⁶ He is not here, but He is risen! Remember how He spoke to you, being yet in Galilee,

⁴⁰ For just as Jonah was in the belly of the great fish three days and three nights, so the Son of Man will be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights.

²¹ From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that it is necessary for Him to go away to Jerusalem, and to suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and to be killed, and to be raised on the third day.

²² And while they were abiding in Galilee, Jesus said to them, “The Son of Man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men, ²³ and they will kill Him, and on the third day He will be raised up.” And they were deeply grieved.

¹⁸ “Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn Him to death. ¹⁹ And they will betray Him to the Gentiles to mock and to flog and to crucify; and the third day He will rise again.”

⁶³ saying, “Sir, we have remembered how that deceiver, while living, said, ‘After three days I arise.’

⁶ He is not here, for He is risen as He said! Come, see the place where He was lying.

³¹ And He began to teach them that it is necessary for the Son of Man to suffer many things, and to be rejected by the elders and the chief priests and the scribes, and to be killed, and after three days to rise again.

⁹ And as they were descending from the mountain, He instructed them that they should tell to no one what they had seen, except until the Son of Man had risen out from the dead. ¹⁰ And they kept that saying among themselves, questioning what it is to rise out from the dead.

³⁰ Having gone forth from there, they were passing through Galilee; and He did not want that anyone should know, ³¹ for He was teaching His disciples. And He was saying to them, “The Son of Man is delivered into the hands of men, and they will kill Him; and having been killed, on the third day He will arise.” ³² And they did not understand the saying, and they were afraid to ask Him.

³¹ And having taken aside the Twelve, He said to them, “Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things having been written by the prophets about the Son of Man will be accomplished. ³² For He will be betrayed to the Gentiles and will be mocked and will be insulted and will be spit upon. ³³ And having flogged Him, they will kill Him; and on the third day He will rise again.”

⁴⁴ And He said unto to them, “These are my words, which I spoke to you being still with you, that all things having been written concerning Me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms, it behooves to be fulfilled.” ⁴⁵ Then He opened their mind to understand the Scriptures. ⁴⁶ And He said to them, “Thus it has been written: The Christ was to suffer and to rise out from the dead on the third day,
