¹ Paul, a called apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and Sosthenes, our brother, ² To the church of God being in Corinth, having been sanctified in Christ Jesus, called holy, together with all those in every place calling on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, both theirs and ours: ³ Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. ⁴ I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God having been given you in Christ Jesus, ⁵ that in everything you have been enriched in Him, in all speech and all knowledge, ⁶ as the testimony about Christ was confirmed in you, ⁷ so as for you not to be lacking in any gift as you eagerly await the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ, ⁸ who also will sustain you to the end, blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. ⁹ God is faithful, by whom you were called into fellowship with His Son Jesus Christ our Lord. ¹⁰ Now I exhort you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and there be no divisions among you, but you may be having been knit together in the same mind and in the same judgment. ¹¹ For it was shown to me concerning you, my brothers, by those of Chloe, that there are quarrels among you. ¹² Now I mean this, that each of you says, “I indeed am of Paul,” and “I of Apollos,” and “I of Cephas,” and “I of Christ.” ¹³ Has Christ been divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized into the name of Paul? ¹⁴ I thank God that I baptized none of you except Crispus and Gaius, ¹⁵ so that no one should say that you were baptized into my name. ¹⁶ Now also I baptized the household of Stephanas; as to the rest, I do not know whether I baptized any other. ¹⁷ For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel; not in wisdom of discourse, so that the cross of the Christ should not be emptied of its power. ¹⁸ For the message of the cross is foolishness to those indeed perishing, but to us being saved it is the power of God. ¹⁹ For it has been written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; and the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.” ²⁰ Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? ²¹ For since in the wisdom of God, the world through its wisdom did not know God, God was pleased through the foolishness of the proclamation to save those believing. ²² Forasmuch as both Jews ask for signs, and Greeks seek wisdom, ²³ we, however, preach Christ having been crucified, a stumbling block indeed to the Jewish and foolishness to Gentiles, ²⁴ but those called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. ²⁵ For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God stronger than men. ²⁶ For consider your calling, brothers, that not many were wise according to the flesh, not many powerful, not many of noble birth. ²⁷ But God has chosen the foolish things of the world that He might shame the wise; and God has chosen the weak things of the world that He might shame the strong; ²⁸ and the low-born of the world, and the things being despised, God also chose—the things not being—that He might annul the things being, ²⁹ so that all flesh may not boast before God. ³⁰ But out of Him, you are in Christ Jesus, who has been made unto us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification and redemption, ³¹ in order that, as it has been written: “The one boasting, let him boast in the Lord.”

¹³ And when it became day, He summoned His disciples, also having chosen out from them twelve, whom also He named apostles:

¹⁶ You did not chose Me, but I chose you and appointed you, that you should go and you should bear fruit, and your fruit should remain, so that whatever you might ask the Father in My name, He may give you.

²¹ Therefore Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you. As the Father has sent Me forth, I also send you.”

² until the day He was taken up, having given orders by the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom He had chosen,

²⁵ to take the place of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas turned aside to go to the own place.” ²⁶ And they gave lots for them, and the lot fell on Matthias, and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.

¹⁷ Then all of them, having seized Sosthenes the ruler of the synagogue, began to beat him before the judgment seat. And it mattered nothing to Gallio about these things.

²¹ And He said to me, ‘Go, for I will send you far away to the Gentiles.’”

¹ Paul, servant of Jesus Christ, a called apostle having been set apart for the gospel of God,

⁵ through whom we have received grace and apostleship unto obedience of faith among all the Gentiles on behalf of His name,

⁹ For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building.

¹⁶ Or do you not know that the one being joined to the prostitute is one body? For it says, “The two will become into one flesh.” ¹⁷ But the one being joined to the Lord is one spirit.

¹ Am I not free? Am I not an apostle? Have I not seen Jesus our Lord? Are you not my work in the Lord? ² If I am not an apostle to others, yet at least I am to you; for you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord.

⁹ For I am the least of the apostles, who am not fit to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

¹² For the signs of the apostle were performed among you in all perseverance, and in signs, and wonders, and miracles.

¹⁵ But when God, the One having selected me from my mother’s womb and having called me by His grace, was pleased ¹⁶ to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I consulted not immediately with flesh and blood,

⁷ But on the contrary, having seen that I have been entrusted with the gospel of the uncircumcision just as Peter of the circumcision— ⁸ for the One having worked in Peter for apostleship of the circumcision, did also in me toward the Gentiles—

²¹ And all those hearing were amazed and were saying, “Is this not the one having ravaged those in Jerusalem calling on this name? And he had come here for this, that he might bring them, having been bound, to the chief priests.”

³⁶ the word that He sent to the sons of Israel, proclaiming the gospel, peace by Jesus Christ—He is Lord of all.

⁹ And He made no distinction between both us and them, having purified their hearts by the faith.

¹ And after these things, having departed from Athens, he came to Corinth.

⁸ And Crispus, the ruler of the synagogue, believed in the Lord, with his all household. And many of the Corinthians hearing believed and were baptized. ⁹ Now the Lord said to Paul through a vision in the night, “Do not fear, but continue speaking, and do not be silent, ¹⁰ because I am with you, and no one will lay a hand on you to harm you, because there are many people to me in this city.” ¹¹ And he remained a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.

¹⁶ And now why do you delay? Having arisen, be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on His name.’

¹⁸ to open their eyes, that they may turn from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those having been sanctified by faith in Me.’

⁷ To all those being in Rome beloved of God, called saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

²² And the righteousness of God is through faith from Jesus Christ toward all those believing. For there is no distinction,

¹² For there is no difference between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord of all is rich toward all those calling Him,

⁸ For both if we should live, we live to the Lord; and if we should die, we die to the Lord. Therefore both if we should live and if we should die, we are the Lord’s. ⁹ For unto this, Christ died and lived again that He might rule over both the dead and living.

³⁰ But out of Him, you are in Christ Jesus, who has been made unto us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification and redemption,

⁹ Or do you not know that the unrighteous ones will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, ¹⁰ nor thieves, nor coveters, not drunkards, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. ¹¹ And some of you were such. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

⁶ yet to us there is one God the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we through Him.

⁵ For we do not proclaim ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord; and ourselves as your servants for the sake of Jesus.

² and all the brothers with me, To the churches of Galatia:

²⁶ so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water by the word,

⁹ Therefore God also highly exalted Him, and granted to Him the name above every name, ¹⁰ that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in the heavens and on earth and under the earth, ¹¹ and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

²⁶ When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who goes forth from the Father, He will bear witness concerning Me.

²³ who having come and having seen the grace of God, rejoiced and was exhorting all to abide in the Lord with resolute purpose of heart.

²⁰ And those having heard began glorifying God, and they said to him, “You see, brother, how many myriads there are among the Jews having believed, and are all zealous ones for the Law.

⁸ First indeed, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is being proclaimed in all the world.

¹⁷ But thanks be to God that you who were slaves of sin have now become obedient from the heart to the pattern of teaching to which you were committed.

¹⁴ And the grace of our Lord surpassingly increased with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.

⁴ And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit was giving to them to utter forth.

¹² But if their trespass is the riches of the world, and their failure is the riches of the Gentiles, how much more their fullness!

⁴ For whatever was written in the past was all written for our instruction, so that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures, we might have hope.

¹⁴ And I myself also am persuaded concerning you my brothers, that you yourselves are also full of goodness, being filled with all knowledge, and being able to admonish one another.

⁷ For who makes you any different? And what do you have that you did not receive? And if also you did receive it, why do you boast as not having received it? ⁸ Already you are satiated; already you have been enriched; apart from us you reigned; and I wish that really you did reign, so that we also might reign with you. ⁹ For I think God has exhibited us, the apostles, last, as appointed to death, because we have become a spectacle to the world, both to angels and to men. ¹⁰ We are fools on account of Christ, but you are wise in Christ; we are weak, but you are strong; You are honored, but we are without honor.

⁸ For truly, to one is given a word of wisdom by the Spirit, and to another a word of knowledge according to the same Spirit,

¹⁰ and to another working of miracles, and to another prophecy, and to another distinguishing of spirits, and to a different one various kinds of tongues, and to another interpretation of tongues.

² And if I should have prophecy and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I should have all faith so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.

⁸ Love never fails; but if there are prophesies, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will be ceased; if there is knowledge it will pass away.

⁵ Now I desire you all to speak in tongues, but rather that you should prophesy. Now the one prophesying is greater than the one speaking in tongues, unless he should interpret, so that the church might receive edification. ⁶ But now brothers, if I should come to you speaking in tongues, what will I profit you, unless I should speak to you either in revelation, or in knowledge, or in prophecy, or in teaching?

²⁶ What then is it, brothers? When you may come together, each has a psalm, has a teaching, has a revelation, has a tongue, has an interpretation. Let all things be done for edification.

⁶ For it is God, having said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” who shone in our hearts for the radiance of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

⁷ But even as you abound in every way—in faith, and speech, and knowledge, and all earnestness, and in the love from us to you—that also you should abound in this grace.

¹¹ enriching you in every way to all generosity, which produces through us thanksgiving to God.

¹⁷ that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,

⁷ in order that in the coming ages He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

⁸ To me, the very least of all saints, was given this grace: to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ

¹⁹ and also for me, that in the opening of my mouth, divine utterance may be given to me to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel,

⁹ And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and all discernment,

⁹ Because of this also, we from the day we heard, do not cease praying for you and asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding ¹⁰ to walk worthily of the Lord: pleasing in all, bringing forth fruit in every good work, and growing in the knowledge of God,

³ in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and of knowledge.

¹⁰ and having put on the new, the one being renewed in knowledge according to the image of the one having created him,

³ praying at the same time also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ, on account of which also I have been bound, ⁴ so that I should make it clear, as it behooves me to speak.

¹³ Who is wise and understanding among you; let him show his works out of the good conduct, in the humility of wisdom.

¹⁸ But grow in grace and in knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

²⁰ And having gone forth, they preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word by the accompanying signs.

¹⁷ If then God has given to them the same gift as also to us having believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, how was I able to forbid God?”

²¹ And the hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number, having believed, turned to the Lord.

⁵ Now when both Silas and Timothy came down from Macedonia, Paul was occupied with the word, earnestly testifying to the Jews Jesus to be the Christ.

²¹ earnestly testifying both to the Jewish and to Greeks repentance in God and faith in our Lord Jesus.

²⁴ But I make my life neither dear nor any account to myself, so as to finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus: to testify fully the gospel of the grace of God.

¹⁸ and saw Him saying to me, ‘Make haste and go away with speed out of Jerusalem, because they will not receive your testimony about Me.’

¹¹ But the following night the Lord, having stood by him, said, “Take courage, for as you have fully testified about Me at Jerusalem, so also it behooves you to testify in Rome.”

²³ Then having appointed him a day, many came to him to the lodging, to whom he expounded from morning to evening, fully testifying to the kingdom of God and persuading them concerning Jesus from both the Law of Moses and the Prophets.

¹⁹ in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of the Spirit of God, so as for me, from Jerusalem and around unto Illyricum, to have fully proclaimed the gospel of Christ,

¹ And I having come to you, brothers, did not come according to excellency of speech or wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God. ² For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and Him having been crucified.

⁵ Therefore, the One supplying to you the Spirit and working miracles among you, is it out of works of the Law, or out of hearing of faith?

¹⁰ when in that day He shall come to be glorified in His saints, and to be marveled at among all those having believed because our testimony to you was believed,

⁶ the One having given Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony in their own proper times,

⁸ Therefore you should not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me, His prisoner; but suffer together for the gospel, according to the power of God,

³ how shall we escape, having neglected such a great salvation, which, having received a commencement declared by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those having heard, ⁴ God bearing witness with them both by signs and wonders, and by various miracles and distributions of the Holy Spirit, according to His will.

¹¹ And this is the testimony: that God has given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. ¹² The one having the Son has life; the one not having the Son of God does not have life. ¹³ I have written these things to you, the ones believing in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.

⁹ I John, your brother and fellow-partaker in the tribulation and kingdom and perseverance in Jesus, was in the island called Patmos on account of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.

⁹ And when He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those having been slain because of the word of God, and because of the testimony which they had upheld.

¹¹ And they have overcome him by reason of the blood of the Lamb, and by reason of the word of their testimony; and they have not loved their life unto death.

¹⁷ And the dragon was angry with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her children keeping the commandments of God and holding the testimony of Jesus. And he stood upon the sand of the sea.

¹⁰ And I fell before his feet to worship him. And he says to me, “See that you not do this. I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers, holding the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

¹ Then the kingdom of the heavens will be likened to ten virgins, who, having taken their lamps, went forth to meet the bridegroom.

³⁶ And you, like to men waiting for their master, whenever he shall return from the wedding feasts, that having come and having knocked, they might open to him immediately.

³⁰ It will be according to these in that day the Son of Man is revealed.

¹⁹ For the earnest expectation of the creation awaits the revelation of the sons of God.

⁵ Therefore do not judge anything before the time, until the Lord shall have come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the motives of the hearts; and then the praise will come to each from God.

¹³ For in what is it that you were inferior beyond the rest of the churches, except that I myself did not burden you? Forgive me this wrong!

²⁰ For our citizenship exists in the heavens, from whence also we are awaiting a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,

⁴ When Christ your life may be revealed, then you also will appear with Him in glory.

¹⁰ and to await His Son from the heavens, whom He raised out from the dead—Jesus, the one delivering us from the coming wrath.

⁷ and to you being oppressed, repose with us at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven, with His mighty angels,

¹⁴ for you to keep the commandment, without stain, above reproach, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, ¹⁵ which He will display in the own seasons, blessed and alone Sovereign, the King of those being kings, and the Lord of those being lords,

⁸ From now on the crown of righteousness is laid up for me, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me in that day; but not only to me, but also to all those loving His appearing.

¹³ awaiting the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ,

²⁸ so also Christ, having been offered once in order to bear the sins of many, will appear for a second time, apart from sin, to those awaiting Him for salvation.

³⁶ For you have need of endurance, so that, having done the will of God, you may receive the promise. ³⁷ For “Yet in a very while little, the One coming will come, and will not delay.

⁷ Therefore be patient, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. Behold, the farmer awaits the precious fruit of the earth, being patient for it until it receives the early and latter rains. ⁸ You also be patient; strengthen your hearts, because the coming of the Lord has drawn near.

¹³ Therefore having girded up the loins of your mind, being sober-minded, set your hope fully upon the grace being brought to you in the revelation of Jesus Christ,

¹³ But as you have shared in the sufferings of Christ, rejoice, so that also in the revelation of His glory you may rejoice, exulting.

⁴ And the Chief Shepherd having been revealed, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.

¹² expecting and hastening the coming of the day of God, by reason of which the heavens will be dissolved, being set on fire, and the elements are melting, burning with heat.

² Beloved, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, for we will see Him as He is.

²¹ keep yourselves in the love of God, awaiting the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

²⁴ For as the lightning shines, flashing from the one end of the sky to the other end of the sky, thus the Son of Man will be in His day.

⁴ Who are you, judging another’s servant? To the own master he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to uphold him.

²⁵ Now to Him being able to strengthen you according to my gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery having been kept secret in times of the ages,

⁵ to deliver such a one to Satan for destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord.

¹⁴ as also you have understood us in part, so that we are your boasting, even as you are also ours, in the day of our Lord Jesus.

²¹ Now the One establishing us with you unto Christ, and having anointed us, is God,

²⁷ so that He might present to Himself the church in glory, not having spot or wrinkle or any of the such things, but that it would be holy and blameless.

⁶ being persuaded of this very thing, that the One having begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Christ Jesus.

¹⁰ for you to approve the things being excellent, so that you may be pure and blameless unto the day of Christ,

¹⁵ so that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God unblemished in the midst of a crooked and perverted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, ¹⁶ holding forth the word of life unto a boast to me in the day of Christ that I did not run in vain nor toil in vain.

²² but now He has reconciled in His body of flesh through death, to present you holy and unblemished and blameless before Him,

¹³ in order to strengthen your hearts, blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all His saints. Amen.

²³ Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely, and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved, entirely blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. ²⁴ The One calling you is faithful, who also will do it.

³ But the Lord is faithful, who will strengthen you and will keep you from evil.

¹⁰ And the God of all grace, the One having called you to His eternal glory in Christ, of you having suffered a little while, He Himself will perfect, will confirm, will strengthen, and will establish you.

¹⁰ But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar, and elements will be dissolved, burning with heat, and the earth and the works in it will not be found.

¹⁴ Therefore, beloved, expecting these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and without blemish.

²⁴ Now to Him being able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless in the presence of His glory, with exultation— ²⁵ to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and to all the ages. Amen.

³⁵ The heaven and the earth will pass away, but My words shall not pass away.

⁴ Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch is not able to bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither you, unless you abide in Me. ⁵ I am the vine; you are the branches. The one abiding in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit. For apart from Me you are able to do nothing.

²¹ that all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You, that they also may be in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.

²⁸ And we know that God works together all things for good to those loving God, to those being called according to His purpose,

³⁰ And those whom He predestined, these also He called; and whom He called, these also He justified; and whom He justified, these also He glorified.

²⁴ even us, whom He has called not only out from the Jews, but also out from the Gentiles?

¹⁷ But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and have become a fellow-partaker of the fatness of the root of the olive tree,

¹³ No temptation has seized you, except what is common to man. And God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but will also provide with the temptation the escape, to be able to endure it.

¹⁶ Is not the cup of blessing that we bless a participation in the blood of Christ? Is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ?

¹⁸ But God is faithful, that our word to you was not “Yes” and “No.”

¹⁵ But when God, the One having selected me from my mother’s womb and having called me by His grace, was pleased

²⁰ I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. And that which I now live in the flesh, I live through faith from the Son of God, the One having loved me and having given up Himself for me.

²⁰ having been built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the cornerstone, ²¹ in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is increasing into a holy temple in the Lord, ²² in whom you also are being built together for a habitation of God in the Spirit.

⁶ that the Gentiles are joint-heirs, and a joint-body, and joint-partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus, through the gospel,

²⁴ Now I rejoice in the sufferings for you, and I am filling up in my flesh that which is lacking of the tribulations of Christ for His body, which is the church,

¹² we were exhorting and comforting you and charging unto you to walk worthily of God, who calls you into His kingdom and glory.

¹⁴ to this also He called you through our gospel to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

² in the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before time eternal

¹⁷ Therefore it behooved Him to be made like the brothers in all things, so that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things relating to God, in order to make propitiation for the sins of the people.

¹ Therefore, holy brothers, partakers of the heavenly calling, carefully consider Jesus, the apostle and high priest of our confession,

¹⁴ For we have become partakers of Christ, if indeed we should hold firm unto the end the assurance from the beginning.

¹⁸ so that by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have strong encouragement, having fled for refuge, to take hold of the hope being set before us,

²³ We should hold fast to the confession of our hope, unwavering; for the One having promised is faithful.

¹¹ By faith also Sarah, herself barren, received power for the conception of seed, even beyond the opportune age, since she considered the One having promised faithful.

³ that which we have seen and have heard, we proclaim to you also, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ.

⁷ But if we should walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.

¹³ By this we know that we abide in Him and He in us: because He has given to us from out of His Spirit.

¹¹ And I saw heaven having been opened, and behold, a white horse, and the One sitting upon it called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.

¹⁶ But no one puts a patch of unshrunk cloth on old clothing, for the filling up of it tears away from the garment, and a worse tear emerges.

²¹ No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on old clothing. Otherwise the patch tears away from it, the new from the old, and a worse tear takes place.

⁴³ Therefore a division occurred in the crowd because of Him.

¹⁶ Therefore some of the Pharisees were saying, “This man is not from God, for He does not keep the Sabbath.” But others were saying, “How is a sinful man able to do such signs?” And there was division among them.

¹⁹ Again there was division among the Jews on account of these words.

³⁴ A new commandment I give to you, that you should love one another. As I have loved you, so you also should love one another. ³⁵ By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love among one another.”

²³ I in them, and You in Me—that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me and loved them even as You loved Me.

³² Now the multitude of those having believed were one in heart and soul, and not one claimed anything of that which he possesses to be his own, but all things were theirs in common.

¹ Therefore I exhort you, brothers, through the compassions of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy to God, well-pleasing, which is your reasonable service.

¹⁶ minding the same thing toward one another, not minding the things haughty, but going along with the lowly. Do not be wise in yourselves,

⁵ Now may the God of endurance and encouragement give you to be of the same mind with one another, according to Christ Jesus, ⁶ so that with one accord, with one mouth, you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

³⁰ Now I exhort you, brothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to strive together with me in the prayers for me to God,

¹⁷ Now I exhort you, brothers, to consider those causing divisions and obstacles contrary to the teaching that you have learned, and turn away from them.

¹⁶ Therefore I exhort you, become imitators of me.

¹⁸ For first indeed, of you coming together in an assembly, I hear there to be divisions among you, and in part I believe it.

²⁵ that there should be no division in the body, but the members should have the same concern for one another.

²⁰ Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God is beseeching through us. We implore on behalf of Christ: Be reconciled to God.

¹ And working together, we also urge you not to receive the grace of God in vain.

¹ Now I, Paul, myself exhort you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, I who indeed as to appearance am humble among you, but being absent am bold toward you.

¹¹ Finally, brothers, rejoice! Be perfected, be exhorted, be of the same mind, be at peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.

¹² I implore you, brothers, become as I am, because I also have become as you. You have wronged me in nothing.

¹ Therefore I, the prisoner in the Lord, exhort you to walk worthily of the calling to which you were called, ² with all humility and gentleness; with patience bearing with one another in love; ³ being diligent to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace; ⁴ one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called into one hope of your calling; ⁵ one Lord, one faith, one baptism; ⁶ one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. ⁷ Now to each one of us grace has been given according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

³¹ Let all bitterness, and rage, and anger, and clamor, and slander, be removed from you, along with all malice. ³² And be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, as also in Christ God forgave you.

²⁷ Only conduct yourselves worthily of the gospel of Christ, so that, whether having come and having seen you, or being absent, I might hear the things concerning you, that you are standing firm in one spirit, striving together with one mind for the faith of the gospel,

¹ Therefore if there is any encouragement in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affections and compassions, ² fulfill my joy so that you may be of the same mind, having the same love, united in soul, minding the same thing, ³ nothing according to self-interest or according to vain conceit, but in humility be esteeming one another surpassing themselves, ⁴ each considering not the things of themselves, but each also the things of others.

¹⁶ Nevertheless, to that which we have attained, we are to walk by the same.

¹ Finally then, brothers, we implore and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that just as you have received from us in what manner it behooves you to walk and to please God, just as even you walk now, so you should abound more. ² For you know what instructions we gave you through the Lord Jesus.

¹³ and to esteem them exceedingly in love, because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves.

¹ Now we implore you, brothers, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together unto Him,

²¹ I earnestly testify before God and Christ Jesus and the elect angels that you should keep these things apart from prejudice, doing nothing out of partiality.

¹ I earnestly declare before God and Christ Jesus, the One being about to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom:

⁹ rather, I exhort you for the sake of love, being such a one as Paul, now aged and also a prisoner of Christ Jesus. ¹⁰ I exhort you for my child whom I have begotten in chains, Onesimus,

¹³ Who is wise and understanding among you; let him show his works out of the good conduct, in the humility of wisdom. ¹⁴ But if you have bitter jealousy and self-interest in your heart, do not boast of it and lie against the truth. ¹⁵ This is not the wisdom coming down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. ¹⁶ For where jealousy and self-interest exist, there will be disorder and every evil thing. ¹⁷ But the wisdom from above is indeed first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and of good fruits, impartial, sincere. ¹⁸ And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those making peace.

¹¹ Beloved, I exhort you as aliens and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly desires, which war against the soul,

⁸ Now the end: All be single-minded, sympathetic, loving as brothers, tender-hearted, humble, ⁹ not repaying evil for evil or insult for insult; but on the contrary blessing, because to this you were called, so that you should inherit blessing.

³ for you are still fleshly. For where jealousy and strife are among you, are you not fleshly, and are walking according to man?

¹ Anyone of you having a matter against the other, dare he go to law before the unrighteous, and not before the saints? ² Or do you not know that saints will judge the world? And if the world is to be judged by you, are you unworthy of the smallest of cases? ³ Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life? ⁴ So indeed, if you have judgment as to the things of this life, set you up those the ones being despised in the church! ⁵ I say this to you for shame. Thus is there not one wise man among you who will be able to decide in between his brother? ⁶ Instead, brother goes to law against brother, and this before unbelievers! ⁷ Therefore indeed it is already altogether a defeat for you that you have lawsuits among one another. Why not rather suffer wrong? Why not rather be defrauded?

²⁰ For I fear lest perhaps having come, I may not find you such as I wish, and I might be found by you such as you do not wish; lest perhaps there may be quarreling, jealousy, anger, contentions, slander, gossip, conceit, disorder;

¹⁵ But if you bite and devour one another, take heed, lest you might be consumed by one another.

²⁰ idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, contentions, dissensions, factions,

²⁶ We should not become boastful, provoking one another, envying one another.

¹⁴ Do all things without murmurings and disputings,

⁴ he is puffed up, knowing nothing, but unhealthy about controversies and disputes about words, out of which come envy, strife, slander, evil suspicions,

²³ And refuse foolish and ignorant speculations, knowing that they breed quarrels. ²⁴ And it behooves the bond-servant of the Lord not to quarrel, but to be gentle toward all, able to teach, forbearing, ²⁵ in gentleness disciplining those opposing, lest ever God may give them repentance unto a knowledge of the truth,

¹ From where come quarrels and from where conflicts among you? Is it not from there, out of your passions warring in your members? ² You desire and do not have. You kill and covet and are not able to obtain. You fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not ask.

⁹ And call no one your father on the earth; for One is your Father, who is in heaven. ¹⁰ Neither be called instructors; since One is your instructor, the Christ.

⁴² He led him to Jesus. Having looked at him, Jesus said, “You are Simon the son of Jonah. You will be called Cephas” (which means Peter).

²⁴ Now a certain Jew named Apollos, a native of Alexandria, came to Ephesus, being an eloquent man, mighty in the Scriptures.

⁴ For when one might say, “I indeed am of Paul,” but another, “I of Apollos,” are you not fleshly? ⁵ Who then is Apollos? And who is Paul? Servants through whom you believed, even as the Lord has given to each. ⁶ I planted, Apollos watered, but God kept it growing.

²¹ Therefore let no one boast in men. For all things are yours, ²² whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come—all are yours, ²³ and you of Christ, and Christ of God.

⁶ Now I have applied these things, brothers, to myself and Apollos, on account of you, so that in us you may learn, “not beyond what has been written,” so that not one of you should be puffed up for one over the other.

²⁹ Now I say this, brothers: The season is shortened; that from now on both those having wives, should be as having none;

⁵ Have we no authority to take about a believer as a wife, as also the other apostles, and the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas?

⁵ and that He appeared to Cephas, then to the Twelve.

⁵⁰ Now I say this, brothers, that flesh and blood is not able to inherit the kingdom of God, nor does decay inherit immortality.

¹² Now concerning Apollos our brother, I exhorted him greatly that he should go to you with the brothers, and his will was not at all that he should come now; but he will come when he shall have opportunity.

⁶ Now this: The one sowing sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one sowing upon blessings will also reap upon blessings,

⁹ and having recognized the grace having been given to me, James and Cephas and John, those esteemed to be pillars, gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship, that we should go to the Gentiles, but they to the circumcision,

¹⁷ Now I say this: The Law, having come four hundred and thirty years afterward, does not annul the covenant having been confirmed beforehand by God, so as to nullify the promise.

¹⁹ Therefore having gone, disciple all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,

³⁸ And Peter says to them, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

¹⁶ For He was not yet fallen upon any of them, but they had only been baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus.

⁴⁸ And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked him to remain some days.

⁵ And having heard, they were baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus.

⁹ For unto this, Christ died and lived again that He might rule over both the dead and living.

¹⁵ so that no one should say that you were baptized into my name.

¹⁹ Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit in you, whom you have from God? And you are not your own, ²⁰ for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body.

² And all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea,

¹⁴ For the love of Christ compels us, having concluded this, that One has died for all, therefore all have died. ¹⁵ And He died for all that those living no longer should live to themselves, but to the One having died for them and having been raised again.

⁴ For if indeed the one coming proclaims another Jesus whom we did not proclaim, or you receive a different spirit whom you did not receive, or a different gospel which you did not accept, you are bearing with it well.

⁷ which is not another, except there are some who are troubling you and are desiring to pervert the gospel of Christ.

⁵ one Lord, one faith, one baptism;

¹⁴ who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all lawlessness and might purify to Himself a people specially chosen, zealous of good works.

⁸ And Crispus, the ruler of the synagogue, believed in the Lord, with his all household. And many of the Corinthians hearing believed and were baptized.

²³ Gaius, the host of me and of all the church, greets you. Erastus, the steward of the city, greets you, and Quartus, the brother.

⁴ I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God having been given you in Christ Jesus,

¹⁸ I thank God, speaking in tongues more than all of you.

¹⁴ But thanks be to God, the One always leading us in triumph in Christ, and through us in every place making manifest the fragrance of the knowledge of Him.

²⁰ giving thanks at all times for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to the God and Father.

¹⁵ And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body. And be thankful.

¹⁷ And all, whatever you might do in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

¹⁸ Give thanks in everything, for this is the will of God toward you in Christ Jesus.

¹² I have thankfulness for the One having strengthened me, Christ Jesus our Lord, that He esteemed me faithful, having appointed me to service,

⁴ I thank my God always, making mention of you upon my prayers,

¹ The elder, To Gaius the beloved, whom I love in truth. ² Beloved, I pray you to prosper concerning all things and to be in good health, just as your soul prospers. ³ For I rejoiced exceedingly of the brothers coming and bearing witness of your truth, just as you are walking in truth. ⁴ I have no greater joy than these things, that I should hear of my children walking in the truth.

²⁸ You yourselves bear witness to me that I said, ‘I am not the Christ, but I am sent before Him.’ ²⁹ The one having the bride is the bridegroom; and the friend of the bridegroom, the one standing and listening for him, rejoices with joy because of the bridegroom’s voice. Therefore, this joy of mine is fulfilled.

¹⁸ The one speaking from himself seeks the own glory, but the One seeking the glory of the One having sent Him, He is true, and no unrighteousness is in Him.

² For I am jealous as to you with the jealousy of God. For I have betrothed you to one husband, to present a pure virgin to Christ.

¹⁵ And when she was baptized, and her house, she begged, saying, “If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, having entered into my house, abide.” And she persuaded us.

³³ And having taken them in that hour of the night, he washed them from the wounds, and immediately he was baptized, and all his household.

¹⁵ Now I exhort you, brothers—you know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruit of Achaia, and they have devoted themselves to service to the saints—

¹⁷ Now I rejoice at the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus, because these have filled up your deficiency.

² (although indeed Jesus Himself was not baptizing, but His disciples),

¹⁷ delivering you out from the people and from the Gentiles to whom I am sending you, ¹⁸ to open their eyes, that they may turn from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those having been sanctified by faith in Me.’

¹ And I having come to you, brothers, did not come according to excellency of speech or wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God.

⁴ And my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, ⁵ so that your faith might not be in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

¹³ which also we speak, not in words taught of human wisdom, but in those taught of the Spirit, communicating spiritual things by spiritual means.

² But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor falsifying the word of God, but by manifestation of the truth, commending ourselves to every man’s conscience before God.

³ For walking in flesh, we do not wage war according to flesh. ⁴ For the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly, but divinely powerful toward the demolition of strongholds,

¹⁰ For they say, “The letters indeed are weighty and strong, but the presence of the body is weak, and the speech having been ignored.”

⁶ But even if I am unpolished in speech, yet I am not in knowledge; but in every way, we have been made manifest to you in all things.

¹⁶ For we have not made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ having followed out cleverly devised fables, but having been eyewitnesses of His majesty.

⁴⁷ praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord kept adding every day to their number those who were being saved.

⁴¹ ‘Behold, scoffers, and wonder and perish; for I am working a work in your days, a work that you would never believe, even if one should declare it to you.’”

¹⁸ And also some of the Epicureans and Stoics, philosophers, encountered him, and some were saying, “What may this babbler desire to say?” but others, “He seems to be a proclaimer of foreign gods,” because he was proclaiming the gospel of Jesus and the resurrection.

³² Now having heard of a resurrection of the dead, some indeed began to mock him, but some said, “We will hear you concerning this again also.”

¹⁶ For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone believing—both to Jewish first, and to Greek.

²¹ For since in the wisdom of God, the world through its wisdom did not know God, God was pleased through the foolishness of the proclamation to save those believing.

²³ we, however, preach Christ having been crucified, a stumbling block indeed to the Jewish and foolishness to Gentiles, ²⁴ but those called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. ²⁵ For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God stronger than men.

² For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and Him having been crucified.

¹⁴ But the natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God; for they are foolishness to him, and he is not able to understand them, because spiritually they are discerned.

¹⁹ For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it has been written: “He is the One catching the wise in their craftiness.”

² by which you are also being saved, if you hold fast to the word I proclaimed to you; otherwise you have believed in vain.

¹⁵ For we are a sweet perfume of Christ to God in those being saved and in those perishing: ¹⁶ to one indeed an odor from death to death, and to the other a fragrance from life to life. And who is sufficient for these things?

³ But if indeed our gospel is concealed, it is concealed to those who are perishing,

⁴ For the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly, but divinely powerful toward the demolition of strongholds,

¹² As many as desire to have a fair appearance in the flesh, these compel you to be circumcised, only that they might not be persecuted for the cross of Christ. ¹³ For not even those being circumcised keep the Law themselves, but they desire you to be circumcised so that they may boast in your flesh. ¹⁴ But for me, may it be never to boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me and I to the world.

⁵ because our gospel came to you not in word only, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit, and with much full assurance, just as you know what we were among you on account of you.

¹⁰ and in every deception of wickedness unto those perishing, in return for which they did not receive the love of the truth in order for them to be saved.

¹² For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating even as far as the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrows, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

²² Professing to be wise, they became fools,

¹⁹ For it has been written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; and the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.”

⁶ But we speak wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to naught.

²⁵ At that time, Jesus answering said, “I fully consent to You, Father, Lord of the heaven and the earth, that You did hide these things from the wise and learned, and did reveal them to little children.

²¹ In the same hour, He rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said, “I fully consent to You, Father, Lord of the heaven and of the earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent, and have revealed them to little children; yes, Father, for thus was it well-pleasing before You.

²⁰ For from the creation of the world His invisible qualities, both His eternal power and divinity, are clearly seen, being understood by the things made, for them to be without excuse. ²¹ For having known God, they glorified Him not as God, or were thankful; but they became futile in their thinking and their foolish heart was darkened. ²² Professing to be wise, they became fools,

²⁸ And as they did not see fit to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a depraved mind, to do things not being proper;

³³ O, the depth of riches, both of wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable His judgments, and untraceable His ways!

²⁴ but those called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

¹⁰ so that now through the church the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms,

³⁸ Then some of the scribes and Pharisees answered him, saying “Teacher, we wish to see a sign from You.” ³⁹ And answering He said to them, “An evil and adulterous generation seeks for a sign, and no sign will be given to it, except the sign of Jonah the prophet.

¹ And the Pharisees and Sadducees having approached testing Him, asked Him to show them a sign out of heaven. ² And answering He said to them, “Evening having come, you say, ‘Fair weather, for the sky is red,’ ³ and in the morning, ‘Today a storm, for the sky is red, being overcast.’ Indeed you know how to discern the appearance of the sky, but the signs of the times you are not able! ⁴ An evil and adulterous generation seeks a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah.” And having left them, He went away.

¹¹ And the Pharisees went out and began to dispute with Him, seeking from Him a sign from heaven, testing Him.

¹⁶ And others, testing, were seeking from Him a sign from heaven.

²⁰ But if I cast out the demons by the finger of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.

¹⁸ So the Jews answered and said to Him, “What sign do You show to us that You do these things?”

²⁸ Then the woman left her water pot and went away into the city, and says to the men,

¹⁸ And also some of the Epicureans and Stoics, philosophers, encountered him, and some were saying, “What may this babbler desire to say?” but others, “He seems to be a proclaimer of foreign gods,” because he was proclaiming the gospel of Jesus and the resurrection. ¹⁹ And having taken hold of him they brought him to the Areopagus, saying, “Are we able to know what is this new teaching which is spoken by you. ²⁰ For you are bringing some strange things to our ears. We resolve therefore to know what these things wish to be.” ²¹ Now all the Athenians and the visiting strangers spent their time in nothing else than to tell something and to hear something new.

⁶ And blessed is he who shall not fall away in Me.”

⁵⁷ And they were offended at Him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor, except in the hometown and in his own household.”

³⁴ And Simeon blessed them and said to His mother Mary: “Behold, this Child is appointed for the falling and rising up of many in Israel, and for a sign spoken against—

⁴⁶ And He said to them, “Thus it has been written: The Christ was to suffer and to rise out from the dead on the third day, ⁴⁷ and repentance and forgiveness of sins to be proclaimed in His name to all nations, having begun from Jerusalem.

⁵³ Therefore Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you shall have eaten the flesh of the Son of Man, and shall have drunk His blood, you do not have life in yourselves. ⁵⁴ The one eating My flesh and drinking My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up in the last day. ⁵⁵ For My flesh is true food, and My blood is true drink. ⁵⁶ The one eating My flesh and drinking My blood abides in Me, and I in him. ⁵⁷ As the living Father sent Me and I live because of the Father, so also the one feeding on Me, he also will live because of Me. ⁵⁸ This is the bread having come down from heaven, not as the fathers ate and died. The one eating this bread will live to the age.” ⁵⁹ He said these things teaching in the synagogue in Capernaum. ⁶⁰ Therefore many of His disciples having heard, said, “This word is difficult; who is able to hear it?” ⁶¹ But Jesus, knowing in Himself that His disciples are grumbling about this, said to them, “Does this offend you? ⁶² Then what if you should see the Son of Man ascending to where He was before? ⁶³ It is the Spirit giving life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit and they are life. ⁶⁴ But there are some of you who do not believe.” (For Jesus knew from the beginning who are those not believing, and who it is who will betray Him.) ⁶⁵ And He was saying, “Because of this, I have said to you that no one is able to come to Me, unless it shall have been granted to him from the Father.” ⁶⁶ From that time, many of His disciples departed to the back and no longer walked with Him.

³² ‘I am the God of your Fathers, the God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob.’ And Moses, having become terrified, did not dare to look. ³³ And the Lord said to him, ‘Take off the sandal of your feet, for the place on which you stand is holy ground. ³⁴ Having seen, I saw the oppression of My people in Egypt, and I have heard their groans, and I have come down to deliver them. And now come, I will send you to Egypt.’ ³⁵ This Moses whom they rejected, having said, ‘Who appointed you ruler and judge?’—him whom God sent and as ruler and redeemer by the hand of the angel having appeared to him in the bush—

³⁹ And we are witnesses of all things that He did, both in the region of the Jews and in Jerusalem, whom they also put to death, having hanged Him on a tree. ⁴⁰ This One God raised up on the third day, and gave Him to become manifest, ⁴¹ not to all the people, but to the witnesses having been chosen beforehand by God, to us who did eat with and drink with Him after His rising out from the dead. ⁴² And He instructed us to proclaim to the people and to testify fully that He is the One having been appointed by God as judge of the living and the dead. ⁴³ To Him all the prophets bear witness that everyone believing in Him receives forgiveness of sins through His name.”

³² Why? Because it was not by faith, but as by works. They stumbled over the stone of stumbling, ³³ as it has been written: “Behold, I lay in Zion a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense; and the one believing on Him will never be put to shame.”

¹⁸ For the message of the cross is foolishness to those indeed perishing, but to us being saved it is the power of God.

²⁸ and the low-born of the world, and the things being despised, God also chose—the things not being—that He might annul the things being,

¹ O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as having been crucified?

¹¹ Now, brothers, if I still proclaim circumcision, why still am I persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross has been abolished.

¹⁴ But for me, may it be never to boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me and I to the world.

⁸ and, “A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense.” They stumble at being disobedient to the word, to which also they were appointed.

³⁵ And wisdom was justified by all her children.”

⁴⁹ Because of this also, the Wisdom of God said, ‘I will send to them prophets and apostles, and some of them they will kill and persecute,’

⁴ having been declared the Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness, by resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord,

²⁸ And we know that God works together all things for good to those loving God, to those being called according to His purpose, ²⁹ because those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, for Him to be firstborn among many brothers. ³⁰ And those whom He predestined, these also He called; and whom He called, these also He justified; and whom He justified, these also He glorified.

² To the church of God being in Corinth, having been sanctified in Christ Jesus, called holy, together with all those in every place calling on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, both theirs and ours:

⁹ God is faithful, by whom you were called into fellowship with His Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

³³ O, the depth of riches, both of wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable His judgments, and untraceable His ways! ³⁴ “For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been His counselor?” ³⁵ “Or who has first given to Him, and it will be recompensed to him?” ³⁶ For from Him and through Him and unto Him are all things. To Him be the glory to the ages! Amen.

²⁷ But God has chosen the foolish things of the world that He might shame the wise; and God has chosen the weak things of the world that He might shame the strong; ²⁸ and the low-born of the world, and the things being despised, God also chose—the things not being—that He might annul the things being, ²⁹ so that all flesh may not boast before God.

⁴ For indeed He was crucified in weakness, yet He lives by God’s power. For we also are weak in Him, but we will live with Him by God’s power toward you.

²⁵ At that time, Jesus answering said, “I fully consent to You, Father, Lord of the heaven and the earth, that You did hide these things from the wise and learned, and did reveal them to little children. ²⁶ Yes, Father, for this was well-pleasing before You.

³ it seemed good also to me, having been acquainted with all things carefully from the first, to write with method to you, most excellent Theophilus,

²⁴ And having seen him, Jesus became sorrowful, saying, “How difficultly those having riches shall enter into the kingdom of God. ²⁵ For it is easier for a camel to go through an eye of a needle, than a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.”

⁴⁶ Therefore He came again to Cana of Galilee, where He had made the water wine. And there was in Capernaum a certain royal official whose son was sick. ⁴⁷ Having heard that Jesus had come out of Judea into Galilee, he went to Him and was asking that He would come down and heal his son; for he was about to die. ⁴⁸ Therefore Jesus said to him, “Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will never believe.” ⁴⁹ The royal official says to Him, “Sir, come down before my child dies.” ⁵⁰ Jesus says to him, “Go, your son lives.” The man believed the word that Jesus said to him, and he went on his way. ⁵¹ And already as he is going down, his servants met him, saying that his son lives. ⁵² Therefore he inquired from them the hour in which he got better. Therefore they said to him, “Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.” ⁵³ Therefore the father knew that it was in that hour at which Jesus said to him, “Your son lives.” And he himself believed, and his whole household.

⁴⁷ Therefore the Pharisees answered them, “Have you also been deceived? ⁴⁸ Has any of the rulers or of the Pharisees believed on Him? ⁴⁹ But this crowd, not knowing the Law, are accursed.”

³⁸ And after these things, Joseph from Arimathea, being a disciple of Jesus, but concealed through the fear of the Jews, asked Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus; and Pilate gave permission. So he came and took away His body. ³⁹ Now Nicodemus, the one having come to Him by night at the first, also came bearing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about a hundred litras.

⁷ who was with the proconsul Sergius Paulus, an intelligent man. He, having summoned Barnabas and Saul, desired to hear the word of God.

¹² Then the proconsul, having seen that having happened, believed, being astonished at the teaching of the Lord.

³⁴ But some men, having joined themselves to him, believed, among whom also were Dionysius the Areopagite, and a woman named Damaris, and others with them.

²⁰ Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?

³ And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling. ⁴ And my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, ⁵ so that your faith might not be in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. ⁶ But we speak wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to naught.

⁸ which none of the rulers of this age has understood. For if they had understood it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

¹⁸ Let no one deceive himself: If anyone among you thinks himself to be wise in this age, let him become foolish, so that he may become wise. ¹⁹ For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it has been written: “He is the One catching the wise in their craftiness.” ²⁰ and again, “The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile.”

²² All the saints greet you, and especially those of the household of Caesar.

⁹ But let the brother of low degree boast in his exaltation, ¹⁰ and he who is rich, in his humiliation, because he will pass away like a flower of grass. ¹¹ For the sun has risen with its burning heat and withered the grass, and its flower has fallen, and the beauty of its appearance has perished. Thus also the rich man will fade away in the midst of his pursuits.

⁵ Listen, my beloved brothers: Has not God chosen the poor in this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom that He promised to those loving Him?

¹³ Who is wise and understanding among you; let him show his works out of the good conduct, in the humility of wisdom. ¹⁴ But if you have bitter jealousy and self-interest in your heart, do not boast of it and lie against the truth. ¹⁵ This is not the wisdom coming down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. ¹⁶ For where jealousy and self-interest exist, there will be disorder and every evil thing. ¹⁷ But the wisdom from above is indeed first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and of good fruits, impartial, sincere.

¹ The elder, To the elect lady and her children, whom I love in truth, and not only I, but also all those having known the truth—

¹⁸ Now walking beside the Sea of Galilee, He saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and his brother Andrew, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen. ¹⁹ And He says to them, “Come follow after Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” ²⁰ And immediately having left the nets, they followed Him. ²¹ And having gone on from there, He saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee and his brother John, in the boat with their father Zebedee, mending their nets. And He called them, ²² and immediately having left the boat and their father they followed Him.

⁹ And Jesus passing on from there saw a man called Matthew sitting at the tax booth. And He says to him, “Follow Me.” And having arisen, he followed Him.

¹⁶ and said to Him, “Do you hear what these say?” And Jesus says to them, “Yes, have you never read: ‘Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings You have prepared for yourself praise’?”

³⁹ And some of the Pharisees from the crowd said to Him, “Teacher, rebuke Your disciples.” ⁴⁰ And answering He said, “I say to you that if these will be silent, the stones will cry out.”

¹⁵ For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all those opposing you will not be able to resist nor to reply to.

¹¹ This is ‘the stone having been rejected by you, the builders, which has become the head of the corner.’ ¹² And there is salvation in no other, for there is not another name under heaven having been given among men, by which it behooves us to be saved.” ¹³ Now seeing the boldness of Peter and of John, and having understood that they are unschooled and ordinary men, they were astonished. And they recognized them, that they had been with Jesus. ¹⁴ And beholding the man having been healed standing with them, they had nothing to contradict. ¹⁵ But having commanded them to go outside the Council, they began to confer with one another, ¹⁶ saying, “What shall we do to these men? For truly that a noteworthy sign has come to pass through them is evident to all those inhabiting Jerusalem, and we are not able to deny it. ¹⁷ But that it might not spread further on among the people, let us warn them to speak no longer to any man in this name.” ¹⁸ And having called them, they commanded them not to speak nor to teach at all in the name of Jesus. ¹⁹ But Peter and John answering, said to them, “Whether it is right before God to listen to you, rather than God, you must judge. ²⁰ For we are not able to stop speaking about what we have seen and heard.” ²¹ And having further threatened them, they let them go, finding no way they might punish them, on account of the people, because all were glorifying God for that having happened.

⁹ But certain of those from the synagogue called Freedmen, including Cyrenians and Alexandrians and of those from Cilicia and Asia, arose, disputing with Stephen. ¹⁰ And they were not able to withstand the wisdom and the Spirit by whom he was speaking.

³⁵ This Moses whom they rejected, having said, ‘Who appointed you ruler and judge?’—him whom God sent and as ruler and redeemer by the hand of the angel having appeared to him in the bush—

⁵⁴ Now hearing these things, they were cut to their hearts and began gnashing the teeth at him.

²⁴ Then after some days, Felix, having arrived with the own wife Drusilla, being a Jewess, sent for Paul and heard him concerning the faith in Christ Jesus. ²⁵ And of him reasoning concerning righteousness and self-control and the coming judgment, Felix, having become frightened, answered, “Go away for the present, and having found opportunity, I will call for you.”

⁷ Now we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the surpassingness of the power may be from God, and not from us,

⁴ For the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly, but divinely powerful toward the demolition of strongholds, ⁵ overthrowing arguments, and every high thing lifting itself up against the knowledge of God, and taking captive every thought into the obedience of Christ,

¹⁷ as it has been written: “I have made you a father of many nations.”—before God whom he believed, the One giving life to the dead and calling into being the things not even existing,

¹¹ I have become a fool; you compelled me. For I ought to have been commended by you, for in no way was I inferior to those “most eminent apostles,” even though I am nothing.

¹⁷ For in one hour such great wealth has been brought to desolation.” And every shipmaster, and all those sailing to a place, and sailors, and as many as trade by the sea, stood at a distance,

¹⁹ Now we know that whatever the Law says, it speaks to those under the Law, so that every mouth may be stopped, and the whole world may be under judgment to God.

²⁷ Where then is boasting? It has been excluded. Through what principle? That of works? No, but through the principle of faith.

² For if Abraham was justified by works, he has ground of boasting, but not toward God.

¹⁷ Therefore I have the boasting in Christ Jesus in the things pertaining to God.

³¹ in order that, as it has been written: “The one boasting, let him boast in the Lord.”

⁷ For who makes you any different? And what do you have that you did not receive? And if also you did receive it, why do you boast as not having received it?

⁶ Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump?

⁹ not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.

²¹ And she will bring forth a son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”

¹⁸ No one has ever yet seen God. The only begotten God, the One being in the bosom of the Father, He has made Him known.

¹² Therefore Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. The one following Me shall not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.”

⁶ Jesus says to him, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father, if not by Me.

¹ I am the true vine and My Father is the vinedresser. ² Every branch not bearing fruit in Me, He takes it away; and every one bearing fruit, He prunes it that it may bear more fruit. ³ Already you are clean by reason of the word that I have spoken to you. ⁴ Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch is not able to bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither you, unless you abide in Me. ⁵ I am the vine; you are the branches. The one abiding in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit. For apart from Me you are able to do nothing. ⁶ If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown out like the branch and is dried up, and they gather them and cast them into the fire, and it is burned.

⁸ For the words that You have given Me I have given them, and they received them, and knew truly that I came forth from You; and they believed that You sent Me.

²¹ that all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You, that they also may be in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. ²² And I have given them the glory which You have given Me, so that they may be one, as We are one— ²³ I in them, and You in Me—that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me and loved them even as You loved Me.

²⁶ And I made known to them Your name, and will make it known, so that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”

¹⁷ For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith, as it has been written: “And the righteous will live by faith.”

²¹ But now apart from Law, the righteousness of God has been revealed, being borne witness to by the Law and the Prophets. ²² And the righteousness of God is through faith from Jesus Christ toward all those believing. For there is no distinction, ²³ for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, ²⁴ being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

⁶ just as David also declares the blessedness of the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works:

²⁵ who was delivered over for our trespasses, and was raised for our justification.

¹⁹ For as indeed through the disobedience of the one man, the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the One, the many will be made righteous.

²¹ so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness, unto eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

¹ Therefore there is now no condemnation to those in Christ Jesus.

⁹ Now you are not in flesh but in Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you; but if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not of Him.

²³ And not only so, but we ourselves, even having the firstfruit of the Spirit, also groan ourselves in ourselves, awaiting divine adoption as sons, the redemption of our body.

³⁶ For from Him and through Him and unto Him are all things. To Him be the glory to the ages! Amen.

⁵ so we, the many, are one body in Christ; and individually members one of another.

⁷ Greet Andronicus and Junias, my kinsmen and my fellow prisoners, who are of note among the apostles, and who were in Christ before me.

¹¹ Greet Herodion, my kinsman. Greet those of the household of Narcissus being in the Lord.

¹¹ And some of you were such. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

¹⁸ But now God has arranged the members, each one of them in the body, as He desired.

²⁷ Now you are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

⁵⁴ Now when this the perishable shall have put on the imperishable, and this, the mortal, shall have put on immortality, then the word having been written will come to pass: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.” ⁵⁵ “Where O death, is your victory? Where O death is your sting?” ⁵⁶ Now the sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the Law. ⁵⁷ But thanks be to God, the One giving us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹⁷ Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away; behold, the new has come into being. ¹⁸ Now all things are of God, the One having reconciled us to Himself through Christ, and having given to us the ministry of reconciliation: ¹⁹ how that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not reckoning their trespasses to them, and having put into us the word of reconciliation. ²⁰ Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God is beseeching through us. We implore on behalf of Christ: Be reconciled to God. ²¹ He made the One not having known sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.

² I know a man in Christ, fourteen years ago—whether in the body, I do not know, or out of the body, I do not know; God knows—such a man, having been caught up to the third heaven.

⁴ the One having given Himself for our sins, so that He might deliver us out of the evil age having come presently, according to the will our God and Father,

¹³ Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us—for it has been written: “Cursed is everyone hanging on a tree”—

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, ²³ gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law. ²⁴ Now those of Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

³ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the One having blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms, ⁴ just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world for us to be holy and blameless before Him, in love

⁷ in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of trespasses, according to the riches of His grace

¹⁰ for the administration of the fullness of the times, to bring together all things in Christ—the things in the heavens and the things upon the earth—

¹⁴ who is the guarantee of our inheritance to the redemption of the acquired possession, to the praise of His glory.

¹⁷ that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, ¹⁸ the eyes your of heart being enlightened, in order for you to know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

¹⁰ For we are His workmanship, having been created in Christ Jesus for good works which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

⁹ and to enlighten all what is the administration of the mystery having been hidden from the ages in God, the One having created all things, ¹⁰ so that now through the church the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms,

³⁰ And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

⁹ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness which is of the Law, but that which is through faith from Christ, the righteousness of God on the basis of faith,

¹⁴ in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

² that their hearts may be encouraged, having been knit together in love, and to all the riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, which is Christ, ³ in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and of knowledge.

¹⁶ Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing each other in all wisdom, singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with grace in your hearts to God.

¹⁵ and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings, being able to make you wise unto salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. ¹⁶ Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for instruction, for conviction, for correction, and for training in righteousness, ¹⁷ so that the man of God may be complete, having been fully equipped toward every good work.

¹² nor by blood of goats and calves, but through the own blood, He entered once for all into the holy places, having obtained eternal redemption.

⁵ Now if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask from God, the One giving generously to all and not finding fault, and it will be given to him.

¹⁸ knowing that you were redeemed from your futile manner of life handed down from your fathers, not by perishable things—by silver or by gold— ¹⁹ but by the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot,

¹ Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, To those having obtained a faith equally precious with ours, through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ:

⁶ This is the One having come by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and by blood. And the Spirit is the One testifying, because the Spirit is the truth.

⁹ And they are singing a new song, saying, “Worthy are You to take the scroll and to open its seals, because You were slain, and You purchased to God by Your blood, out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,

⁴ These are they who have not been defiled with women; for they are pure, these following the Lamb wherever He shall go. These have been redeemed out from men as firstfruits to God and to the Lamb.

¹⁷ But, “The one boasting, let him boast in the Lord.”

³ For we are the circumcision, those worshiping in the Spirit of God, and glorying in Christ Jesus, and not trusting in the flesh—
