¹³ In love, hold them in highest regard because of their work. Live in peace with one another.

²⁴ Then Joseph sent his brothers on their way, and as they were leaving, he said to them, “Do not quarrel on the way!”

¹ A song of ascents. Of David. Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in harmony!

⁴⁰ He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives the One who sent Me.

⁵⁰ Salt is good, but if the salt loses its saltiness, with what will you season it? Have salt among yourselves, and be at peace with one another.”

³ When the centurion heard about Jesus, he sent some Jewish elders to ask Him to come and heal his servant. ⁴ They came to Jesus and pleaded with Him earnestly, “This man is worthy to have You grant this, ⁵ for he loves our nation and has built our synagogue.”

³⁴ A new commandment I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you also must love one another. ³⁵ By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another.”

¹⁷ This is My command to you: Love one another.

¹⁷ As it is written: “I have made you a father of many nations.” He is our father in the presence of God, in whom he believed, the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being what does not yet exist. ¹⁸ Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as he had been told, “So shall your offspring be.” ¹⁹ Without weakening in his faith, he acknowledged the decrepitness of his body (since he was about a hundred years old) and the lifelessness of Sarah’s womb.

¹ So then, men ought to regard us as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. ² Now it is required of stewards that they be found faithful.

⁷ Who serves as a soldier at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard and does not eat of its fruit? Who tends a flock and does not drink of its milk? ⁸ Do I say this from a human perspective? Doesn’t the Law say the same thing? ⁹ For it is written in the Law of Moses: “Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain.” Is it about oxen that God is concerned? ¹⁰ Isn’t He actually speaking on our behalf? Indeed, this was written for us, because when the plowman plows and the thresher threshes, they should also expect to share in the harvest. ¹¹ If we have sown spiritual seed among you, is it too much for us to reap a material harvest from you?

¹¹ Finally, brothers, rejoice! Aim for perfect harmony, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.

¹⁴ And although my illness was a trial to you, you did not despise or reject me. Instead, you welcomed me as if I were an angel of God, as if I were Christ Jesus Himself.

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

⁶ Nevertheless, the one who receives instruction in the word must share in all good things with his instructor.

³ and with diligence to preserve the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.

¹⁵ Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, for to this you were called as members of one body. And be thankful. ¹⁶ Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.

²² Flee from youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, together with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

¹⁴ Pursue peace with everyone, as well as holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.

¹⁸ Peacemakers who sow in peace reap the fruit of righteousness.
