³⁹ And Jesus said, “For judgment I came into this world, that those not seeing may see, and those seeing may become blind.” ⁴⁰ Some of the Pharisees who were with Him heard these things, and they said to Him, “Are we also blind?” ⁴¹ Jesus said to them, “If you were blind, you would have no sin. But since you say, ‘We see,’ your sin remains.”

³ But if indeed our gospel is concealed, it is concealed to those who are perishing, ⁴ in whom the god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, so as for not to beam forth the illumination of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
