¹⁴ and most of the brothers, trusting in the Lord by my chains, to dare more abundantly to speak fearlessly the word.

⁷⁴ having been saved from the hand of our enemies, to serve Him without fear,

⁵ But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear the One who has authority, after the killing, to cast into Gehenna. Yes, I say to you, fear Him. ⁶ Are not five sparrows sold for two assarion? And not one of them is forgotten before God. ⁷ But even the hairs of your head all have been numbered. Fear not; you are more valuable than many sparrows.

²³ Now having been let go, they came to the own and reported how much the chief priests and the elders had said to them. ²⁴ And having heard, they lifted up their voice with one accord to God and said, “Sovereign Lord, You made the heaven and the earth and the sea and all that is in them, ²⁵ having spoken by the Holy Spirit through the mouth of Your servant, our father David: ‘Why did the Gentiles rage, and the peoples devise vain things? ²⁶ The kings of the earth took their stand, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord and against His Christ.’ ²⁷ For in truth, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel, were gathered together in this city against Your holy servant Jesus whom You anointed, ²⁸ to do whatever Your hand and Your purpose had determined beforehand to happen. ²⁹ And now, Lord, look upon their threats, and grant to Your servants to speak Your word with all boldness, ³⁰ in that You stretch out Your hand for healing and signs and wonders to take place through the name of Your holy servant Jesus.” ³¹ And they having prayed, the place in which they were assembled was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and were speaking the word of God with boldness.

³ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassions, and God of all comfort, ⁴ the One comforting us in all our tribulation, for us to be able to comfort those in every tribulation through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God, ⁵ because as the sufferings of the Christ abound toward us, so through Christ our comfort also abounds. ⁶ But if we are constricted, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are encouraged, it is for your comfort, operating in the endurance of the same sufferings that we also suffer. ⁷ And our hope for you is sure, knowing that as you are partners of our sufferings, so also of our comfort.

¹³ Therefore I implore you not to lose heart at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.

¹⁹ and also for me, that in the opening of my mouth, divine utterance may be given to me to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel, ²⁰ for which I am an ambassador in a chain, that in it I may be bold, as it behooves me to speak.

⁷ Accordingly, it is right for me to feel this about all of you, since I have you in the heart. Both in my chains and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you all are fellow partakers of grace with me.

¹ Therefore my brothers, beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, in this way stand firm in the Lord, beloved.

⁴ so that I should make it clear, as it behooves me to speak.

⁷ All the things concerning me, Tychicus will make known to you, the beloved brother and faithful servant and fellow bond-servant in the Lord,

² But having previously suffered and having been mistreated in Philippi, just as you know, we had boldness in our God to speak to you the gospel of God amid much conflict.
