¹⁸ Therefore indeed exhorting many other things, he was preaching the good news to the people.

¹⁵ John witnesses concerning Him, and he cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I was saying, ‘The One coming after me has precedence over me, because He was before me.’”

²⁹ On the next day, he sees Jesus coming to him and says, “Behold the Lamb of God, the One taking away the sin of the world.

³⁴ And I have seen and have borne witness that this is the Son of God.”

²⁹ The one having the bride is the bridegroom; and the friend of the bridegroom, the one standing and listening for him, rejoices with joy because of the bridegroom’s voice. Therefore, this joy of mine is fulfilled. ³⁰ It behooves Him to increase, but me to decrease. ³¹ The One coming from above is above all. The one being from the earth is from the earth, and speaks from the earth. The One coming from heaven is above all. ³² What He has seen and heard, this He testifies, but no one receives His testimony. ³³ The one having received His testimony has set his seal that God is true. ³⁴ For He whom God sent speaks the words of God, for He gives the Spirit without measure. ³⁵ The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hand. ³⁶ The one believing in the Son has eternal life, but the one not obeying the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”

⁴⁰ And he earnestly testified many other words and was exhorting them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation.”
