¹¹ But when they might lead you away, delivering you up, do not be anxious beforehand what you should say; but whatever might be given to you in that hour, speak that. For you are not those speaking, but the Holy Spirit.

¹⁷ But beware of men; for they will deliver you into the courts and they will flog you in their synagogues.

¹⁹ And when they deliver you up, do not be anxious how or what you should speak; for in that hour you will be given what you should say, ²⁰ for you are not those speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you. ²¹ And brother will deliver up brother to death, and father, child; and children will rise up against parents and will put them to death.

⁹ But you take heed to yourselves. They will betray you to courts, and you will be beaten in synagogues; and you will stand before governors and kings because of Me, for a testimony to them.

¹¹ And when they bring you before the synagogues and the rulers and the authorities, do not be anxious how or what you shall reply in defense, or what you should say. ¹² For the Holy Spirit will teach you in the same hour what it behooves you to say.”

¹⁴ Settle therefore in your minds not to premeditate to make a defense. ¹⁵ For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all those opposing you will not be able to resist nor to reply to.

²⁷ John answered and said, “A man is able to receive not one thing if it is not given to him from heaven.

⁴ And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit was giving to them to utter forth.

¹³ The God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified His servant Jesus, whom indeed you betrayed and disowned in the presence of Pilate, that one having adjudged to release Him.

⁸ Then Peter, having been filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers of the people and elders, ⁹ if we are being examined this day as to a good work to the ailing man, by what means he has been healed, ¹⁰ let it be known to all of you, and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth—whom you crucified, whom God raised out from the dead—in Him this man stands before you sound. ¹¹ This is ‘the stone having been rejected by you, the builders, which has become the head of the corner.’ ¹² And there is salvation in no other, for there is not another name under heaven having been given among men, by which it behooves us to be saved.” ¹³ Now seeing the boldness of Peter and of John, and having understood that they are unschooled and ordinary men, they were astonished. And they recognized them, that they had been with Jesus. ¹⁴ And beholding the man having been healed standing with them, they had nothing to contradict. ¹⁵ But having commanded them to go outside the Council, they began to confer with one another, ¹⁶ saying, “What shall we do to these men? For truly that a noteworthy sign has come to pass through them is evident to all those inhabiting Jerusalem, and we are not able to deny it. ¹⁷ But that it might not spread further on among the people, let us warn them to speak no longer to any man in this name.” ¹⁸ And having called them, they commanded them not to speak nor to teach at all in the name of Jesus. ¹⁹ But Peter and John answering, said to them, “Whether it is right before God to listen to you, rather than God, you must judge. ²⁰ For we are not able to stop speaking about what we have seen and heard.” ²¹ And having further threatened them, they let them go, finding no way they might punish them, on account of the people, because all were glorifying God for that having happened. ²² For the man on whom this sign of healing had taken place was more than forty years old.

³¹ And they having prayed, the place in which they were assembled was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and were speaking the word of God with boldness.

¹⁰ And they were not able to withstand the wisdom and the Spirit by whom he was speaking.

¹⁵ And having looked intently on him, all sitting in the Council saw his face as the face of an angel.

⁵⁵ But he being full of the Holy Spirit, having looked intently into heaven, saw the glory of God and Jesus standing at the right hand of God,

¹³ which also we speak, not in words taught of human wisdom, but in those taught of the Spirit, communicating spiritual things by spiritual means.

⁵ which was not made known to the sons of men in other generations as now it has been revealed in the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets,

¹⁹ and also for me, that in the opening of my mouth, divine utterance may be given to me to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel, ²⁰ for which I am an ambassador in a chain, that in it I may be bold, as it behooves me to speak.

⁵ Now if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask from God, the One giving generously to all and not finding fault, and it will be given to him.

¹² to whom it was revealed that they were serving not themselves, but you, in those things which now have been proclaimed to you by those having proclaimed the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit having been sent from heaven, into which angels desire to look.
