτότοκον (Firstborn) εἰς (into) τὴν (the) οἰκουμένην (world), λέγει (He says): “Καὶ (And) προσκυνησάτωσαν (let worship) αὐτῷ (Him) πάντες (all) ἄγγελοι (the angels) Θεοῦ (of God).” ⁷ Καὶ (And) πρὸς (as to) μὲν (indeed) τοὺς (the) ἀγγέλους (angels) λέγει (He says): “Ὁ (The One) ποιῶν (making) τοὺς (the) ἀγγέλους (angels) αὐτοῦ (of Him) πνεύματα (winds), καὶ (and) τοὺς (the) λειτουργοὺς (ministers) αὐτοῦ (of Him), πυρὸς (of fire) φλόγα (a flame).”

¹⁴ Οὐχὶ (Not) πάντες (all) εἰσὶν (are they) λειτουργικὰ (ministering) πνεύματα (spirits), εἰς (for) διακονίαν (service) ἀποστελλόμενα (being sent forth), διὰ (for the sake of) τοὺς (those) μέλλοντας (being about) κληρονομεῖν (to inherit) σωτηρίαν (salvation)?

¹ Ἐγένοντο (There were) δὲ (however) καὶ (also) ψευδοπροφῆται (false prophets) ἐν (among) τῷ (the) λαῷ (people), ὡς (as) καὶ (also) ἐν (among) ὑμῖν (you) ἔσονται (there will be) ψευδοδιδάσκαλοι (false teachers), οἵτινες (who) παρεισάξουσιν (will stealthily introduce) αἱρέσεις (heresies) ἀπωλείας (destructive), καὶ (even) τὸν (the) ἀγοράσαντα (having bought) αὐτοὺς (them) δεσπότην (Master) ἀρνούμενοι (denying), ἐπάγοντες (bringing upon) ἑαυτοῖς (themselves) ταχινὴν (swift) ἀπώλειαν (destruction). ² καὶ (And) πολλοὶ (many) ἐξακολουθήσουσιν (will follow after) αὐτῶν (their) ταῖς (-) ἀσελγείαις (sensuality), δι’ (through) οὓς (whom) ἡ (the) ὁδὸς (way) τῆς (of the) ἀληθείας (truth) βλασφημηθήσεται (will be maligned).

¹¹ Καὶ (And) εἶδον (I looked), καὶ (and) ἤκουσα (I heard) φωνὴν (the voice) ἀγγέλων (of angels) πολλῶν (many) κύκλῳ (around) τοῦ (the) θρόνου (throne), καὶ (and) τῶν (of the) ζῴων (living creatures), καὶ (and) τῶν (of the) πρεσβυτέρων (elders); καὶ (and) ἦν (was) ὁ (the) ἀριθμὸς (number) αὐτῶν (of them) μυριάδες (myriads) μυριάδων (of myriads) καὶ (and) χιλιάδες (thousands) χιλιάδων (of thousands), ¹² λέγοντες (saying) φωνῇ (in a voice) μεγάλῃ (loud): “Ἄξιόν* (Worthy) ἐστιν (is) τὸ (the) Ἀρνίον (Lamb) τὸ (-) ἐσφαγμένον (having been slain), λαβεῖν (to receive) τὴν (the) δύναμιν (power) καὶ (and) πλοῦτον (riches) καὶ (and) σοφίαν (wisdom) καὶ (and) ἰσχὺν (strength) καὶ (and) τιμὴν (honor) καὶ (and) δόξαν (glory) καὶ (and) εὐλογίαν (blessing)!”

²⁷ καὶ (And) οὐ (no) μὴ (not) εἰσέλθῃ (shall enter) εἰς (into) αὐτὴν (it) πᾶν (anything) κοινὸν (defiling), καὶ (and) ὁ (those) ποιῶν (practicing) βδέλυγμα (abomination) καὶ (and) ψεῦδος (a lie), εἰ (if) μὴ (not) οἱ (those) γεγραμμένοι (having been written) ἐν (in) τῷ (the) βιβλίῳ (book) τῆς (-) ζωῆς (of life) τοῦ (of the) Ἀρνίου (Lamb).
