¹⁶ His disciples did not know these things from the first, but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written of Him, and these things they had done to Him.

³² And they did not understand the saying, and they were afraid to ask Him.

¹⁹ Therefore indeed the Lord Jesus, after speaking to them, was taken up into the heaven and sat at the right hand of God.

⁴⁵ But they did not understand this saying, and it was veiled from them, that they should not understand it. And they were afraid to ask Him concerning this saying.

³⁴ And they understood none of these things, and this word was hidden from them, and they did not know the things being spoken.

⁶ He is not here, but He is risen! Remember how He spoke to you, being yet in Galilee, ⁷ saying, ‘It behooves the Son of Man to be delivered into hands of sinful men, and to be crucified, and the third day to arise.’” ⁸ And they remembered His words.

²⁵ And He said to them, “O foolish and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken.

⁴⁵ Then He opened their mind to understand the Scriptures.

²² Therefore when He was raised up out from the dead, His disciples remembered that He had said this, and they believed the Scripture and the word that Jesus had spoken.

³⁹ Now He said this concerning the Spirit, whom those having believed in Him were about to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

²³ And Jesus answered them, saying, “The hour has come that Son of Man should be glorified.

³¹ Therefore when he had gone out, Jesus says, “Now the Son of Man has been glorified, and God has been glorified in Him. ³² If God is glorified in Him, God also will glorify Him in Himself, and will glorify Him immediately.

²⁶ But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things and will bring to your remembrance all things that I have said to you.

⁴ But I have said these things to you, so that when their hour might have come, you may remember that I said them to you. Now I did not say these things to you from the beginning, because I was with you.

⁵ And now glorify Me, You Father, with Yourself, with the glory that I had with You before the world existed.

³³ Therefore having been exalted at the right hand of God, and having received the promise of the Holy Spirit from the Father, He has poured out this which you are both seeing and hearing.

³⁶ Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made Him both Lord and Christ—this Jesus whom you crucified.”

¹³ The God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified His servant Jesus, whom indeed you betrayed and disowned in the presence of Pilate, that one having adjudged to release Him.

¹ Now the point of the things being spoken of is that we have such a high priest, who sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens,

² looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who in view of the joy lying before Him endured the cross, having despised its shame, and sat down at right hand of the throne of God.
