⁴⁷ Jesus saw Nathanael coming to Him, and He says concerning him, “Behold, truly an Israelite, in whom there is no deceit.”

³⁹ You diligently search the Scriptures because you think to have eternal life in them, and these are they bearing witness concerning Me;

⁴ Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch is not able to bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither you, unless you abide in Me. ⁵ I am the vine; you are the branches. The one abiding in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit. For apart from Me you are able to do nothing.

¹¹ Now these, who were more noble than those in Thessalonica, received the word with all readiness, on every day examining the Scriptures, whether these things were so. ¹² Therefore many of them indeed believed, and not a few of the prominent Grecian women and men.

¹⁰ But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me has not been void. Rather, I toiled more abundantly than all of them, yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.

¹² For our boasting is this: the testimony of our conscience that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and more abundantly toward you, in the purity and sincerity of God, and not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God.

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, ²³ gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law.

⁸ For the one sowing to his own flesh, from the flesh will reap decay. But the one sowing to the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

⁹ for the fruit of the light is in all goodness and righteousness and truth—

¹¹ being filled with the fruit of righteousness that is through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

¹³ For God is the One working in you both to will and to work according to His good pleasure.

²⁹ Unto this also I toil, striving according to His energy, working in me in power.

²¹ equip you in everything good, in order to do His will, working in us that which is well pleasing before Him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory to the ages of the ages. Amen.

²² Having purified your souls in obedience to the truth unto sincere brotherly love, love one another fervently, out of a pure heart,

⁵ Now also for this very reason, having brought in all earnestness, supplement into your faith virtue, and into virtue knowledge, ⁶ and into knowledge self-control, and into self-control endurance, and into endurance godliness, ⁷ and into godliness brotherly affection, and into brotherly affection love. ⁸ For these things being in you and abounding, make you neither idle nor unfruitful as to the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. ⁹ For in whomever these things are not present, he is blind, being short sighted, having received forgetfulness of the purification from his former sins. ¹⁰ Therefore, brothers, be diligent, rather, to make your calling and election sure. For practicing these things, never at any time shall you stumble.

⁶ If we should say that we have fellowship with Him, and yet should walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.

²⁷ And you, the anointing that you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But just as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things and is true and is no lie, and just as it has taught you, you shall abide in Him. ²⁸ And now, little children, abide in Him, so that when He appears we might have boldness and not shrink away from Him in shame at His coming. ²⁹ If you know that He is righteous, you know also that everyone practicing righteousness has been begotten of Him.

¹² No one has seen God at any time; if we should love one another, God abides in us, and His love is having been perfected in us. ¹³ By this we know that we abide in Him and He in us: because He has given to us from out of His Spirit.

¹⁵ Whoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. ¹⁶ And we have come to know and have come to believe the love that God has as to us. God is love, and the one abiding in love abides in God, and God abides in him.

¹¹ Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. The one doing good is of God; the one doing evil has not seen God.

¹ And to the messenger of the church in Sardis write: These things says the One having the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars. I know your deeds, that you have the characterization that you are alive, and yet you are dead. ² Be watching, and strengthen the things that remain, which are about to die; for I have not found your works having been completed in the sight of My God.

¹⁵ I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you would be cold or hot.
