²³ But an hour is coming and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father also seeks such who worship Him.

⁷ Hypocrites! Isaiah prophesied rightly concerning you, saying, ⁸ ‘This people honors Me with the lips, but their heart is kept far away from Me. ⁹ And in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the precepts of men.’”

¹¹ The Pharisee having stood, was praying toward himself thus: ‘God, I thank You that I am not like the rest of the men—swindlers, unrighteous, adulterers—or even like this tax collector. ¹² I fast twice in the week; I tithe all things, as many as I gain.’ ¹³ But the tax collector, standing afar off, was not even willing to lift up the eyes to heaven, but was striking his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, the sinner!’

¹⁷ For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

²¹ Jesus says to her, “Believe Me, woman, that an hour is coming when neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father.

²⁵ Truly, truly, I say to you that an hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those having heard will live.

²³ And Jesus answered them, saying, “The hour has come that Son of Man should be glorified.

³² Behold, an hour is coming and has come, when you will be scattered, each to the own, and I, you shall leave alone; yet I am not alone, for the Father is with Me.

⁹ For God, whom I serve in my spirit in the gospel of His Son, is my witness how unceasingly I make mention of you,

¹⁵ For you have not received a spirit of bondage again to fear, but you have received the Spirit of divine adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!”

²⁶ Now likewise also, the Spirit joins to help us in weakness; for we do not know the things which we should pray for as it behooves, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession with inexpressible groanings.

⁶ And because you are sons, God sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!”

¹⁸ through all prayer and supplication, praying in the Spirit in every season and unto this very thing, watching with all perseverance and supplication for all saints,

³ For we are the circumcision, those worshiping in the Spirit of God, and glorying in Christ Jesus, and not trusting in the flesh—

⁹ But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of the One having called you out of darkness into His marvelous light,

²⁰ But you, beloved, building up yourselves in your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, ²¹ keep yourselves in the love of God, awaiting the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
