²² καὶ (And) πάντα (all things) ὅσα (as many as) ἂν (-) αἰτήσητε (you might ask) ἐν (in) τῇ (-) προσευχῇ (prayer), πιστεύοντες (believing), λήμψεσθε (you will receive).”

⁷ Αἰτεῖτε (Ask) καὶ (and) δοθήσεται (it will be given) ὑμῖν (to you); ζητεῖτε (seek) καὶ (and) εὑρήσετε (you will find); κρούετε (knock) καὶ (and) ἀνοιγήσεται (it will be opened) ὑμῖν (to you).

¹¹ εἰ (If) οὖν (therefore) ὑμεῖς (you), πονηροὶ (evil) ὄντες (being), οἴδατε (know) δόματα (gifts) ἀγαθὰ (good) διδόναι (to give) τοῖς (to the) τέκνοις (children) ὑμῶν (of you), πόσῳ (how much) μᾶλλον (more) ὁ (the) Πατὴρ (Father) ὑμῶν (of you) ὁ (who is) ἐν (in) τοῖς (the) οὐρανοῖς (heavens) δώσει (will give) ἀγαθὰ (good things) τοῖς (to those) αἰτοῦσιν (asking) αὐτόν (Him)!

¹⁹ Πάλιν (Again) ἀμὴν (truly) λέγω (I say) ὑμῖν (to you) ὅτι (that) ἐὰν (if) δύο (two) συμφωνήσωσιν (might agree) ἐξ (of) ὑμῶν (you) ἐπὶ (on) τῆς (the) γῆς (earth) περὶ (concerning) παντὸς (any) πράγματος (matter), οὗ (that) ἐὰν (if) αἰτήσωνται (they shall ask), γενήσεται (it will be done) αὐτοῖς (for them) παρὰ (by) τοῦ (the) Πατρός (Father) μου (of Me) τοῦ (who is) ἐν (in) οὐρανοῖς (the heavens).

²⁴ διὰ (Because of) τοῦτο (this) λέγω (I say) ὑμῖν (to you), πάντα (all things) ὅσα (whatever) προσεύχεσθε (praying), καὶ (also) αἰτεῖσθε (you ask), πιστεύετε (believe) ὅτι (that) ἐλάβετε (you receive), καὶ (and) ἔσται (it will be) ὑμῖν (to you).

⁸ Λέγω (I say) ὑμῖν (to you), εἰ (if) καὶ (even) οὐ (not) δώσει (he will give) αὐτῷ (to him), ἀναστὰς (having risen up), διὰ (because of) τὸ (-) εἶναι (being) φίλον (friend) αὐτοῦ (of him), διά (because of) γε (yet) τὴν (the) ἀναίδειαν (persistence) αὐτοῦ (of him), ἐγερθεὶς (having risen) δώσει (he will give) αὐτῷ (him) ὅσων (as much as) χρῄζει (he needs). ⁹ Κἀγὼ (And I) ὑμῖν (to you) λέγω (say), αἰτεῖτε (ask) καὶ (and) δοθήσεται (it will be given) ὑμῖν (to you); ζητεῖτε (seek) καὶ (and) εὑρήσετε (you will find); κρούετε (knock) καὶ (and) ἀνοιγήσεται (it will be opened) ὑμῖν (to you). ¹⁰ πᾶς (Everyone) γὰρ (for) ὁ (-) αἰτῶν (asking) λαμβάνει (receives); καὶ (and) ὁ (the one) ζητῶν (seeking) εὑρίσκει (finds); καὶ (and) τῷ (to the one) κρούοντι (knocking), ἀνοιγήσεται (it will be opened).

¹³ καὶ (And) ὅ¦τι (whatever) ἂν (-) αἰτήσητε (you might ask) ἐν (in) τῷ (the) ὀνόματί (name) μου (of Me), τοῦτο (this) ποιήσω (will I do), ἵνα (so that) δοξασθῇ (may be glorified) ὁ (the) Πατὴρ (Father) ἐν (in) τῷ (the) Υἱῷ (Son).

⁷ ἐὰν (If) μείνητε (you abide) ἐν (in) ἐμοὶ (Me) καὶ (and) τὰ (the) ῥήματά (words) μου (of Me) ἐν (in) ὑμῖν (you) μείνῃ (abide), ὃ (whatever) ἐὰν (if) θέλητε (you wish), αἰτήσασθε (you shall ask), καὶ (and) γενήσεται (it will come to pass) ὑμῖν (to you).

²⁴ ἕως (Until) ἄρτι (now) οὐκ (not) ᾐτήσατε (you have asked) οὐδὲν (nothing) ἐν (in) τῷ (the) ὀνόματί (name) μου (of Me). αἰτεῖτε (Ask) καὶ (and) λήμψεσθε (you will receive), ἵνα (that) ἡ (the) χαρὰ (joy) ὑμῶν (of you) ᾖ (may be) πεπληρωμένη (full).

¹⁶ Ἐξομολογεῖσθε (Confess) οὖν (therefore) ἀλλήλοις (to one another) τὰς (the) ἁμαρτίας (sins), καὶ (and) εὔχεσθε* (pray) ὑπὲρ (for) ἀλλήλων (one another), ὅπως (so that) ἰαθῆτε (you may be healed). πολὺ (Much) ἰσχύει (prevails) δέησις (the prayer) δικαίου (of a righteous man) ἐνεργουμένη (being made effective).

²² καὶ (and) ὃ (whatever) ἐὰν (if) αἰτῶμεν (we might ask), λαμβάνομεν (we receive) ἀπ’ (from) αὐτοῦ (Him), ὅτι (because) τὰς (the) ἐντολὰς (commandments) αὐτοῦ (of Him) τηροῦμεν (we keep), καὶ (and) τὰ (the things) ἀρεστὰ (pleasing) ἐνώπιον (before) αὐτοῦ (Him) ποιοῦμεν (we do).

¹⁴ Καὶ (And) αὕτη (this) ἐστὶν (is) ἡ (the) παρρησία (confidence) ἣν (that) ἔχομεν (we have) πρὸς (toward) αὐτόν (Him), ὅτι (that) ἐάν (if) τι (anything) αἰτώμεθα (we might ask) κατὰ (according to) τὸ (the) θέλημα (will) αὐτοῦ (of Him), ἀκούει (He hears) ἡμῶν (us). ¹⁵ καὶ (And) ἐὰν (if) οἴδαμεν (we know) ὅτι (that) ἀκούει (He hears) ἡμῶν (us), ὃ (whatever) ἐὰν (if) αἰτώμεθα (we might ask), οἴδαμεν (we know) ὅτι (that) ἔχομεν (we have) τὰ (the) αἰτήματα (requests) ἃ (that) ᾐτήκαμεν (we have asked) ἀπ’ (from) αὐτοῦ (Him).
