¹⁹ And this is the judgement, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light; for their deeds were evil.

²⁰ Then He began to denounce the cities in which most of His miracles had taken place, because they did not repent. ²¹ “Woe to you Chorazin! Woe to you Bethsaida! For if the miracles having taken place in you had taken place in Tyre and Sidon, then they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. ²² But I say to you, in the day of judgment it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon than for you. ²³ And you, Capernaum, will not be exalted to heaven, but will be brought down to Hades! For if the miracles having taken place in you had taken place in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. ²⁴ But I say to you that in day of judgment it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom than for you.”

¹¹ ‘Even the dust from your city having clung to our feet, we wipe off against you; yet know this, that the kingdom of God has drawn near.’ ¹² I say to you that it will be more tolerable in that day for Sodom than for that city. ¹³ Woe to you, Chorazin! No, you will be brought down to Hades. ¹⁶ The one hearing you hears Me; and the one rejecting you rejects Me; and the one rejecting Me rejects the One having sent Me.”

⁴⁷ Now that servant, the one having known the will of his master, and not having prepared nor having done according to his will, will be beaten with many blows.

¹⁴ Now the Pharisees, being lovers of money, were listening to all these things, and they were ridiculing Him.

⁴ In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.

⁹ The true Light who enlightens every man was coming into the world. ¹⁰ He was in the world, and the world came into being through Him, and the world did not know Him. ¹¹ He came to the own, and the own did not receive Him.

⁴⁴ How are you able to believe, receiving glory from one another, and you do not seek the glory that is from the only God?

⁷ The world is not able to hate you; but it hates Me, because I bear witness concerning it that its works are evil.

¹⁷ If anyone desires to do His will, he will know concerning the teaching, whether it is from God, or I speak from Myself.

¹² Therefore Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. The one following Me shall not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.”

⁴⁴ You are of your father the devil, and you desire to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has not stood in the truth, because there is no truth in him. Whenever he might speak falsehood, he speaks from the own; for he is a liar, and the father of it. ⁴⁵ Now because I speak the truth, you do not believe Me!

³⁹ And Jesus said, “For judgment I came into this world, that those not seeing may see, and those seeing may become blind.” ⁴⁰ Some of the Pharisees who were with Him heard these things, and they said to Him, “Are we also blind?” ⁴¹ Jesus said to them, “If you were blind, you would have no sin. But since you say, ‘We see,’ your sin remains.”

²⁶ But you do not believe, because you are not from among My sheep. ²⁷ My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

⁴³ For they loved the glory of men more than the glory of God.

²² If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have had sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin. ²³ The one hating Me hates My Father also. ²⁴ If I had not done among them the works that no other has done, they would not have had sin; but now they have both seen and hated both Me and My Father. ²⁵ But this is that the word having been written in their Law may be fulfilled: ‘They hated Me without cause.’

²¹ other than concerning this one voice, which I cried out standing among them: ‘I am judged by you this day concerning the resurrection of the dead.’” ²² But Felix, more precisely having knowledge of the things concerning the Way, put them off, having said, “When Lysias the commander might have come down, I will examine the things as to you,” ²³ having commanded the centurion to keep him and to let him have ease and not to forbid his own to minister to him. ²⁴ Then after some days, Felix, having arrived with the own wife Drusilla, being a Jewess, sent for Paul and heard him concerning the faith in Christ Jesus. ²⁵ And of him reasoning concerning righteousness and self-control and the coming judgment, Felix, having become frightened, answered, “Go away for the present, and having found opportunity, I will call for you.” ²⁶ At the same time also he is hoping that riches will be given him by Paul. So also sending for him often, he was talking with him.

³² who having known the righteous judgment of God, that those doing such things are worthy of death, not only are practicing them, but are also approving of those practicing them.

⁸ but to those of self-interest and disobeying the truth, but being persuaded about unrighteousness, wrath and anger;

¹⁵ For we are a sweet perfume of Christ to God in those being saved and in those perishing: ¹⁶ to one indeed an odor from death to death, and to the other a fragrance from life to life. And who is sufficient for these things?

¹² in order that all those not having believed the truth but having delighted in unrighteousness should be judged.

¹² Take heed, brothers, lest ever there will be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, into falling away from the living God. ¹³ But encourage one another every day, while it is called today, so that not one of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.

⁸ and, “A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense.” They stumble at being disobedient to the word, to which also they were appointed.

³ first knowing this, that in the last days scoffers will come with scoffing, following according to their own evil desires,
