¹ Now at the same time some were present, telling Him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. ² And answering, He said to them, “Do you think that these Galileans were sinners beyond all the Galileans, because they have suffered such things? ³ No, I say to you; but unless you repent, you will all perish likewise. ⁴ Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them: Do you think that these were debtors beyond all the men dwelling in Jerusalem? ⁵ No, I say to you; but unless you repent, you will all perish likewise.” ⁶ And He was speaking this parable: “A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came seeking fruit on it, and not did find any. ⁷ And he said to the vinedresser, ‘Behold, throughout these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and do not find any. Therefore cut it down! Why even should it use up the ground?’ ⁸ And answering, he says to him, ‘Sir, let it alone this year also, until I shall dig around it, and put in manure, ⁹ and if indeed it should bear fruit in the time, so be it. But if not, you will cut it down.’” ¹⁰ And He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbaths. ¹¹ And behold, a woman having a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and she was bent over and not able to lift herself up to the full. ¹² And having seen her, Jesus called her near and said to her, “Woman, you have been freed from your sickness.” ¹³ And He laid the hands upon her, and immediately she was made straight and began to glorify God. ¹⁴ And answering, the ruler of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, was saying to the crowd, “There are six days in which it behooves one to work. Therefore coming, be healed in these, and not on the day of the Sabbath.” ¹⁵ Therefore the Lord answered him and said, “Hypocrites! Does not each one of you untie his ox or donkey from the stall on the Sabbath, and having led it away, give it to drink? ¹⁶ And this, being a daughter of Abraham whom Satan has bound, behold, eighteen years, ought she not to be loosed from this bond on the day of the Sabbath?” ¹⁷ And of Him saying these things, all those opposed to Him were ashamed; and the whole crowd was rejoicing at all the glorious things that were being done by Him. ¹⁸ And He was saying, “To what is the kingdom of God like? And to what shall I liken it? ¹⁹ It is like to a grain of mustard, which a man having taken, cast into his garden; and it grew and came into a tree, and the birds of the air encamped in its branches.” ²⁰ And again He said, “To what shall I liken the kingdom of God? ²¹ It is like to leaven, which a woman, having taken, hid in three measures of meal, until it all was leavened.” ²² And He was going through by towns and villages, teaching and making progress toward Jerusalem. ²³ And someone said to Him, “Lord, if those being saved are few?” And He said to them, ²⁴ “Strive to enter in through the narrow door; for many, I say to you, will seek to enter in, and will not be able. ²⁵ From the time the master of the house shall have risen up and shall have shut the door, then you shall begin to stand outside and to knock at the door, saying, ‘Lord, open to us.’ And he answering, will say to you, ‘I do not know from where you are.’ ²⁶ Then will you begin to say, ‘We ate and drank in your presence, and you taught in our streets.’ ²⁷ And he will say, ‘I tell you, I do not know from where you are; depart from me, all you workers of unrighteousness.’ ²⁸ There will be weeping and gnashing of the teeth when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you are being cast out. ²⁹ And they will come from east and west, and from north and south, and will recline in the kingdom of God. ³⁰ And behold, there are last who will be first, and there are first who will be last.” ³¹ In the same hour certain Pharisees came near, saying to Him, “Go out and proceed from here, for Herod desires to kill You.” ³² And He said to them, “Having gone, say to that fox, ‘Behold, I cast out demons and I complete cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I am perfected.’ ³³ But it behooves Me to proceed today and tomorrow and the following day. For it is not possible for a prophet to perish outside of Jerusalem. ³⁴ Jerusalem, Jerusalem, killing the prophets, and stoning those having been sent to her, how often I have wanted to gather your children, the way that a hen gathers her brood under the wings, and you were not willing. ³⁵ Behold, your house is left to you. And I say to you, you shall not see Me until the time comes when you say, ‘Blessed is the One coming in the name of the Lord.’”

² And having bound Him, they led Him away and delivered Him to Pilate the governor.

³⁷ After this man, Judas the Galilean rose up in the days of the registration and drew away people after him. And he perished, and all, as many as were persuaded by him, were scattered.

¹⁷ For it is the time for the judgment to have begun from the house of God; and if from us first, what will be the outcome of those disobeying the gospel of God? ¹⁸ And, “If the righteous one is saved with difficulty, where will appear the ungodly and sinner?”

⁴ Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them: Do you think that these were debtors beyond all the men dwelling in Jerusalem?

² And His disciples asked Him, saying, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he should be born blind?”

⁴ And when the natives saw the beast hanging from his hand, they began to say to one another, “By all means this man is a murderer whom, having been saved from the sea, Justice has not permitted to live.”

² and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of the heavens has drawn near.”

¹⁰ Already now the ax is applied to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree not producing good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. ¹¹ I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but after me is coming He who is mightier than I, of whom I am not worthy to carry the sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire, ¹² whose winnowing fork is in His hand, and He will clear His threshing floor and will gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”

⁴⁵ Then it goes and takes with itself seven other spirits more evil than itself; and having entered in, they dwell there, and the last of that the man becomes worse than the first. So also will it be unto this evil generation.”

⁷ And the king was angry, and having sent his armies, he destroyed those murderers and burned their city.

³⁵ so that upon you shall come all the righteous blood being poured out upon the earth, from the blood of the righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Berekiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar. ³⁶ Truly I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation. ³⁷ Jerusalem, Jerusalem, killing the prophets and stoning those having been sent to her! How often would I have gathered together your children, the way in which a hen gathers together her chicks under the wings, and you were not willing! ³⁸ Behold, your house is left to you desolate!

²¹ For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, and never shall be. ²² And unless those days had been shortened, no flesh would have been saved; but because of the elect, those days will be shortened. ²³ Then if anyone says to you, ‘Behold, here is the Christ,’ or ‘Here,’ do not believe it. ²⁴ For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will give great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect. ²⁵ Behold, I have foretold you. ²⁶ Therefore if they say to you, ‘Behold, He is in the wilderness,’ do not go forth; or ‘Behold, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe. ²⁷ For just as the lightning comes forth from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. ²⁸ For wherever the carcass may be, there the vultures will be gathered. ²⁹ And immediately after the tribulation of those days: ‘The sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.’

⁵ No, I say to you; but unless you repent, you will all perish likewise.”

⁴² saying, “If you had known in this day, even you, the things for peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes. ⁴³ For days will come upon you that your enemies will cast around you a barricade, and will surround you and will hem you in on every side. ⁴⁴ And they will level you to the ground, and your children within you, and will not leave a stone upon a stone within you, because you did not know the season of your visitation.”

²² For these are the days of avenging, to fulfill all things having been written. ²³ But woe to those having in womb, and to the ones nursing in those days. For there will be great distress upon the land and wrath to this people. ²⁴ And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and will be led captive into all the nations; and Jerusalem will be trodden down by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

²⁸ And having turned to them, Jesus said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for Me, but weep for yourselves and for your children. ²⁹ For behold, the days are coming in which they will say, ‘Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never did bear, and breasts that never nursed.’ ³⁰ Then ‘they will begin to say to the mountains, “Fall upon us,” and to the hills, “Cover us.”’

⁴⁷ and repentance and forgiveness of sins to be proclaimed in His name to all nations, having begun from Jerusalem.

³⁸ And Peter says to them, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. ³⁹ For the promise is to you and to your children and to all those at a distance, as many as the Lord our God shall call to Himself.” ⁴⁰ And he earnestly testified many other words and was exhorting them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation.”

¹⁹ Repent, therefore, and turn again, for the blotting out of your sins,

²¹ And I have given her time that she might repent, and she is not willing to repent of her sexual immorality. ²² Behold, I will cast her into a sickbed, and those committing adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they shall repent of her deeds.

¹² And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.

²⁴ And he having begun to settle, one was brought to him, a debtor of ten thousand talents.

⁴¹ “There were two debtors to a certain creditor. The one owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty. ⁴² They having nothing to pay, he forgave both. Therefore which of them will love him more?”

⁴ And forgive us our sins, for also we ourselves forgive everyone indebted to us; and lead us not into temptation.’”

⁷ And He said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which means Sent). Therefore he went and washed, and came seeing.

¹¹ He answered, “The man called Jesus made clay, and anointed my eyes, and He said to me, ‘Go to Siloam and wash.’ Therefore having gone and having washed, I received sight.”

³ No, I say to you; but unless you repent, you will all perish likewise.

¹⁹ And having seen one fig tree along the road, He came to it and found nothing on it except only leaves. And He says to it, “Never let there be any more fruit from you, to the age.” And the fig tree withered immediately. ²⁰ And having seen it, the disciples marveled, saying, “How did the fig tree wither so quickly?”

³⁴ And when the season of the fruits drew near, he sent his servants to the farmers, to receive his fruits. ³⁵ And the farmers having taken his servants, one they beat, and one they killed, and one they stoned. ³⁶ Again he sent other servants, more than the first, and they did likewise to them. ³⁷ And afterward he sent his son to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’ ³⁸ But the farmers having seen the son, said among themselves, ‘This is the heir; come, let us kill him and gain possession of his inheritance.’ ³⁹ And having taking him, they cast him out of the vineyard and killed him. ⁴⁰ Therefore when the master of the vineyard shall come, what will he do to those farmers?”

¹² And on the next day, they having gone out from Bethany, He was hungry. ¹³ And having seen a fig tree from afar, having leaves, He went to see if perhaps He will find anything on it. And having come to it, He found nothing except leaves; for it was not the season of figs. ¹⁴ And answering He said to it, “May no one eat the fruit of you, no more to the age.” And His disciples were listening.

¹⁰ And in the season, he sent a servant to the farmers, that they will give to him from the fruit of the vineyard. But the farmers sent him away empty-handed, having beaten him. ¹¹ And he proceeded to send another servant; but having beaten him and having dishonored him, they sent him away empty-handed. ¹² And he proceeded to send a third; and having wounded him also, they cast him out. ¹³ Then the master of the vineyard said, ‘What shall I do? I will send my beloved son; perhaps they will respect him.’ ¹⁴ And having seen him, the farmers began reasoning among themselves, saying, ‘This is the heir; let us kill him, so that the inheritance might become ours.’

¹⁶ You did not chose Me, but I chose you and appointed you, that you should go and you should bear fruit, and your fruit should remain, so that whatever you might ask the Father in My name, He may give you.

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

¹⁷ Not that I seek after the gift, but I seek after the fruit abounding to your account.

⁹ And do not presume to say within yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as father.’ For I say to you that out of these stones God is able to raise up children unto Abraham. ¹⁰ Already now the ax is applied to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree not producing good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

¹⁹ Every tree not bearing good fruit is cut down and is thrown into fire.

⁹ And already also the ax is applied to the root of the trees; therefore every tree not producing good fruit is cut down and is thrown into the fire.”

² Every branch not bearing fruit in Me, He takes it away; and every one bearing fruit, He prunes it that it may bear more fruit.

⁶ If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown out like the branch and is dried up, and they gather them and cast them into the fire, and it is burned.

⁴ Or do you despise the riches of His kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance? ⁵ But because of your hardness and unrepentant heart, you are treasuring up to yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgement of God,

¹ Brothers, indeed the desire and supplication of my heart to God on behalf of them is for salvation.

¹⁴ if at all I shall provoke to jealousy my own flesh, and shall save some of them.

⁹ The Lord does not delay the promise, as some esteem slowness, but is patient toward you, not willing for any to perish, but all to come to repentance.

¹⁵ who having killed both the Lord Jesus and their own prophets, and having driven us out, and not pleasing God, are also set against all men,

⁸ But that bringing forth thorns and thistles is worthless and near to a curse, of which the end is unto burning.

³ And they are singing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, “Great and wonderful are Your works, Lord God the Almighty! Righteous and true are Your ways, O King of the nations! ⁴ Who should not fear You, O Lord, and will glorify Your name? For You alone are holy. For all the nations will come and will worship before You, because Your righteous acts have been revealed.”

⁵ And I heard the angel of the waters saying: “Righteous are You the One being, and having been, O holy One, because You have judged these things, ⁶ because they have poured out the blood of saints and of prophets, and You have given to them blood to drink, they are worthy.” ⁷ And I heard the altar saying: “Yes, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are Your judgments.”

²³ And He was going throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness among the people.

¹⁵ And He was teaching in their synagogues, being glorified by all. ¹⁶ And He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up; and according to His custom, He entered into the synagogue on the day of the Sabbaths, and stood up to read.

⁴⁴ And He was preaching in the synagogues of Judea.

³² And as they were going out, behold, they brought to Him a mute man, possessed by a demon. ³³ And the demon having been cast out, the mute man spoke. And the crowds marveled, saying, “Never thus was it seen in Israel.”

²¹ And He asked his father, “How long a time is it that this has been with him?” And he said, “From childhood.

² and certain women who had been cured from evil spirits and infirmities: Mary who is called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out,

²⁷ And He having gone forth upon the land, a certain man out of the city met Him, having demons, and a long time he was not wearing clothing and did not abide in a house, but in the tombs.

⁴³ And a woman being with a flux of blood for twelve years, who, having spent all her living on physicians, was not able to be healed by anyone.

¹⁶ And this, being a daughter of Abraham whom Satan has bound, behold, eighteen years, ought she not to be loosed from this bond on the day of the Sabbath?”

⁵ And a certain man was there, himself being thirty and eight years in infirmity. ⁶ Jesus, having seen him lying and having known that he has been a long time already, says to him, “Do you desire to become well?”

¹⁹ And they asked them, saying, “Is this your son, of whom you say that he was born blind? Then how presently does he see?” ²⁰ Therefore his parents answered and said, “We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind. ²¹ But how he sees presently, we do not know; or who opened his eyes, we do not know. Ask him. He has age. He will speak concerning himself.”

² And a certain man was being carried, being lame from his mother’s womb, whom they placed every day at the temple gate called Beautiful to ask for alms from those going into the temple,

²² For the man on whom this sign of healing had taken place was more than forty years old.

⁸ And in Lystra a certain man was sitting, crippled in the feet, lame from the womb of his mother, who had never walked. ⁹ This man heard Paul speaking, who having looked intently at him and having seen that he has faith to be healed, ¹⁰ said in a loud voice, “Stand upright on your feet!” And he sprang up and began to walk.

¹⁶ And evening having come, they brought to Him many being possessed with demons, and He cast out the spirits with a word and He healed all those being sick,

⁸ And He knew their thoughts, and He said to the man having the withered hand, “Arise and stand in the midst.” And having risen up, he stood. ⁹ Then Jesus said to them, “I ask you whether it is lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil, to save life or to destroy?” ¹⁰ And having looked around on them all, He said to him, “Stretch out your hand.” And he did, and his hand was restored.

²³ and he begs Him much, saying, “My little daughter is holding at the end, that having come, You would lay the hands on her, so that she might be cured, and she shall live.”

⁵ And He was not able to do any work of power there, except having laid the hands on a few sick, He healed them.

²⁵ Then He laid the hands upon his eyes again, and he opened his eyes and was restored, and he began to see everything clearly.

¹⁸ and with their hands they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it shall never hurt them; they will lay hands upon the sick, and they will be well.”

⁴⁰ And at the setting of the sun, all, as many as had any ailing with various diseases, brought them to Him, and having laid the hands on each one of them, He would heal them.

¹⁴ And having seen them, He said to them, “Having gone, show yourselves to the priests.” And it came to pass in their going, they were cleansed. ¹⁵ And one of them, having seen that he was healed, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice, ¹⁶ and he fell on his face at His feet, giving thanks to Him. And he was a Samaritan. ¹⁷ And Jesus, having answered, said, “Were not the ten cleansed? But where are the nine?

⁴³ And immediately he received sight and began following Him, glorifying God. And all the people having seen it gave praise to God.

¹⁷ And Ananias went away and entered into the house; and having laid the hands upon him, he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, the One having appeared to you on the road by which you were coming, has sent me that you may see again and be filled of the Holy Spirit.”

² And the Pharisees, having seen, said to Him, “Behold, Your disciples are doing what it is not lawful to do on Sabbath.”

¹⁰ And behold, a man having a withered hand, and they asked Him saying, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbaths?”—so that they might accuse Him. ¹¹ And He said to them, “What man will there be among you, who will have one sheep, and if it falls into a pit on the Sabbaths, will not take hold of it and will raise it up? ¹² How much more valuable therefore is a man than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbaths.”

² And they were watching Him, whether He will heal him on the Sabbaths, in order that they might accuse Him. ³ And He says to the man having the withered hand, “Arise into the midst.” ⁴ And He says to them, “Is it lawful on the Sabbaths to do good, or to do evil, to save life, or to kill?” But they were silent. ⁵ And having looked around on them with anger, being grieved at the hardness of their heart, He says to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored. ⁶ And the Pharisees having gone out, immediately began to take counsel with the Herodians against Him, how they might destroy Him.

²² And one of the synagogue rulers comes, named Jairus, and having seen Him, falls at His feet,

⁷ And the scribes and the Pharisees were closely watching Him, whether He will heal on the Sabbath, that they might find reason to accuse Him.

¹¹ And they themselves were filled with rage, and were discussing with one another what they might do to Jesus.

⁴¹ And behold, a man whose name was Jairus came, and he was a ruler of the synagogue, and having fallen at the feet of Jesus, he began begging Him to come to his house,

³ And Jesus answering, spoke to the lawyers and to the Pharisees, saying, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath or not?” ⁴ But they were silent. And having taken hold of him, He healed him and let him go. ⁵ And He said to them, “Which of you whose son or ox will fall into a pit on the Sabbath day, also will not immediately pull him up?” ⁶ And they were not able to reply to these things.

¹⁵ The man went away and told the Jews that Jesus is the One having made him well. ¹⁶ And because of this, the Jews were persecuting Jesus, because He was doing these things on the Sabbath.

¹⁴ Now the day in which Jesus had made the clay and opened his eyes was a Sabbath. ¹⁵ Therefore the Pharisees also were asking him again how he had received sight. And he said to them, “He put clay on my eyes, and I washed, and I see.” ¹⁶ Therefore some of the Pharisees were saying, “This man is not from God, for He does not keep the Sabbath.” But others were saying, “How is a sinful man able to do such signs?” And there was division among them.

¹⁵ And after the reading of the Law and of the Prophets, the rulers of the synagogue sent to them, saying, “Men, brothers, if there is any word of exhortation among you toward the people, speak.”

⁸ And Crispus, the ruler of the synagogue, believed in the Lord, with his all household. And many of the Corinthians hearing believed and were baptized.

¹⁷ Then all of them, having seized Sosthenes the ruler of the synagogue, began to beat him before the judgment seat. And it mattered nothing to Gallio about these things.

² For I bear witness about them that they have zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.

⁵ Hypocrite! First cast out the beam from your eye, and then you will see clearly to cast out the splinter from the eye of your brother.

⁷ Hypocrites! Isaiah prophesied rightly concerning you, saying,

¹⁴ Leave them! They are blind guides of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.”

¹³ But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of the heavens before men. For you neither enter, nor even do you allow those who are entering to go in.

²⁸ Thus indeed outwardly you also appear righteous to men, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.

⁴² How are you able to say to your brother, ‘Brother let that I might cast out the splinter that is in your eye,’ yourself not seeing the beam in your eye? Hypocrite! First cast out the beam from your eye, and then you will see clearly to cast out the splinter in the eye of your brother.

¹ In these times, the myriads of the crowd having been gathered together so as to trample upon one another, He began to say to His disciples first, “Take heed to yourselves of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

⁵ And He said to them, “Which of you whose son or ox will fall into a pit on the Sabbath day, also will not immediately pull him up?”

²¹ Jesus answered and said to them, “I did one work, and you all marvel. ²² Because of the fact that Moses has given you circumcision (not that it is of Moses, but of the fathers) also on the Sabbath you circumcise a man. ²³ If a man receives circumcision on the Sabbath so that the Law of Moses might not be broken, are you angry with Me because I made a man entirely sound on the Sabbath? ²⁴ Do not judge according to appearance, but judge the righteous judgment.”

²⁰ But Peter said to him, “Your silver, may it perish with you, because you thought the gift of God to be obtained by money! ²¹ To you there is no part nor lot in this matter, for your heart is not right before God. ²² Repent, therefore, of this wickedness of yours, and pray earnestly to the Lord, if indeed the intent of your heart will be forgiven you. ²³ For I see you being in the gall of bitterness and the bond of iniquity.”

⁹ And Saul, the one also called Paul, having been filled the Holy Spirit, having looked intently upon him, ¹⁰ said, “O full of all deceit and all craft, son of the devil, enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease perverting the straight ways the of Lord?

¹⁰ Then Jesus says to him, “Get you away, Satan! For it has been written: ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him alone shall you serve.’”

²⁷ And He said to them, “The Sabbath was made on account of the man, and not the man on account of the Sabbath.

⁸ Therefore produce fruits worthy of repentance. And do not begin to say in yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as father.’ For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones.

²⁴ And having cried out, he said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me and send Lazarus, that he might dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am suffering in this flame.’

⁹ And Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham.

⁴⁴ You are of your father the devil, and you desire to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has not stood in the truth, because there is no truth in him. Whenever he might speak falsehood, he speaks from the own; for he is a liar, and the father of it.

²⁶ Men, brothers, sons of the family of Abraham, and those among you fearing God, to us the message of this salvation has been sent.

¹² and the father of circumcision to those not only of circumcision, but also to those walking in the steps of the faith of our father Abraham during uncircumcision. ¹³ For the promise was to Abraham or his descendants that he should be heir of the world, not through the Law, but through the righteousness of faith. ¹⁴ For if those of the Law are heirs, faith has been made void and the promise made of no effect. ¹⁵ For Law brings wrath; and where there is no Law, neither is transgression. ¹⁶ Therefore it is of faith, that it may be according to grace, for the promise to be sure to all the seed, not only to that of the Law, but also to that of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us of all—

²⁶ and they might come to their senses out of the snare of the devil, having been captured by him for his will.

⁶ And they were not able to reply to these things.

³⁷ And as He is drawing near, already at the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples rejoicing, began to praise God in a loud voice for all the mighty works which they had seen, ³⁸ saying: “Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!” ³⁹ And some of the Pharisees from the crowd said to Him, “Teacher, rebuke Your disciples.” ⁴⁰ And answering He said, “I say to you that if these will be silent, the stones will cry out.”

⁴⁸ And they did not find what they might do; for all the people are listening, hanging on His words.

⁴⁰ And no longer did they dare to ask Him anything.

¹⁷ Therefore the crowd being with Him when He called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him out from the dead, continued to bear witness. ¹⁸ On account of this also the crowd met Him, because they heard of His having done this sign.

⁹ And all the people saw him walking and praising God, ¹⁰ and they recognized him, that he was the one sitting for alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple. And they were filled with wonder and amazement at that having happened to him. ¹¹ Now as he is clinging to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch called Solomon’s, greatly amazed.

²¹ And having further threatened them, they let them go, finding no way they might punish them, on account of the people, because all were glorifying God for that having happened.

⁹ But they will not advance much further, for their folly will be plain to all, as also that of those two became.

¹⁶ having a good conscience, so that in the case that they might speak against you, those reviling your good manner of life in Christ, they shall be ashamed.

²⁴ He put before them another parable, saying, “The kingdom of the heavens has become like a man having sown good seed in his field.

³¹ He put before them another parable, saying: “The kingdom of the heavens is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man having taken, sowed in his field, ³² which indeed is smallest of all the seeds; but when it is grown, it is greater than the garden plants, and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and encamp in its branches.”

²⁶ And He was saying, “The kingdom of God is thus, as a man should cast the seed upon the earth,

³⁰ And He was saying, “To what shall we liken the kingdom of God? Or with what parable shall we present it? ³¹ As a grain of mustard, which, when it has been sown upon the earth, is smallest of all the seeds that are upon the earth, ³² and when it has been sown, it grows up, and becomes greater than all the garden plants, and produces great branches, so that the birds of the air are able to encamp under its shadow.” ³³ And with many such parables He kept speaking the word to them, as they were able to hear, ³⁴ and He would not speak to them without parables; but privately He would explain all things to His own disciples.

³¹ “To what therefore will I liken the men of this generation? And to what are they like?

²⁰ And again He said, “To what shall I liken the kingdom of God?

²¹ nor will they say, ‘Behold here,’ or ‘There.’ For behold, the kingdom of God is in your midst.”

²⁰ And He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly I say to you, if you have faith as of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. And nothing will be impossible for you.”

³¹ As a grain of mustard, which, when it has been sown upon the earth, is smallest of all the seeds that are upon the earth, ³² and when it has been sown, it grows up, and becomes greater than all the garden plants, and produces great branches, so that the birds of the air are able to encamp under its shadow.”

⁶ And the Lord said, “If you have faith like a grain of mustard, you would have said to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and be planted in the sea,’ and it would have obeyed you.

⁴¹ Therefore those indeed having received his word were baptized, and on that day about three thousand souls were added.

⁴ But many of those having heard the word believed, and the number of the men became about five thousand.

¹⁴ Simeon has related how God first visited to take out of the Gentiles a people for His name. ¹⁵ And the words of the prophets agree with this, as it is written: ¹⁶ ‘After these things I will return and will rebuild the tabernacle of David which has fallen, and its ruins I will rebuild, and I will set it upright, ¹⁷ so that the remnant of men may seek out the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom has been called My name, upon them, says the Lord, doing these things, ¹⁸ known from eternity.’

²⁰ And those having heard began glorifying God, and they said to him, “You see, brother, how many myriads there are among the Jews having believed, and are all zealous ones for the Law.

¹⁹ in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of the Spirit of God, so as for me, from Jerusalem and around unto Illyricum, to have fully proclaimed the gospel of Christ,

¹⁵ And the seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were great voices in heaven, saying: “The kingdom of the world has become that of our Lord and of His Christ, and He will reign to the ages of the ages.”

³³ He spoke to them another parable: “The kingdom of the heavens is like leaven, which a woman having taken, hid in three measures of flour until all of it was leavened.”

¹⁴ but whoever may drink of the water that I will give him will never thirst, to the age. Instead, the water that I will give to him will become in him a spring of water, welling up into eternal life.”

⁶ Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump?

⁶ being persuaded of this very thing, that the One having begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Christ Jesus.

⁹ And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and all discernment, ¹⁰ for you to approve the things being excellent, so that you may be pure and blameless unto the day of Christ, ¹¹ being filled with the fruit of righteousness that is through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

²³ Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely, and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved, entirely blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. ²⁴ The One calling you is faithful, who also will do it.

²¹ Therefore, having put aside all filthiness and abounding of wickedness, receive in humility the implanted word, being able to save your souls.

³⁵ And Jesus was going throughout all the cities and the villages, teaching in their synagogues, and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness.

⁶ And He was amazed because of their unbelief. And He was going around the villages, teaching.

³² And they were on the way, going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was going on before them. And they were astonished, and those following were afraid. And having taken to Him the Twelve again, He began to tell them the things being about to happen to Him: ³³ “Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes, and they will condemn Him to death, and will betray Him to the Gentiles. ³⁴ And they will mock Him, and will spit upon Him, and will flog and will kill Him, and on the third day He will rise again.”

⁴³ But He said to them, “It behooves Me to preach the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns also, because for this I have been sent forth.” ⁴⁴ And He was preaching in the synagogues of Judea.

⁵¹ And it came to pass in the completing of the days of His ascension, that He steadfastly set the face to go to Jerusalem.

³⁸ Jesus from Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all those being oppressed by the devil, because God was with Him.

¹⁴ For small is the gate and narrow the way leading to life, and few are those finding it.

²⁵ And the disciples having heard were exceedingly astonished, saying, “Who then is able to be saved?”

¹⁶ Thus the last will be first, and the first, last.”

¹⁴ For many are called, but few chosen.”

³ And as He was sitting upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him in private, saying, “Tell us, when these things will be? And what is the sign of Your coming, and the consummation of the age?” ⁴ And Jesus answering, said to them, “Take heed, lest anyone mislead you. ⁵ For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will mislead many.

⁴ “Tell us when these things will be, and what will be the sign when all these things are going to be accomplished?” ⁵ And Jesus began to say to them, “Take heed, lest anyone mislead you.

¹³ And one from the crowd said to Him, “Teacher, say to my brother to divide the inheritance with me.” ¹⁴ And He said to him, “Man, who appointed Me a judge or partitioner over you?” ¹⁵ And He said to them, “Beware, and keep yourselves from all covetousness; for not to anyone is his life in the abundance of that which he possesses.”

⁷ And they asked Him, saying, “Teacher, when will these things be, and what will be the sign when these things are about to take place?” ⁸ And He said, “Take heed, lest you be led astray; for many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am He,’ and ‘The time is drawn near.’ Do not go after them.

²¹ Therefore having seen him, Peter says to Jesus, “Lord, and what about this man?” ²² Jesus says to him, “If I desire him to remain until I come, what is it to you? You follow Me!”

⁷ And He said to them, “It is not yours to know times or seasons that the Father put in place by His own authority. ⁸ But you will receive power, the Holy Spirit having come upon you, and you will be witnesses for Me, both in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the uttermost part of the earth.”

¹³ Enter through the narrow gate for wide is the gate and broad the way leading to destruction, and many are those entering through it. ¹⁴ For small is the gate and narrow the way leading to life, and few are those finding it.

¹² And from the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of the heavens is taken by violence and the violent seize it.

¹⁸ For John had been saying to Herod, “It is not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife.” ¹⁹ And Herodias held it against him, and wished to kill him, and was not able. ²⁰ For Herod was afraid of John, knowing him a righteous and holy man; and he kept him safe. And having heard him, he was greatly perplexed, and heard him gladly.

³⁶ Watch also at every season, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are about to come to pass and to stand before the Son of Man.”

²⁷ Do not work for the food that is perishing, but for the food enduring unto eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you; for God the Father has sealed Him.”

³⁴ You will seek Me and will not find Me; and where I am, you are not able to come.”

²¹ Then He said to them again, “I am going away and you will seek Me, and you will die in your sin. Where I go, you are not able to come.”

³³ Little children, yet a little while I am with you. You will seek Me, and as I said to the Jews, now I say also to you: ‘Where I go, you are not able to come.’

³¹ but Israel, pursuing a law of righteousness, did not attain to that law. ³² Why? Because it was not by faith, but as by works. They stumbled over the stone of stumbling, ³³ as it has been written: “Behold, I lay in Zion a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense; and the one believing on Him will never be put to shame.”

³ For being ignorant of the righteousness of God and seeking to establish the own righteousness, they did not submit to the righteousness of God.

²⁴ Do you not know that those running in a race course, indeed all run, but one receives the prize? Run thus, that you might obtain it. ²⁵ Now everyone striving controls himself in all things; then indeed they, that they might receive a perishable crown; but we, an imperishable. ²⁶ Therefore I run thus, not as uncertainly; I fight thus, not as beating the air. ²⁷ But I batter my body and bring it into servitude, lest having preached to others, I myself might be disqualified.

¹² Therefore my beloved, just as always you have obeyed, not only as in my presence, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. ¹³ For God is the One working in you both to will and to work according to His good pleasure.

²⁹ Unto this also I toil, striving according to His energy, working in me in power.

¹¹ Therefore we should be diligent to enter into that rest, so that no one should fall by the same example of disobedience.

¹⁰ Therefore, brothers, be diligent, rather, to make your calling and election sure. For practicing these things, never at any time shall you stumble.

²¹ Not everyone saying to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of My Father in the heavens. ²² Many will say to Me in that the day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ ²³ And then I will declare unto them, ‘I never knew you; depart you from Me, those working lawlessness.’

¹⁰ And while they are going away to buy, the bridegroom came, and those ready went in with him to the wedding feast. And the door was shut. ¹¹ And afterward, the other virgins come also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ ¹² And answering he said, ‘Truly I say to you, I do not know you.’

⁴¹ Then also He will say to those on the left, ‘Depart from Me, those being cursed, into the eternal fire, having been prepared for the devil and his angels.

⁴⁶ And why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I say?

²⁷ And he will say, ‘I tell you, I do not know from where you are; depart from me, all you workers of unrighteousness.’

² For He says: “In the acceptable time I listened to you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” Behold, now is the time of favor; behold, now is the day of salvation.

⁷ Therefore, just as the Holy Spirit says: “Today if you should hear His voice, ⁸ do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion, in the day of testing in the wilderness,

¹⁷ For you know that even afterward, wishing to inherit the blessing, he was rejected; for he found no place of repentance, although having earnestly sought it with tears.

⁵ having a form of godliness but denying its power. And turn away from these.

¹⁶ They profess to know God, but in their works they deny Him, being detestable and disobedient and unfit for any good work.

¹² And answering he said, ‘Truly I say to you, I do not know you.’

²⁵ From the time the master of the house shall have risen up and shall have shut the door, then you shall begin to stand outside and to knock at the door, saying, ‘Lord, open to us.’ And he answering, will say to you, ‘I do not know from where you are.’

³ But if anyone loves God, he is known by Him.

⁹ But now, having known God, but rather having been known by God, how do you turn again to the weak and destitute principles, to which you desire to be enslaved again anew?

¹⁹ Nevertheless, the firm foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those being His,” and, “Let everyone naming the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.”

¹¹ And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and will recline with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of the heavens. ¹² But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into the outer darkness; there will be weeping and gnashing of the teeth.”

¹⁵ And you, Capernaum, will you be lifted up to heaven? No, you will be brought down to Hades.

¹⁵ And one of those reclining with Him, having heard these things, said to Him, “Blessed is he who will eat bread in the kingdom of God.”

²³ And in Hades, having lifted up his eyes, being in torment, he sees Abraham from afar, and Lazarus in his bosom.

⁴² And he was saying, “Jesus, remember me when You come into Your kingdom!” ⁴³ And He said to him, “Truly I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”

⁵ This is a plain token of the righteous judgment of God, for you to be accounted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which also you suffer.

¹¹ For in this way the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be richly supplied to you.

⁸ But to the cowardly and unbelieving and having become abominable and murderers and the sexually immoral and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their portion is in the lake burning with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

¹⁵ Outside are the dogs, and the sorcerers, and the sexually immoral, and the murderers, and the idolaters, and everyone loving and practicing falsehood.

¹¹ And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and will recline with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of the heavens.

²⁷ And then He will send the angels and will gather together His elect from the four winds, from the end of earth to the end of heaven.

²⁸ Therefore be it known to you that this salvation of God has been sent to the Gentiles, and they will listen!”

⁶ that the Gentiles are joint-heirs, and a joint-body, and joint-partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus, through the gospel, ⁷ of which I became servant according to the gift of God’s grace, having been given to me according to the working of His power. ⁸ To me, the very least of all saints, was given this grace: to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ

⁶ the one being present unto you, just as also in all the world it is bearing fruit and increasing, just as also among you from the day you heard and knew the grace of God in truth,

²³ if indeed you continue in the faith, established and firm, and not being moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard, having been proclaimed in all creation under heaven, of which I Paul have become a minister.

⁹ After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude, which no one was able to number it, out of every nation, and tribes, and peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, having been clothed with white robes, and palm branches in their hands. ¹⁰ And they were crying out in a loud voice, saying: “Salvation to our God, the One sitting on the throne, and to the Lamb!”

³⁰ But many who are first will be last, and the last first.

²⁸ But what do you think? A man had two sons, and having come to the first he said, ‘Son, go work in the vineyard today.’ ²⁹ And answering he said, ‘I will not.’ But afterward, having repented, he went. ³⁰ And having come to the second, he said likewise. And answering he said, ‘I will sir,’ and he did not go. ³¹ Which of the two did the will of the father?” They say, “The first.” Jesus says to them, “Truly I say to you that the tax collectors and the prostitutes go before you into the kingdom of God.

³¹ But many first will be last; and the last, first.”

¹ At that time Herod the tetrarch heard the news of Jesus,

¹ And in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judea, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip being tetrarch of the region of Ituraea and of Trachonitis, and Lysanias being tetrarch of Abilene,

¹⁴ And King Herod heard; for His name became well known. And people were saying, “John, the one baptizing, is risen out from the dead, and because of this the miraculous powers operate in him.”

²⁶ And the king, having been made very sorrowful, on account of the oaths and those reclining with him, did not want to refuse her. ²⁷ And immediately the king, having sent an executioner, commanded to be brought his head. And having gone, he beheaded him in the prison, ²⁸ and brought his head upon a platter, and gave it to the girl, and the girl gave it to her mother.

¹⁹ But Herod the tetrarch, being reproved by him concerning Herodias the wife of his brother, and concerning all the evils that Herod had done, ²⁰ added this yet to all: He also locked up John in prison.

⁷ And Herod the Tetrarch heard of all the things being done, and was perplexed, because it was said by some that John has been raised out from the dead, ⁸ and by some that Elijah had appeared, and by others that a prophet of the ancients had arisen. ⁹ And Herod said, “John I beheaded, but who is this concerning whom I hear such things?” And he was seeking to see Him.

⁸ And Herod, having seen Jesus, was exceedingly glad; for of a long time he is wishing to see Him, because of hearing concerning Him; and he was hoping to see some sign done by Him. ⁹ And He kept questioning Him in many words, but He answered him nothing. ¹⁰ And the chief priests and the scribes had been standing by, vehemently accusing Him. ¹¹ And Herod, with his troops, having set Him at naught and also having mocked Him, having put on Him splendid apparel, sent Him back to Pilate.

³² Jesus answered them, “I have shown you many good works from the Father; because of which work of these do you stone Me?”

⁸ The disciples say to Him, “Rabbi, just now the Jews were seeking to stone You, and You are going there again?” ⁹ Jesus answered, “Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world. ¹⁰ But if anyone walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him.”

⁴ I glorified You on the earth, having completed the work that You have given Me that I should do. ⁵ And now glorify Me, You Father, with Yourself, with the glory that I had with You before the world existed.

³⁰ Therefore when Jesus took the sour wine, He said “It has been finished.” And having bowed the head, He yielded up the spirit.

¹⁰ For it was fitting to Him, for whom are all things and by whom are all things, having brought many sons to glory, to make perfect the author of their salvation through sufferings.

⁹ and having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all those obeying Him,

²⁸ For the Law appoints as high priests men having weakness; but the word of the oath, which is after the Law, a Son having been perfected to the age.

¹⁸ “Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn Him to death.

¹¹ And the crowds were saying, “This is the prophet, Jesus, the One from Nazareth of Galilee.”

⁵³ And they did not receive Him, because His face was going toward Jerusalem.

³⁴ Jesus says to them, “My food is that I should do the will of the One having sent Me, and should finish His work.

⁴ It behooves us to work the works of the One having sent Me while it is day; night is coming, when no one is able to work.

⁹ Jesus answered, “Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world.

⁵⁴ Therefore Jesus no longer walked publicly among the Jews, but went away from there into the region near the wilderness, to a city called Ephraim. And there He stayed with the disciples.

³⁵ Therefore Jesus said to them, “Yet a little while, the light is with you. Walk while you have the light, so that darkness might not overtake you. And the one walking in the darkness does not know where he is going.

²⁷ For those dwelling in Jerusalem and their rulers, not having known Him and the voices of the prophets that are being read on every Sabbath, having condemned Him, they fulfilled them.

³⁵ And the farmers having taken his servants, one they beat, and one they killed, and one they stoned. ³⁶ Again he sent other servants, more than the first, and they did likewise to them.

³ And he sent his servants to call those having been invited to the wedding feast—and they were not willing to come.

⁶ And the rest, having laid hold of his servants, mistreated and killed them.

³⁷ Jerusalem, Jerusalem, killing the prophets and stoning those having been sent to her! How often would I have gathered together your children, the way in which a hen gathers together her chicks under the wings, and you were not willing! ³⁸ Behold, your house is left to you desolate! ³⁹ For I say to you, you shall not see Me from now until you say, ‘Blessed is the One coming in the name of the Lord.’”

²⁸ But he was angry, and was not willing to go in. And his father, having gone, was begging him.

⁴¹ And as He drew near, having seen the city, He wept over it, ⁴² saying, “If you had known in this day, even you, the things for peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes.

⁴⁴ And they will level you to the ground, and your children within you, and will not leave a stone upon a stone within you, because you did not know the season of your visitation.”

²⁸ And having turned to them, Jesus said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for Me, but weep for yourselves and for your children.

¹⁴ But you denied the Holy and Righteous One and requested a murderer to be granted to you. ¹⁵ And you killed the Author of life, whom God has raised up out from the dead, whereof we are witnesses.

⁵² Which of the prophets did your fathers not persecute? And they killed those having foretold about the coming of the Righteous One, of whom you have now become betrayers and murderers,

⁵⁹ And as they were stoning Stephen, he was calling out and saying, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.”

¹ And Saul was there consenting to his killing. And on that day a great persecution arose against the church in Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria.

²⁵ Now Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present Jerusalem, for she is in slavery with her children. ²⁶ But the Jerusalem above is free, who is our mother.

⁸ And their body will be upon the street of the great city, which is called spiritually Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified.

⁹ And the crowds going before Him and those following were crying out, saying: “Hosanna to the Son of David!” “Blessed is the One coming in the name of the Lord!” “Hosanna in the highest!”

⁹ And those going before and those following were crying out: “Hosanna!” “Blessed is the One coming in the name of the Lord!” ¹⁰ “Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father, David!” “Hosanna in the highest!”

⁵ And as some were speaking about the temple, that it was adorned with goodly stones and consecrated gifts, He said, ⁶ “As to these things which you are beholding, the days will come in which no stone will be left upon a stone, which will not be thrown down.”

²⁴ And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and will be led captive into all the nations; and Jerusalem will be trodden down by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

³⁴ You will seek Me and will not find Me; and where I am, you are not able to come.” ³⁵ Therefore the Jews said among themselves, “Where is He about to go that we will not find Him? Is He about to go to the Dispersion among the Greeks and to teach the Greeks? ³⁶ What is this word that He said, ‘You will seek Me, and will not find Me,’ and ‘Where I am you are not able to come’?”

²² Therefore the Jews were saying, “Will He kill Himself, that He says, ‘Where I go, you are not able to come’?” ²³ And He was saying to them, “You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. ²⁴ Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.”

¹³ took the branches of the palm trees and went out to meet Him, and were shouting: “Hosanna!” “Blessed is the One coming in the name of the Lord!” “And the King of Israel!”

³⁵ Therefore Jesus said to them, “Yet a little while, the light is with you. Walk while you have the light, so that darkness might not overtake you. And the one walking in the darkness does not know where he is going. ³⁶ While you have the light, believe in the light, so that you may become sons of light.” Jesus spoke these things, and having gone away, He was hidden from them.

¹⁹ Yet a little while, and the world sees Me no more, but you see Me. Because I live, you also will live. ²⁰ In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. ²¹ The one having My commandments and keeping them, he is the one loving Me. Now the one loving Me will be loved by My Father. And I will love him, and will show Myself to him.” ²² Judas (not Iscariot) says to Him, “Lord, then what has occurred, that You are about to manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?” ²³ Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word, and My Father will love him, and we will come to him and will make a home with him.

¹³ And they set false witnesses, saying, “This man does not stop speaking words against this holy place and the Law. ¹⁴ For we have heard him saying that this Jesus of Nazareth will destroy this place and will change the customs that Moses delivered to us.”

⁹ that if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him out from the dead, you will be saved. ¹⁰ For in the heart is belief unto righteousness, and in the mouth is confession unto salvation. ¹¹ For the Scripture says, “Everyone believing on Him will not be put to shame.” ¹² For there is no difference between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord of all is rich toward all those calling Him, ¹³ for, “Whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord will be saved.” ¹⁴ How then shall they call on Him whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe on Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear apart from preaching? ¹⁵ And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it has been written: “How beautiful are the feet of those proclaiming good news of good things!”

¹⁵ But unto this day, when Moses shall be read, a veil lies over their heart. ¹⁶ But whenever one shall have turned to the Lord, the veil is taken away. ¹⁷ Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. ¹⁸ And we all having been unveiled in face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image, from glory to glory, even as from the Lord, the Spirit.
