²⁵ And of him reasoning concerning righteousness and self-control and the coming judgment, Felix, having become frightened, answered, “Go away for the present, and having found opportunity, I will call for you.”

⁵ Although wishing to kill him, he feared the multitude, because they were holding him as a prophet. ⁶ But on the birthday of Herod having been celebrated, the daughter of Herodias danced in the midst, and pleased Herod, ⁷ whereupon he promised with an oath to give to her whatever she should ask. ⁸ And having been urged on by her mother she says, “Give me here upon a platter the head of John the Baptist.” ⁹ And the king having been grieved, on account of the oaths and those reclining with him, he commanded it to be given. ¹⁰ And having sent, he beheaded John in the prison.

⁵ And having paid no attention they went away, one to the own field, and one to his business.

¹ Then the kingdom of the heavens will be likened to ten virgins, who, having taken their lamps, went forth to meet the bridegroom. ² And five of them were foolish, and five wise. ³ For the foolish, having taken their lamps, took no oil with them; ⁴ but the wise took oil in vessels with their lamps. ⁵ And the bridegroom tarrying, they all became drowsy and were sleeping. ⁶ And at the middle of the night, there was a cry: ‘Behold, the bridegroom! Go forth to meet him!’ ⁷ Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. ⁸ And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ ⁹ And the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest it might not suffice for us and you. Go rather to those selling, and buy for yourselves.’ ¹⁰ And while they are going away to buy, the bridegroom came, and those ready went in with him to the wedding feast. And the door was shut.

³¹ And when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit upon His throne of glory. ³² And all the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. ³³ And indeed He will set the sheep on His right hand, and the goats on His left. ³⁴ Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, those being blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom having been prepared for you from the foundation of the world. ³⁵ For I hungered, and you gave Me to eat; I thirsted, and you gave Me to drink; I was a stranger, and you took Me in; ³⁶ naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.’ ³⁷ Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungering, and fed You? Or thirsting, and gave You to drink? ³⁸ And when did we see You a stranger, and took You in? Or naked, and clothed You? ³⁹ And when did we see You ailing or in prison, and came to You?’ ⁴⁰ And the King answering, will say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did it to Me.’ ⁴¹ Then also He will say to those on the left, ‘Depart from Me, those being cursed, into the eternal fire, having been prepared for the devil and his angels. ⁴² For I hungered, and you gave to Me nothing to eat; and I thirsted, and You gave Me nothing to drink; ⁴³ I was a stranger, and You did not take Me in; naked, and you did not clothe Me; sick and in prison, and you did not visit Me.’ ⁴⁴ Then they also will answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungering, or thirsting, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister to You?’ ⁴⁵ Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it to one of the least of these, neither did you to Me.’ ⁴⁶ And these will go away into eternal punishment; but the righteous into eternal life.”

¹⁸ For John had been saying to Herod, “It is not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife.” ¹⁹ And Herodias held it against him, and wished to kill him, and was not able. ²⁰ For Herod was afraid of John, knowing him a righteous and holy man; and he kept him safe. And having heard him, he was greatly perplexed, and heard him gladly. ²¹ And an opportune day having come, when Herod on his birthday made a banquet to his great men, and to the chief captains, and to the leading men of Galilee, ²² and the daughter of Herodias herself having come in, and having danced, pleased Herod and those reclining with him. And the king said the to the girl, “Ask me whatever you wish, and I will give to you.” ²³ And he swore to her, “Whatever you might ask me, I will give you, up to half of my kingdom.” ²⁴ And she having gone out, said to her mother, “What shall I ask?” And she said, “The head of John the one baptizing.”

²⁴ “Strive to enter in through the narrow door; for many, I say to you, will seek to enter in, and will not be able. ²⁵ From the time the master of the house shall have risen up and shall have shut the door, then you shall begin to stand outside and to knock at the door, saying, ‘Lord, open to us.’ And he answering, will say to you, ‘I do not know from where you are.’

²⁶ And as it came to pass in the days of Noah, thus also will it be in the days of the Son of Man: ²⁷ They were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying, they were being given in marriage, until that day Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came and destroyed all. ²⁸ Likewise, as it came to pass in the days of Lot, they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, they were building; ²⁹ and in that day Lot went out from Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed all.

⁸ And having come, He will convict the world concerning sin, and concerning righteousness, and concerning judgment:

³⁷ And having heard, they were pierced to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Men, brothers, what shall we do?”

⁶ But rise up and enter into the city, and it will be told you that which it behooves you to do.”

⁴² And He instructed us to proclaim to the people and to testify fully that He is the One having been appointed by God as judge of the living and the dead.

²⁹ And having called for lights, he rushed in, and having become terrified, he fell down before Paul and Silas. ³⁰ And having brought them out, he was saying, “Sirs, what is necessary of me to do, that I may be saved?” ³¹ And they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, you and your household.” ³² And they spoke the word of the Lord to him along with all those in his house. ³³ And having taken them in that hour of the night, he washed them from the wounds, and immediately he was baptized, and all his household. ³⁴ And having brought them into the house, he laid a table for them and rejoiced with all his household, having believed in God.

² And according to the custom with Paul, he went in to them and for three Sabbaths reasoned with them from the Scriptures,

¹³ But when the Jews from Thessalonica learned that the word of God also was proclaimed by Paul in Berea, they came there also, stirring up and agitating the crowds.

³² Now having heard of a resurrection of the dead, some indeed began to mock him, but some said, “We will hear you concerning this again also.”

¹⁵ having a hope in God, which they themselves also await, that there is about to be a resurrection, both of the just and of the unjust.

²⁶ At the same time also he is hoping that riches will be given him by Paul. So also sending for him often, he was talking with him.

²⁸ Then Agrippa said to Paul, “Within so little time do you persuade me to become a Christian?”

¹⁶ on that day when God will judge the secrets of men according to my gospel, by Christ Jesus.

¹⁹ Now we know that whatever the Law says, it speaks to those under the Law, so that every mouth may be stopped, and the whole world may be under judgment to God. ²⁰ Therefore by works of the Law, not any flesh will be justified before Him; for through the Law is knowledge of sin.

¹ Therefore I exhort you, brothers, through the compassions of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy to God, well-pleasing, which is your reasonable service.

¹² So then, each of us will give account concerning himself to God.

⁵ Therefore do not judge anything before the time, until the Lord shall have come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the motives of the hearts; and then the praise will come to each from God.

²⁴ But if all prophesy, and some unbeliever or uninstructed should come in, he is convicted by all, he is examined by all, ²⁵ and the secrets of his heart become manifest. And thus having fallen upon his face, he will worship God, declaring that God is certainly among you.

¹⁰ For we must all be revealed before the judgment seat of Christ, that each may receive back the things done through the body according to what he did, whether good or evil.

² For He says: “In the acceptable time I listened to you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” Behold, now is the time of favor; behold, now is the day of salvation.

²² But the Scripture imprisoned all things under sin, so that by faith from Jesus Christ, the promise might be given to those believing.

²³ gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law.

⁷ and to you being oppressed, repose with us at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven, with His mighty angels, ⁸ in a fire of flame, inflicting vengeance on those not knowing God and on those not obeying the gospel of our Lord Jesus, ⁹ who will suffer the penalty of eternal destruction away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, ¹⁰ when in that day He shall come to be glorified in His saints, and to be marveled at among all those having believed because our testimony to you was believed,

¹ I earnestly declare before God and Christ Jesus, the One being about to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom:

¹¹ For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, ¹² instructing us that, having denied ungodliness and worldly passions, we should live discreetly and righteously and piously in the present age,

⁷ Therefore, just as the Holy Spirit says: “Today if you should hear His voice, ⁸ do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion, in the day of testing in the wilderness,

¹³ But encourage one another every day, while it is called today, so that not one of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.

¹ Therefore, of the promise to enter into His rest left remaining, we should fear, lest ever any of you should seem to have fallen short.

¹¹ Therefore we should be diligent to enter into that rest, so that no one should fall by the same example of disobedience. ¹² For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating even as far as the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrows, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

² instruction about baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of the resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

²⁷ And inasmuch as it is apportioned to men to die once, and after this, judgment,

²¹ And the thing appearing was so fearful that Moses said, “I am greatly afraid and trembling.”

¹⁹ You believe that God is one. You are doing well! Even the demons believe that, and shudder!

¹³ Come now, those saying, “Today or tomorrow we will go into this city, and will spend a year there, and will trade, and will make a profit,” ¹⁴ who know not what is on the next day. What is your life? It is just a vapor, appearing for a little while, and then vanishing.

¹⁵ But in your hearts sanctify Christ as Lord, always ready for a defense to everyone asking you an account concerning the hope in you; yet with gentleness and fear,

⁴ With respect to this, they think it strange of you not running with them into the same overflow of debauchery, speaking evil of you, ⁵ who will give account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.

⁶ and into knowledge self-control, and into self-control endurance, and into endurance godliness,

⁷ Little children, let no one lead you astray; the one practicing righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.

¹⁰ Through this, the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: anyone not practicing righteousness is not of God, and also the one not loving his brother.

¹¹ And I saw a great white throne and the One sitting on it, from whose face the earth and heaven fled, and no place was found for them. ¹² And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the one of life. And the dead were judged out of the things having been written in the books, according to their deeds. ¹³ And the sea gave up the dead who were in it; and death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them; and each of them were judged according to their works. ¹⁴ And death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. ¹⁵ And if anyone was not found having been written in the book of life, he was cast into the lake of fire.
