¹³ For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ.

²⁴ And the one having received the one talent, having come, also said, ‘Master, I knew you, that you are a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering from where you did not scatter.

¹ But certain ones having come down from Judea were teaching the brothers, “Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you are not able to be saved.”

²⁴ Inasmuch as we have heard that some went out from us, to whom we had given no instructions, and troubled you by words, upsetting your minds,

³⁰ and out from your own selves, men will rise up, speaking perverse things to draw away disciples after them.

¹⁸ For such do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own belly; and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive.

¹⁷ For we are not like the many, peddling the word of God, but as of sincerity, but as of God, we speak before God in Christ.

² But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor falsifying the word of God, but by manifestation of the truth, commending ourselves to every man’s conscience before God.

¹⁵ Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their deeds.

⁷ which is not another, except there are some who are troubling you and are desiring to pervert the gospel of Christ.

⁴ even because of the false brothers brought in secretly, who came in by stealth to spy out our freedom which we have in Christ Jesus that they will enslave us,

¹⁷ They zealously seek you, not rightly. But they desire to isolate you from us, so that you might be zealous after them.

¹² As many as desire to have a fair appearance in the flesh, these compel you to be circumcised, only that they might not be persecuted for the cross of Christ.

¹⁴ so that no longer we might be infants, being tossed by waves and being carried about by every wind of teaching in the cunning, in the craftiness of men with a view to the scheming of deceit.

¹⁵ For some, even from envy and strife, are proclaiming Christ, but some also from goodwill— ¹⁶ the ones indeed out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel;

² Beware of the dogs! Beware of the evil workers! Beware of the false circumcision!

⁴ I say this so that no one might delude you by persuasive speech.

⁸ Take heed lest there will be anyone taking you captive through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the principles of the world and not according to Christ.

⁴ nor to give heed to myths and endless genealogies, which bring speculations rather than God’s stewardship, which is in faith. ⁵ Now the goal of our instruction is love out of a pure heart, and a good conscience, and a sincere faith, ⁶ from which some, having missed the mark, have turned aside to meaningless discourse, ⁷ desiring to be teachers of the Law, understanding neither what they are saying nor that about which they confidently assert.

¹ But the Spirit expressly states that in later times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, ² in the hypocrisy of liars, having been seared in the own conscience, ³ forbidding to marry, commanding to abstain from foods that God created for reception with thanksgiving by the faithful and those knowing the truth.

³ If anyone teaches another doctrine and does not draw near, being sound in the words of our Lord Jesus Christ and the teaching according to godliness, ⁴ he is puffed up, knowing nothing, but unhealthy about controversies and disputes about words, out of which come envy, strife, slander, evil suspicions, ⁵ and constant frictions among men corrupted in mind and destitute of the truth, holding godliness to be a means of gain.

¹⁷ and their talk will have pasture to grow like gangrene, among whom are Hymenaeus and Philetus, ¹⁸ who have gone astray concerning the truth, asserting the resurrection already to have taken place; and they are overthrowing the faith of some. ¹⁹ Nevertheless, the firm foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those being His,” and, “Let everyone naming the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.”

⁵ having a form of godliness but denying its power. And turn away from these. ⁶ For out of this sort are those entering into households and taking captive weak women, burdened with sins, being led away by various passions, ⁷ always learning and never being able to come to a knowledge of the truth. ⁸ Now as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these oppose the truth, men being depraved in mind, disqualified regarding the faith. ⁹ But they will not advance much further, for their folly will be plain to all, as also that of those two became.

³ For there will be a time when they will not endure sound teaching, but according to the own desires, having an itching ear, they will gather around them teachers to suit themselves, ⁴ and indeed they will turn away from hearing the truth, and will be turned aside unto myths.

¹⁰ For there are also many insubordinate, empty talkers, and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision, ¹¹ whom it is necessary to silence, who overthrow whole households, teaching things that they ought not for the sake of base gain.

¹ But there were also false prophets among the people, as there will be false teachers among you also, who will stealthily introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master having bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. ² And many will follow after their sensuality, through whom the way of the truth will be maligned. ³ And through covetousness they will exploit you with fabricated words, for whom the judgment of long ago is not idle, and their destruction does not slumber.

¹⁸ Little children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have arisen, whereby we know that it is the last hour.

¹ Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

⁷ For many deceivers have entered into the world, those not confessing Jesus Christ coming in flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist. ⁸ Watch yourselves, so that you should not lose what things we have worked for, but you may receive a full reward. ⁹ Anyone going on ahead, and not abiding in the teaching of Christ, does not have God. The one abiding in the teaching, this one has both the Father and the Son. ¹⁰ If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into the house, and do not tell him to rejoice. ¹¹ For the one telling him to rejoice partakes in his evil works.

⁴ For certain men came in stealthily, those having been designated long ago unto this condemnation, ungodly ones changing the grace of our God into sensuality and denying our only master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

² I know your works and your labor and endurance, and that you are not able to tolerate evil ones. And you have tested those claiming to be apostles and are not, and you have found them false.

⁹ I know your tribulation and poverty—but you are rich—and the blasphemy of those claiming themselves to be Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.

²⁰ But I have against you that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, the one calling herself a prophetess and teaching and misleading My servants to commit sexual immorality and to eat things sacrificed to idols.

²⁰ And the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet, the one having done the signs before him, by which he deceived those having received the mark of the beast and those worshiping its image. The two were cast living into the lake of fire burning with brimstone.
