²³ And this is His commandment, that we should believe in the name of His Son, Jesus Christ, and we should love one another, just as He gave the commandment to us.

³⁹ And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’

⁷ And there came a cloud overshadowing them, and there came a voice out of the cloud: “This is My Son, the beloved; listen to Him.”

²⁹ Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you should believe in Him whom He has sent.”

³⁴ A new commandment I give to you, that you should love one another. As I have loved you, so you also should love one another.

¹ Let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in Me.

¹² This is My commandment, that you love one another as I loved you.

³ Now this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.

³¹ And they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, you and your household.”

² and walk in love, just as Christ also loved us and gave Himself up for us as an offering and a sacrifice to God, into an aroma of a sweet smell.

⁹ Now concerning brotherly love, you have no need for me to write to you, for you yourselves are taught by God in order to love one another.

¹⁵ Trustworthy is the saying, and worthy of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost.

²² Having purified your souls in obedience to the truth unto sincere brotherly love, love one another fervently, out of a pure heart,

⁸ above all things, having fervent love among yourselves, because love covers over a multitude of sins,

⁸ Again, I am writing a new commandment to you, which is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing away and the true light already shines. ⁹ The one claiming to be in the light and hating his brother is in the darkness even until now. ¹⁰ The one loving his brother abides in the light, and in him there is no cause for stumbling.

¹¹ For this is the message that you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another,

²¹ And this commandment we have from Him, that the one loving God should love his brother also.
