1 After these things, Jesus revealed Himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias. Now He revealed Himself in this way:
2 Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael from Cana of Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two others of His disciples were together.
3 Simon Peter says to them, “I am going to fish.” They say to him, “We also are coming with you.” They went forth and went up into the boat, and during that night they caught nothing.
4 Now morning already having come, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not know that it is Jesus.
5 Therefore Jesus says to them, “Children do you have any food?” They answered Him, “No.”
6 And He said to them, “Cast the net to the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast, and they were not able to haul it in from the multitude of the fish.
7 Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved says to Peter, “It is the Lord.” So Simon Peter, having heard that it is the Lord, put on the outer garment, (for he was naked), and he cast himself into the sea.
8 Now the other disciples came in the boat, dragging the net with the fish, for they were not far from the land, but about two hundred cubits away.
9 So when they got out onto the land, they see a fire of coals lying, and a fish lying on it, and bread.
10 Jesus says to them, “Bring some of the fish that you have now caught.”
11 Therefore Simon Peter went up and drew the net to the land, full of large fish, a hundred fifty-three. Although there are so many, the net was not torn.
12 Jesus says to them, “Come, have breakfast.” But none of the disciples dared to ask Him, “Who are You?” knowing that it is the Lord.
13 Jesus comes and takes the bread and gives it to them, and the fish likewise.
14 This is now the third time Jesus was revealed the disciples, having been raised out from the dead.
15 Therefore when they had dined, Jesus says to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love Me more than these?” He says to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I dearly love You.” He says to him, “Feed My lambs.”
16 He says to him again a second time, “Simon son of John, do you love Me?” He says to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I dearly love You.” He says to him, “Shepherd My sheep.”
17 He says to him the third time, “Simon son of John, do you dearly love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you dearly love Me?” And he said to Him, “Lord, You know all things; You know that I dearly love You.” Jesus says to him, “Feed My sheep.
18 Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were younger, you dressed yourself and walked where you desired; but when you shall be old, you will stretch forth your hands, and another will dress you and will bring you where you do not desire.”
19 Now He said this signifying by what death he will glorify God. And having said this, He says to him, “Follow Me.”
20 Having turned, Peter sees the disciple whom Jesus loved following, the one who also had reclined on His bosom at the supper and said, “Lord, who is it who is betraying You?”
21 Therefore having seen him, Peter says to Jesus, “Lord, and what about this man?”
22 Jesus says to him, “If I desire him to remain until I come, what is it to you? You follow Me!”
23 Therefore this saying went out among the brothers, that this disciple does not die. But Jesus had not said to him that he does not die, but, “If I desire him to remain until I come, what is it to you?”
24 This is the disciple bearing witness concerning these things, and the one having written these things. And we know that his testimony is true.
25 Now there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if every one should be written, I suppose not even the world itself to have space for the books to be written.

16 He says to him again a second time, “Simon son of John, do you love Me?” He says to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I dearly love You.” He says to him, “Shepherd My sheep.”

12 For our boasting is this: the testimony of our conscience that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and more abundantly toward you, in the purity and sincerity of God, and not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God.
2 Corinthians 2:4-7
4 For out of much affliction and anguish of heart, I wrote to you through many tears, not that you might be grieved, but that you might know the love that I have more abundantly toward you.
5 But if anyone has caused grief, he not grieved me, but—in part, that I might not put it too severely—you all.
6 The punishment which is by the majority is sufficient to such a one,
7 so that on the contrary, rather for you to forgive and to comfort him, lest perhaps such a one should be overwhelmed by more abundant sorrow.
2 Corinthians 7:8-11
8 For if also I have grieved you in the letter, I do not regret it. For even if I did regret it, I see that the letter grieved you, even if for an hour.
9 Now I rejoice, not that you were grieved, but that you were grieved into repentance. For you were grieved according to God, so that you might suffer loss in nothing through us.
10 For grief according to God produces repentance to salvation without regret; but the world’s grief produces death.
11 For behold, how much earnestness this very same thing—to have been grieved according to God—has produced in you: but reasoned defense, but indignation, but fear, but longing, but zeal, but vindication! In everything, you have proved yourselves to be innocent in this matter.
2 Corinthians 8:8-9
Ephesians 4:30
30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

6 in which you greatly rejoice, at present for a little while if it is being necessary, having been put to grief by various trials,
2 Peter 1:12-15
12 Therefore I will be ready always to remind you concerning these things, though knowing them and having been strengthened in the truth being present in you.
13 Now I esteem it right, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance,
14 knowing that the putting off of my tabernacle is impending, as also our Lord Jesus Christ has made clear to me.
15 And I will be diligent also for you to have at every time after my departure these things, to make a lasting remembrance.
2 Peter 3:1
1 Beloved, this is now the second letter I am writing to you, in both of which I am stirring up your pure mind in putting you in remembrance
1 John 3:16-24
16 By this we have known love, because He laid down His life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.
17 Now whoever might have the world’s goods, and might see his brother having need, and might close up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?
18 Little children, we should love not in word, nor in tongue, but in action and in truth.
19 And by this we will know that we are of the truth, and we will assure our heart before Him,
20 that if our heart should condemn us, that God is greater than our heart, and He knows all things.
21 Beloved, if our heart should not condemn us, we have confidence toward God,
22 and whatever we might ask, we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and we do the things pleasing before Him.
23 And this is His commandment, that we should believe in the name of His Son, Jesus Christ, and we should love one another, just as He gave the commandment to us.
24 And the one keeping His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us: by the Spirit whom He has given to us.

4 And indeed, being in the tent we groan, being burdened, because we do not wish to be unclothed but to be clothed, so that the mortal may be swallowed up by life.

22 And Peter having taken Him aside, began to rebuke Him, saying, “Far be it from You, Lord! This never will be to You!”
23 And having turned, He said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me. For your thoughts are not of the things of God, but the things of men.”
24 Then Jesus said His to disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.

34 And having summoned the crowd with His disciples, He said to them, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and let him take up his cross, and let him follow Me.
35 For whoever might desire to save his life will lose it, and whoever will lose his life on account of Me and of the gospel, he will save it.
36 For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and to lose his soul?
37 For what shall a man give as an exchange for his soul?
38 For whoever may be ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man also will be ashamed of him when He shall come in the glory of His Father, with the holy angels.”
Luke 9:22-26
22 having said, “It is necessary for the Son of Man to suffer many things, and to be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and to be killed, and on the third day to be raised.”

24 For whoever might desire to save his life will lose it; but whoever might lose his life on account of me, he will save it.
25 For what is a man profited, having gained the whole world, and having destroyed or having suffered the loss of himself?
26 For whoever may have been ashamed of Me and My words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when He shall come in His glory, and that of the Father and of the holy angels.

11 if anyone speaks, as oracles of God; if anyone serves, as of strength which God supplies, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory and the power to the ages of the ages. Amen.
12 Beloved, do not be surprised at the fire among you taking place for a trial to you, as if a strange thing were happening to you.
13 But as you have shared in the sufferings of Christ, rejoice, so that also in the revelation of His glory you may rejoice, exulting.
14 If you are insulted in the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.
